Peter and Miles did a fabulous job fitting our new door. LDC is such a reliable company. Our new door is beautiful.

This is my second door from LDC and Liam Byrne kindly helped to rectify a slight issue that arose. The fitting went well and the LDC decorator is now booked for the paint snagging, which is standard post fitting. Overall a good experience and I've used their sister company Tom Howley for a new kitchen too.

Fantastic service, the door is excellent and looks and feels like premium quality. The install team were great and special should out to the painter who revisited and spent a lot of time making a perfect finish. Great service throughout!

Having seen a friend's door, made & fitted by The London Door Company, I was highly recommended them - and they did not disappoint. From the first meeting, they were professional and knowledgeable, helpfully guiding us through the process to design the door but paying attention to the area we lived in & styles of doors nearby. The software instantly produced showed what the new door would look like in situ. It was a smooth process from booking, to measuring to fitting. And the fitters were excellent - professional, tidy and while they said they would 'make good' what they could, it went beyond my expectations of what the surrounding door area would look like. Highly recommend and am very happy with the result! Thanks!

We recently had our new front door installed and we are absolutely delighted with the result. The quality of the door and the craftsmanship of the glass design are excellent, and it has completely transformed the entrance to our home.

From start to finish, the process was smooth and well organised. Amanda Johnstone handled everything for us and was fantastic throughout – professional, helpful and very attentive to detail. She kept us informed at every stage and made the whole experience easy and stress-free.

The finished door looks stunning and we have already received many compliments from visitors. We would highly recommend the London Door Company for their excellent service and quality workmanship.

Darko and Jacob were fantastic. We are now the owners of a beautiful aubergine door. I can’t leave it there … James was our fantastic designer.

My fitter, called Peter, was efficient, polite and courteous. He was first class!

We went with the 1930s style door and lead glass window in the door and to the side and above the door frame.

Good bits:
The door does look great! We have had quite a few compliments on the door and glass.

It is a solid feeling door.

The designer was really helpful and understood what we wanted to achieve.

Bad bits:
We had the door, frame and lead glass installed on 7th October 2024. As of writing this review in December 2025 - there is still some work to be finalised.

First door installed was bowed so a replacement was made and eventually installed in August 2025.

The glass used has imperfections in it, which is noticeable when the sunlight hits that section of glass. Have raised it with LDC, surveyor came around but stated that it’s part of the glass making process and some imperfections can occur. There is no adverse impact on the glass, just aesthetically would have been nice to not have those imperfections.

We required remedial repainting and varnishing which, when eventually carried out, was done well.

The letter box lets in quite a draught. The hallway is cold around the door and on a cold breezy day, you feel the wind coming in from the letterbox.
Have reached out to LDC but was told due to the design and having the rigid hood around it, there is nothing they can do.

This is the reason why I have given 3 stars - in this day and age with focus on the environment and energy use and with the premium pricing of these doors, the doors should keep the weather out.

So if you are looking for a door that gets compliments, these doors are great.

If you want to keep the weather out, maybe not go the the 1930s door design from LDC. Or wait until they have a solution for the draught anyway!

If you do need remedial work, expect delays in getting it all sorted. 14 months on and still waiting for the finalisation.

The two guys who came to fit the door were very pleasant, they done a nice job, and the door looks fab.

I would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately the door is still not finished, exterior paint work and rendering still needs doing and a plinth above the casement window needs fitting and painting etc etc.

I was told that someone would come a few days later to finish the work, but after contacting London Door Company I have been told that the workmen wont be with me till the end of January! thats over 2 months waiting since the original fitting! I understand its the festive period and tradesmen are on holiday, but having to wait 8 weeks is excessive. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Denise came to discuss some initial designs for our front doors, it was truly one of the best meetings I've had with a designer. She was completely knowledgeable, practical and smart. I highly recommend her and the London Door Company, who have also done a beautiful door further down the street.

Excellent service and very happy with the final product and installation.

Quality of the door is amazing - has transformed our hall way and front of house!

From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Tom was brilliant and at every stage has been checking to see if we’re happy and satisfied with the service etc.

Excellent customer sales from the salesman to the fitter .Excellent workmanship .Completed the fitting of the staircase in one day .Would highly recommend this company to friends and family .

UPDATED: Our initial enquiry was answered in a timely manner and a consultation booked in with our local sales designer, Enzo. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the company, the product and also the different price points, taking us through a range of option combinations to find one we liked best. From that meeting to completion was about 6 weeks - no wait at all, only emailed once to request an installation date and it was booked in the next day (thank you to India for your prompt responses there!). The surveyor was efficient and the installation crew were very hard-working and tidy, putting up with interference from our nosy cats, with good humour.
The difference is notable. Our new door and frame are beautiful, the stained glass is exactly how I hoped it would be, the draught is GONE and it opens/closes so smoothly. I have a tiny regret about the side windows, which I probably should have tied in with the door window a bit more, but from outside you cannot see this and it is too easy to get carried away with the many options available. Overall verdict - really really pleased and would definitely recommend!
Only downside… I really want to decorate all the other bits of the house now to match our beautiful door.
Update: the door began sticking, the bottom no longer flush to the frame, the lock difficult to turn a key in… had to wait 3-4 weeks for someone to come out and they took the lock off, cleaned it, fixed it and it was closing smoothly again (this was the start of Jan) but now…start of Feb, it has happened again. The door doesn’t seem to want to close as though something is in the way (draught excluder perhaps?) and the lock is difficult as a result. Really disappointed that the door so far has had a monthly issue. Watch this space…

We cannot fault the london door company/ from the moment amanda came to quote to the 2 lovely men who installed the door. They were absolutely fantastic, such a polite manner and so clean and tidy and efficient.

I was fortunate to have a new front door through the London Door Company. It was a decision well made.
The door is beautiful, and extremely secure . The workmanship is superb.
The two door fitters were excellent, they went above and beyond. It was a huge job as I had to have a complete new frame. They were meticulous, no mess what so ever.

Best door on my road has completely changed the look of my house amazing colour and style . will soon be placing another order for my back door
