Llama Travel Reviews 

We have recently returned from our fourth tour with Llama travel and the it is time to give this company the accolade it deserves. We are not people who write reviews or base our travels on published forums and to date have never written a review of any travels we have taken whether it be guides, hotels, restaurants, flights or organisations. However Llama travel is in a league of its own. From our first contact with one of their specialists; we were fortunate to have dealt with Oliver, it was clear that we were in good hands. The planning and attention to detail was faultless, even to the arrangement of the itinerary to suit our needs as against what some of the guide books were suggesting. At all times the overseas guides and drivers were reliable, punctual, passionate about their country, hugely informative and most importantly good company.Everywhere we went we felt secure and so well looked after. The documentation provided was clear and informative and gave a detailed insight of what we could expect. The wide ranging accommodation types were exceptional and of the highest quality from the point of cleanliness, the wide ranging facilities, comfort and in keeping with the environment, be it city, countryside, tropical rain forest or a land based Galápagos stay. We cannot praise Llama travel highly enough as they have provided some exceptional travel experiences for us. Of them all, our recent tour of Ecuador and the Galápagos was the most rewarding and made us feel very privileged to have been exposed to such a staggeringly beautiful and unique environment.

Llama Travel in my opinion must be the very best travel company ever. I had wanted to visit Peru for over 30 years so I researched information about the country and the trips as thoroughly as I could. every part of the trip was wonderful. We did the 3 week trip which included the Amazon Rainforest, Machu Pichu, the Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca, Colca Canyon, Arequipa and the Ballestos Islands. Please don't miss those as they are packed with bird life. Quite remarkable. The guides were so knowledgeable, thorough and kind. They were always on time and even came into the airports to ensure that we got our connection. Llama Travel were very helpful from the first phone call and very adaptable and truthful about the options they could offer. We didn't upgrade and the quality of the hotels was very good. The Incaterra lodge in the Sacred Valley and the one in the Amazon were superb. If I was lucky enough to do it again the only thing I would change would be to travel by train to Lake Titicaca from Cusco. We chose the bus to save money but I heard from people who travelled by train and I was quite envious.

At the beginning of December 2019 my friend Heather and I returned from an amazing 2 week trip to Chile and Argentina incorporating the capitals and patagonian regions of both countries. It was such an easy and fantastic trip from beginning to end. The guides from condor travel were all so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with tips of what to do with free days and offering their knowledge of local atrractions on excursion days.

I have experienced tours with other companies and this was by far the best that i have experienced. I will definitely book another tour with llama in the future.

Went on the Peru tour including Machu Picchu Trek , rain forest stay, Lake Titicaca and everything we could fit in within our time.
Could not recommend the whole experience enough from booking and information to the organisation there. Hotels fantastic, guides in every place couldn’t have been better.
We were 2 1/2 weeks away and could not fault anyone or anything

so delighted with our two week holiday in Peru organised by Llama Travel. Everything went perfectly and their co-agents, Condor Travel were superb. They were there to meet us at the airport and conduct us to our hotel. On internal flights we were escorted to the airport and checked-in each time. The hotels were of excellent quality; comfortable, well situated and welcoming. Peru itself was brilliant. We had a brilliant time and Llama travel were fantastic throughout, putting together a superb itinerary including a three night beach-side extension at Mancora. Their organisation and communication skills were first rate. Can’t recommend then highly enough.

We just returned from our holiday booked through Llama Travel. We booked Incas and Conquistadors Tour with a Rio and Iguazu Falls Extension. Llama Tours pre travel service (our consultant Tsehai) was exceptional with all our queries responded quickly and our bookings finalised without problems
The service of their local agency in Peru (Condor Tours) cannot be faulted, making our holiday an experience to remember. Special mention to our very knowledgeable tour guide Jose Caparos, who was always prompt, courteous and patient with all our queries.
We were happy with most of our accommodation, although maybe would have opted for and upgrade in Cusco, near the Town Square
All flights booked by Llama were on time and we loved that their local agency checked us in and therefore made the airport part of the holiday relaxing
Highly recommending Llama Travel and will definitely use them again if we travel back to South America

Absolutely excellent company from booking onwards. The trip was really well organised with really great suggestions when we booked it. The drivers and guides were fantastic. We were in Ecuador and the Galapagos. The Beagle was a great choice for us.

The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Yes there was a hiccup with one of our tours being cancelled, but the upgraded substitute that was offered to us was top drawer.
We were made to feel like VIPs throughout the holiday. The accommodation in the Galápagos Islands - the Galápagos Suites - was about the best accommodation I have ever stayed in, in terms of value, cleanliness and customer service.
Equally the excursions in Ecuador went like clockwork.
The most irksome thing has been trying to post this review - I am now trying for a fifth time to post it.
I would not hesitate to recommend Llama Travel, and nor would I hesitate to use them again!

I have just come back from Peru - I booked through Llama travel and the whole holiday was faultless- we did lots of trips culminating in hiking the INca trail- Llama travel uses a company called Condor in Peru who were also amazing- We were communicated to well re timings etc, always met and taken to and from the airports, the guides and drivers were very knowledgeable and on time.

Llama travel reps in the UK office provided us with lots of detail before the trip and were very helpful when we were booking. I would highly recommend LLama travel and would definitely look to use them again in the future- An amazing experience, beautiful country and perfectly organised itinerary .

Just returned from Peru and Ecuador finishing in the Galapagos. From getting on the plane at Heathrow to returning 3 week and 10 flights later, the whole trip ran like clockwork. Felt like VIPs, transfers and transports fantastic. Condor guides in Peru were amazing, so passionate and knowledgeable Miguel in Lima, Gladys in Cusco, Yashira in Sacred Valley Patricia in Arequipa and Colca Canyon but especially Jo in Moray, Misminay and Machu Picchu. The same with Llama partners in Ecuador and finally fabulous Galapagos. 10 out of 10 for everything, thank you Llama Travel you made it, not only a trip of a lifetime but a memorable one. Well done

17 day trip to Peru was fantastic thanks to Llama Travel and Condor Travel whilst in South America. If Carlsberg ever produced a trip then this was it. The tour guides were excellent especially all who helped and assisted us on the 4 day Inca Trail. Would certainly recommend Llama Travel and their counterparts in Peru Condor Travel.

Just returned from two weeks holiday in Peru, together with Llama's local travel partners, Condor Travel, the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. All was as described and better.

This was my first time to South America and with Llama Travel. I was travelling alone and a bit nervous when I arrived - but no worries - Llama representatives were fantastic, always on time to meet you for connections and more than helpful. It was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend Llama Travel to anyone.

It was our first tour holiday and I have to say it was fantastic. It was so nice to have a small group of people who by the way were all amazing.We are a family of three 2 adults and a 9 year old girl.

I cannot recommend llama travel enough to other people as you were all amazing from the moment we submitted our enquiries, so supportive, patient, knowledgeable and organised. We initially selected your agency because we liked the itinerary which was a busy one and offered the opportunity to visit quite a few places.

In Costa Rica the tour guides Jorge (from Swiss Travel ) and Fernando (from Pachira group) were out of this world, very knowledgeable (and not just the guide speech if not they had round knowledge well beyond of what you can expect - flora, fauna , geography, history, general stuff) polite, helpful and I could continue non stop. They understood the tourist needs and gave us invaluable tips to make our journey amazing up to the very minimal detail.  
Everything was organised up to the very minor detail and explained. Everyone made you feel wonderful.
The partners you work with were amazing.

We had an amazing holiday. Marie from Llama travel organised a perfect trip for us. The communication before and during the holiday was good. Hotels transport guides were all above expectations. We would recommend Llama travel without reservation.

We have just returned home from an amazing family holiday to Costa Rica organised by Llama Travel. The local tour company was Swiss Travel and their guides, drivers and management of the tour was great. The overall tour was well planned and gave us a real flavour of the many various environments within Costa Rica - it was like having 5 holidays in 1! We were incredibly lucky to see amazing wildlife and welcomed by friendly people.
Our guide Jorge was so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable and a fantastic representative of both Swiss Travel and Costa Rica! He ensured that our holiday ran smoothly, without delays and allowed time for bathroom breaks and stops to grab snacks etc, which was much appreciated with our 9 year old son. Jorge (and our driver Jorge!) were great with our son and the other little girl in the group and always listened to their questions and comments. His knowledge about the wildlife was outstanding and his enthusiasm was infectious.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Llama Travel, Swiss Travel and Costa Rica to our friends and family and are so grateful that we have been able to experience such a beautiful country with such amazing wildlife.

Well organised, very helpful, expensive but very good.

Our first experience with Llama travel was superb. Everything went smoothly excellent staff on the ground in Costa Rica. Great hotels were selected as part of trip . Even the comfort stops were well chosen and the drivers happy to spot and stop for sloths etc. We had a super time with lots of wildlife spotted and a reasonable amount of down time given we had chosen to do 4 locations in two weeks. The group was 18 in total but often split in to two for wildlife walks so even though we r used to travelling under our own steam it was fine and met some nice people too.

Great trip to the Atacama desert and Easter Island . We have been to Chile before but wanted to go to these two places . The local guides were first class together with the transfers between airport and hotel , even when our flight was delayed and arrived in Santiago at 3am.
We spent 5 nights on Easter Island and if you have the time would recommend this. It is super to go back and see the sights at different times of the day . A good place just to relax.

What can I say efficiency at its best. Thank you Graham for your patience, knowledge and understanding. Cannot recommend the company and Graham enough. A real ambassador to your company.
