We were very impressed with the knowledge of the staff at Manchester Fireplaces.
We went to buy a replacement inset " living fire" for our Victorian fireplace.We took in our old fire, which was recognised as a Real Fire", and were offered two replacements. Measurements were taken and the appropriate fire chosen.
We asked about getting a reliable gas fitter and were advised to check the Gas Safe Register, which we did.

This is the second time I have bought from Manchester fireplaces. The first time I bought a gas stove and more recently a Victorian fireplace surround. I had been looking for a while and they had just what I wanted. They gave very helpful advice and excellent customer service. I would, and have, recommended this company.

Manchester fireplaces started off with excellent service and communication, when I first placed the order. After 2 weeks ( which was the date for delivery) I was told they couldn't supply the Hearth I required. Being in the fireplace trade for many years I was disappointed with the time wasted after many conformations of the order. However, I feel this may be a one off but would be reluctant to use them again.

I found a fire surround on the Manchester fireplaces website that I was interested in. The team responded quickly to my enquiry and helped select a suitable insert. They provided photos of the items together, offered advice and designed and supplied a custom hearth to fit. The items were delivered promptly by a driver who was happy to help carry the items into the house.

Much better quality than expected. A real solid product. The basket has been tried and tested by us and I can confirm that the basket does the job perfectly with the solid fuels we use. Prompt delivery and packaged securely and neatly.

Very helpful, unpretentious and good value. Unlike other shops we visited, happy to supply a hearth when we had bought our wood burner elsewhere.

Fires fitted on time and really pleased with the service. However the surrounds were badly made. We had bought two waxed oak Lincoln surrounds. The first had a watermark on the surface Both had poorly fitted pieces of wood under the top. They swapped the surround to get rid of the watermark but both new surround were poorly built. Told that is how they are there was no redress. The fitters were great but the quality of the product is not what I expected.

I needed just a hearth at very short notice on Good Friday as the gas fire I had bought could not be wall mounted as anticipated. The guys at Manchester fireplaces were so helpful. Looked up what I'd bought, went hunting in the stockroom for something suitable. Bingo, I was on my way within half an hour with a reasonably priced granite hearth. New fire fitted that weekend and I couldn't be happier with the service from them.
