My claim was approved and they still won't send my my benefits. They said it's not their problem. I have no food, prescription medication (I am very sick without this)or basic necessities of life and they don't care. I tried calling to the call centre after being patronized by my case worker and she was more rude than the case worker. Don't expect to actually heal in anyway while on leave with Manulife because you'll be stressing about how you're going to pay rent and eat. When you try to explain your situation they'll just cut you off to tell you how little they care. Expect headaches, to not be helped and be treated like human trash by this company.

Ordered a pair of prescription eye…
Ordered a pair of prescription eye glasses online 4 weeks ago and still have yet to reimbursed - very slow, poor customer service.
Update: They finally sent me a cheque in the mail (7 weeks after I purchased the glasses) direct deposit info was saved into my personal account prior to ordering, so this don’t make any sense - be prepared for long wait times to be reimbursed even if you have your direct deposit info saved in account!
Extremely bad service
No straightforward way to contact customer service through the Manulife mobile application. Yesterday, I waited on hold for more than 50 minutes in an attempt to reach a representative. This level of delay is disappointing and does not align with reasonable expectations for a company managing employee benefits and financial services.
Since my employer recently transitioned our benefits provider from Sun Life to Manulife, the overall service experience has noticeably disappointed.

Very poor services. Anything over $100 you will receive denials for the slightest reason. They don’t explain why, you have to call them up several times for an answer. When you do call them, there are so many prompts it’s discouraging. I would never recommend as a health provider
9 months and still no refund
Have been waiting for 9 months for a dental refund. By error they sent the payment to the dentist and not to us, the patient. We, and HR have spoken to many Manulife agents who each time, have assured us the problem was solved and payment would follow...all lies, so at this point it's in the Head office's hands.

Garbage company run by garbage people
Demanding supporting documents with ever claim. They have covered this long term condition for over a year and several claims but demand the prescription one every claim or it will be denied. Not like the prescription is already on my file several times or anything! Phone support is slow and useless the departments dont talk and the claims department wont talk to you on the phone at all but are more than happy to deny a claim because you didnt highlight and super size the font on a specific document, so they didn't see it. Every other provider I've ever had has worked with me to ensure they have all necessary information before outright denying coverage. Worse experience ever, government should pull their license to operate.

If I could Id give zero stars. Absolutely shameful. This probably a billion dollar company, if not high high million dollar company and the website works about 10% of the time. Always calculating my savings then giving me error messages. Oops!! Something went wrong is basically 99% of the wording on this webpage. God forbid you click something and it don't get logged out. Absolute disgrace. We sent a man to the moon in the late 60' but I can't check my balance or make a withdrawal without spending hours wrestling with non stop issues! SHAME!!!!!

Worst bank ever Manulife Wealth…
In 5 decades of banking Manulife Wealth Inc provided the single worst service I have ever encountered. A simple withdrawal transaction took more than four week and not a single advisor or customer service representative was interested in helping to ensure the transaction happened before year end. I was routinely left on hold for an hour at times. And this was year end which has caused me tax implications.
They are really bad at their job

My health and dental plan uses Manulife for submitting claims and the whole process has been the worst experience with an insurance provider. The online submission process only works sometimes, or not at all. My wife and I have wasted an enormous amount of time submitting claims. We feel frustrated with how inefficient and unreliable this company has been to our family. I encourage all employers and employees to hold this company accountable to their services or find another provider.
Nightmare to deal with
What an absolute nightmare of a soulless corporation to deal with. You now have to call and beg to get reimbursed through your benefits that you literally pay into. Since October I’ve called every month for them to reimburse my claims. Escalated to a customer service complaint and I still haven’t received my claim for December and will have to take time out of my day, and beg them to give me my money back. Are you hoping ppl will just give up if you make the process as painful and time consuming?

My Manulife travel medical claim was denied for alleged “non-disclosure,” even though I clearly declared my Metformin use (for insulin resistance, not diabetes). During my appeal, I also explained that my colonoscopy was a routine age-based screening, not “bowel surgery.” None of this was meaningfully addressed.
Most concerning, Manulife never explained how any of this related to my actual ER visit, which was completely unrelated. The appeal response simply repeated the denial without addressing my questions.
The process felt dismissive and tilted toward denial rather than fair review. I would urge anyone considering Manulife travel insurance to be extremely cautious.
This the worst whats happened to Manulife?was an unbelievable morning
This was an unbelievable morning. Three hours on hold and i spoke to three CSR's who were useless and unloaded me to another individual, with an average wait time of 45 minutes to an hour.
What was my issue? I was trying to cancel a policy that I am being charged $70 a month for. No wonder they have a low lapse rate? You can't talk to anyone that has the authority to cancel a policy or the knowledge to transfer you to someone that can.
By the way this issue is still not resolved!!! The last CSR said she would speak to a manager. I had to remind her to take down my policy number and phone number.
We will Roy Gori should take and hour of his precious time to call the customer service line to witness this debockle.
By the way, I retired from Manulife 10 years ago and I am ashamed of what this company has become
