Exactly what happened to Sofia happened to us ! Total SCAM
Exactly what happened to Sofia happened to me ...I have raised the issue with the bank and they are looking into it ! After my daughter applied through modelselect.co.uk We ended up paying the £2500 + £50 deposit through SF ticket bookers ! When our daughter “passed” the audition / photo session they even offered her two jobs in magazines that were suppose to happen in the next two weeks ! Also they mentioned that my daughter needed training ASAP they offered her the opportunity to be in hollyoaks as an extra ! “Rae Brown” the “owner” was all hugs and kisses and so looking forward to work with us ! Our daughter was full of emotions. My fiancée wasn’t to keen on the idea at first but was also sold into it from Eric Jones who booked us , as well as Rae Brown on the day of the shoot. He couldn’t say no to our daughter that had been looking so much forward to this and He couldn’t really step In and ruin her emotions and dreams there and then and agreed to pay ! especially when the one that sent the money was my expartner/ my daughter’s dad ! So you can imagine the drama that is about to unfold due to these lot! And trust me they are unreachable! After we paid, They gave us false numbers, we went back to the place and wasn’t allowed in. The old numbers when they do pick up is incredibly unprofessional and rude and no one knows anything! Our payment went to linen investments in Buckinghamshire! By what the bank has said Linen Investment is a crypto wallet and all the money has gone into crypto currency so it’s not traceable ! I Wish you all well and please do not book with these scammers ! My 15 year old daughter is mortified and heartbroken about all this !

So I paid the deposit of £50 and was informed by Skyla that I wouldn't have to pay for photos however something didn't feel right so I googled and found this page. Their stupid online welcome pack states that your deposit goes towards the photos so you will never get your money back. Total scam and I hope Karma bites their ass.

I went to location London today and had a photo shoot, was also told before hand to pay a £50 deposit, and give £1000.00 for this package. After reading all the reviews, I just know I won’t be receiving anything from it. Even I wouldn’t get offered a job like they said.
My mum is the one who paid for the shoot and stuff, and I told her that she needs to try and get her money back. This lady said my model consultant would call me on Monday, I highly doubt it. Also that my mum would receive the £50 on Wednesday.
All we can do now is wait.
We need to work together and get this “location london”, or “equity PR”, whatever they call themselves banned!

Massive scam - Full of Con Artists
Massive scam, biggest load of s**t and total waste of time!! Avoid at all costs, I'm surprised that they are still getting away with this!
Social Media are scammers!
To anyone that has paid money to this company, please try and do a charge back through your bank. I too was talked into parting with a £1000 for my 16 year old son to do a photo shoot with Levi jeans. It took nearly 2 weeks for Laura Jones to call me which I told her how ridiculous it was as no one answer calls, no one replies. They are indeed scammers and they are getting away with it! I contacted Levis head office and got written confirmation that they knew nothing about this company or any photo shoots. I do know that these people have now moved offices so they are trading under a different name. Their main office are based outside the UK which all transactions are done in euros. They set up temporary office in London, then move on once too many people catch on to what they are doing. Please do report them to trading standards and the crime fraud prevention unit. They have no remorse in taking peoples money and filling the minds of children and people with utter rubbish to get you to part with your money. We too dealt with Lex Newman and Isaac Turner. They are scum!
I REALLY WANT TO CATCH THESE PEOPLE OFF GUARD SEEING AS POLICE ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!! Call me if you want to catch these people 07961057636
I was called by a gentleman called Andy Hughes who said my 3 year old son was chosen for the photoshoot I paid £50 deposit
We went for the photo shoot. We where greeted by security outside who let us in once he took our name down which he had written on a clip board we went in and was greeted by a slim blonde hair lady who I would say was Eastern European, a young man sitting at a desk who had tattoos all over his neck 2 guys doing make up and 2 ladies taking photos , the place was jam packed no space to sit and the music was extremely loud! My son then had his photos taken after waiting for 1 hour which was the most awkward 1 hour of my life I left with my head banging. and then we where told to wait another 1 hour for a decision to be made.
So a women called Lexi Newman called us into her office and said my son scored 14 points and he was accepted by H&M we where told to pay a deposit of £1000. Which we did they told us we would be contacted in 3 weeks time by H&M to go ahead with photo shoot with them which they will pay us £3000
They literally disappeared I went back and the sign was taken down no one was there no lights nothing !!!!

Jan 2021 - update - our credit card company actually had a response them - we have had nothing at all. They forwarded the credit card company the contract!!!! I have asked which phone number or email address worked to get a reply. They are arguing a refund 😡
We had a phone call from Isaac Turner - about a photo we'd sent out of our son - that he'd been chosen for a photo shoot. The shoot would happen in the next two week, so it was pretty urgent that he get to them for a fashion shoot in London.
We were asked to pay £50 in order for him to send a welcome pack and secure the booking. As we were out at the time - didnt do this straight away, and Isaac Turner phoned us back asking if we could do it, as he would be going into the studio soon and wanted to get our pack off to us.
We travelled to 26A Market Place, Fitzrovia - had diffuculty finding the place, and was beckoned over by the two security guards outside.
Our photos were taken by Alan - who was really friendly and talked to us about his son, who was about the same age as ours.
We were told the review would take about an hour - so go and get a coffee and come back.
When we got back - good news - our son had been accepted by River Island and congratulations he scored 14.6 out of 16. Lex Newman explained the shoot would be in the next couple of weeks.
They would put our son in their monthly magazine as a 'New Face' and we would get a copy of it the end of September. She then asked our son for a thank you card - once he'd done the job.
The packages were explained - all very quickly - and we discussed which one to go for. Lex said if we went for the £4500.00 then our son would be able to do commercials - and there was a Marvel one which he would be good for.
We had a call from Laura Jones the next day, congratulating us - stating the shoot would possibly take place the weekend of the 12th and 13th September. We then heard nothing.
Tried the numbers and emails we were given - most of the numbers were unobtainable or message boxes full.
Laura Jones then did ring back - saying she had just caught up with her emails. I explained I was worried, as I just seen some awful reviews, which she said were from disgruntled models. Assured us that the shoot with River Island would be going ahead and it was all confirmed with them. They would be having a meeting the following week, and would then be able to update us.
Since then nothing. We have reported to our credit card company, and Action Fraud Crime Ref Number NFRC200903890087. Now in a battle to get a refund from them.
How can people be this cruel. I feel like standing outside their office and stopping people going in.
On 24th August 2020
On 24th August 2020, my daughter and I went to the modelling agency in Oxford Circus for my daughter to join the agency.
After doing the photoshoot, on the day, we spoke to a woman called Sasha, and she said that my daughter had passed and had been accepted to the agency and that we should not tell the others waiting outside or even show that my daughter had gone through. She then proceeds and says for us to pay about £3000 to join them. I told Sasha that i couldn't pay that much. We went back and forth about me not being able to Pay for that. She even said, how can i not pay when i am wearing Balenciaga shoes (my sister gave them to me).
I then decided to call my husband and ask him if we can pay for our daughter as Sasha said that we would be reimbursedwithin 2-3 weeks as my daughter was going to model for River Island. I told her that i only had £1000 in the children's savings, and she said that would be fine and reassured us that we WILL get it back within 2-3 weeks.
We are now in October and i have no solid assurance from them at all.
I tried to call many times in the past and i have not had someone to speak to and have been passed around between them. (i have attached screenshots of the calls) I have also sent an email, but i have not had any response however, since the beginning of the month i have not had any response and i even left voice messages on their voicemail box.
This is definitely a scam and i did not receive, the service we paid for and are not able to communicate with them. i even just tried again, and its going to voice mail again, but they did say to me before that they are open 7 days a week
I dont know what to think but how
I don't know what to think but how could you do this to people...especially right now
Hello, I'm Shannia Julien a new starter plus-sized model...I'm not sure what to believe but I'm just shocked...It all began with a photo shoot with Studio 209, they sent my photos out to a variety of agencies and I was receiving a high volume of calls following my photoshoot with them. I couldn't afford to buy them off of Studio 209 and so I was sent away. SocialMediaModels offered me the opportunity to create a live portfolio, website and to get me paid work with their clients. This sounded like an amazing opportunity until they asked for a £50 deposit to be paid immediately through the Viva wallet. I still went for it as they told me it would be refunded when I attend the shoot. I brought my mother as my +1 because they prompted me to bring someone. My shoot with SocialMediaModels was scheduled on 4th November 2020 10:00 AM. My mother and I were there at 09:59 AM and looked at what seemed to be an abandoned business. I called the number sent to me in the email and waited outside, no answer. I tried various different numbers they called me on, no response. My mother was convincing me to return home as it was getting ridiculous. We waited 50 minutes and other models began to show up and wait with us outside. Two men emerged from what looked like a basement and began letting people in and introduced themselves as security through their uniform. They ticked me and my mother on the guest list and we followed the stairwell to the foyer. I was asked to show my ID and then got changed/prepped for my first part of the shootings. Everything was going well and I was enjoying myself. I come out of the changing room to find my mother was no longer there. She had been removed from the premises and had to wait for me across the road, despite the fact I was told to bring her along. I then went to part 2 of my shoot which was my street wear, the photographer and I were stopped on the way back in and had our temperature taken by the two men, the whole morning was rushed and I was reading at 37+ degrees so he made me cool down outside. It lowered to about 36.6 and security let me back inside. oblivious to what was happening outside i followed what the photographer had asked of me which was to change into my final outfit, I changed and exited the room to be told I must leave the premises and go home due to my initial temperature reading. I happily followed orders and went home, then realized they had not returned my deposit nor given me a time to return the following day. I called around on the numbers i was given, again no one was answering. I called on 5th November 2020 and got an answer, I was told not to come in and that someone would let me know when I can finish my shoot either Thursday or Friday. No one called all day and I was calling them to no avail. I gave them this week to respond to my calls and emails. I was made to believe this was a real shot at finally getting paid modeling jobs. This year has been rough.. especially for me as an ex frontline Student Nurse, I left university to pursue my dreams of becoming a plus size fashion model to which they told me i had the means to. I have taken this year to pursue a career that isn't as dangerous and life-threatening during this time and to expand on my skills in other industries. This is a dream of mine and I was not as confident to do this as I am now, so to have this experience with SocialMediaModels is disheartening. I could not believe my eyes when I read such awful reviews.. did not think I would be personally writing one. In disbelief, i chose to read their positive reviews to see their response... I am not a business or an owner of any kind. I am Shannia Julien, a 20-year-old starter model who has had her trust and dreams shattered by these false promises. I just wish I read Trustpilot sooner so I would not feel like a fool. I trusted SocialMediaModels, now I don't know what to believe besides that they now have my money and their name has changed and numbers no longer exist. I have since filed a police report and I urge people going through the same or similar experience to report fraud and call Action Fraud as I did on 0300 123 2040. The MET police gave me this number and advised me to follow up. At least it is just £50 but that means a lot to families during this difficult time and economic standstill, my money has not been returned and the numbers are just voice mails and ones that don't exist. I am absolutely repulsed and ashamed that this has happened to me. I have left dozens of calls and emails to no avail... I'm stunned. (They are SocialMediaModels changed name)
This company is a scammer
This company is a scammer and it keeps changing its name. It is been under SocialMediaModels to rip off people. They promise jobs to people and get money from them but in reality they never offer any job!
Absolute scam!!
Absolute scam!!
Arrived today for my sons 1pm appointment to the place closed. Now trading in the name of 'Equity PR' like others paid the 'refundable £50 deposit' which was to secure his appointment slot. We arrived at 12.05pm, no answer on the door bells, nor phone numbers that had previously called us. The number on the confirmation email was not recognised. We waited until 1.45pm to then leave. Absolutely disgusting way to treat people. My 15 year old son was massively let down today. They certainly sell it well. Despite spending out on the train fare and deposit it looks like we've have a lucky escape compared to some. We are fighting for our money back, just like everyone else who's been wrongly sucked in. Be aware!!!
