Service is good and reliable, at least in London. However my data ran out far faster than expected. My phone's data usage and what they said I used was an entire 5GB difference...not a cheap difference as I had to purchase an add on when my data stopped working unexpectedly. I expect some discrepancies but this is not a small amount. Be warned

I had a 24 month sim contract with Lyca mobile. For the first 12 months I had relatively few issues but the last 7 months I have had multiple issues each month. The latest was the final straw for my use of lycamobile.
My contract was due to run out in October 2026, however midway through July whilst out of the house my phone completely ceased working- no data, calls, texts working. I use my phone for work and work in childcare which left me in some quite precarious and dangerous situations. Once I managed to get to a shop with WiFi I checked my account on the website and app and it had said my contract had finished. There was no minutes, data or text allowance displaying and said contract ceased. I had no warning of this but needed a phone for work so tried to search for an immediate contract with eSIM so I could get a working phone. I needed to keep my existing phone number for work so requested a PAC for the new contract with Vodafone. The next day 24hrs after the outage started my lycamobile sim started working again. I called customer service who informed me that as I had requested a PAC number this will have triggered Lyca to cancel my contract early and I would be liable for an early termination charge. I have tried to contact Lyca on multiple occasions about this as I believe that I should not be liable to this charge as the early termination was due to a Lyca error which left me without any service for 24hr. I have been told I should have called the technical department but pointed out I had no working calls, texts and data so had no way of doing this. Following trying to resolve this with Lyca on both phone and email with customer service I continued to get notifications of outstanding payment that went as far as telling me they would be notifying a credit reference agency if it was not paid- there was clearly no link between these notifications and the open customer service query I had as I tried to point out I was trying to resolve this and was awaiting a response from their team to my latest email. I subsequently called customer service again who said my only option was to pay and this payment could not be voided as I had cancelled the contract. It was like talking to a brick wall trying to point out this was the case due to a Lyca error, I never once asked for the contract to be cancelled- it was only as a requested PAC number causes an immediate termination that this occurred which I was unaware of until I spoke to Lyca after this had happened. The Lyca error shouldn’t have happened in the first place- 24hr full service down time is unacceptable as a paying customer and to then be asked to foot a bill for early termination caused by their system outage seems completely ridiculous.
Other problems I have had have included data outages, no warnings of data running out, add on data packages not working immediately and having a 24-48hr delay on, poor/no signal in areas they claim to be covered to a good level, to name a few.
Every member of my family will no longer use this company as problems with contracts have not been isolated to just my phone contract. The customer service email team take about a week to reply to each response with a better service by the phone team but even then they couldn’t provide me with anything but a standard response.
I would not recommend this company to anyone and will continue to try resolve my issue regarding final payment in order to get a refund having had to pay the fee to avoid any referral to credit reference agency and debt collectors.

Complicated misleading UX. I purchased a physical SIM on the buy e-sim page because of an easy to miss radio button. E-sim transfer to new phone is very complicated. I am disappointed.
