I got a really competitive quote from LV via compare the market. About £110 (25%) less than my renewal quote with Aviva. For exactly the same cover. Setting up was seamless and quick.

I would give zero star if I can, it’s not about the customer service of the insurance , but the garage.
My car has been sitting in the garage for over three months since early February. They said there is a part shortages in the beginning, and then after the parts has been delivered, they said some parts need to be order again and again while the car was being repaired , excuses after excuses, updates after updates. Please avoid at all costs! BTW the car is still in the garage, the name is Gemini Accident Repair Centre Redditch !!
Avoid at all costs

Good morning ive just got off the phone to lv ins to upgrade my cover i am dumbfounded to hear that lv does not consider a ghost2 immobiliser and a scorpion track s5 fitted to be of any benefit to the company in the event of theft and recovery..considering a highish performance bmw 335 would possibly be a high target??? Yet a dash cam is ??? Please enlighten me ...

In general, the repair / claim process was fairly straightforward. As the vehicle concerned was on a multi user policy, having the option to nominate which of the named drivers was lead contact for the incident should be provided as every test / email was directed at the policy holder. The repair garage wasn't advised of this, making coordination of collection / delivery times more complex.

Very competitive quote, not the cheapest, but had what budget companies say are extras as standard.
Well known company, checked reviews, very positive. No problem so far. Hope i never have to make a claim, not because they are bad , but because I don't want to be burgled. Very drunk writing this review, hope it comes across as this is a good company

After being insured by LV for many, many years our recent car claim has left us a bit concerned about a significant drop in customer service.
After making our claim we were left to sort the rest of the claim out ourselves and we could only communicate with the repairer. Once your claim has been submitted you can't get in touch about your claim by phone with LV, your are faced with a recorded message telling you to contact your repairer. The problem is LV, we are paying you to sort claims out.
The repairer (Steer) weren't great at communication and a budget version compared to the previous local repairer LV used.

My insurance became due whilst I was abroad with an 8 hour time difference. I have been with LV some years but this auto renewal quote was, I though high so onto a comparison website and lo and behold there was a quote covering all of my needs from the same LV but considerably cheaper.
I went with the quote but then needed to cancel my auto renew. This proved impossible firstly accessing the log on website then actually logging on. I was repeatedly not recognised then failure to reset password.
I eventually resorted to the complaint process and outlined the problem. It was to the credit of this person that the issue was dealt with, auto renew cancelled and the new policy instated.
The thing I fail to understand is that with an eminently suitable alternative and cheaper option why increase my original policy unless of course hoping I just renew and don’t notice.
My feelings towards the company would have been greatly enhanced if I had not needed to waste so much time and frustration had they offered options at the renewal.

Ordered Insurance on line. Price was competitive and cover sems good. All very simple to follow. Time will tell about service in future but experience was to date good

It was a straightforward switch. Mainly because USwitch made it so.
I can't comment on LVE as l have only just switched to them from Darwin.
What l liked about Darwin was their monthly newsletter, what l didn't like was their offer once my insurance was due, a hike of approximately £150 for the same policy with no claims in the year l was with them.
For a review of LVE, ask me again in 11 months time.
