McTears staff always very helpful. I do my bids via internet at moment and go in to collect item. All professionally done.

Under no circumstances should anyone consider this company. I have had two lots that didn’t sell and despite saying I would collect them they have given them away. This is despite saying they won’t. Terrible service and just don’t care.

I felt the items were poorly grouped and grouped in haste. I visited the showing on the day previous to the auction and discovered that one of my items had actually been added to another sellers items. It was rectified but with poor grace and no apology. Won't use Mctears again.

Over the years, I have always found the staff at McTear's to be most pleasant, and helpful in an almost family fashion. Recently because of various factors, I have not been active in pursuing the auctions, but I am always paying attention to the items which interest me.I also feel comfortable within the building as a whole, including the cafe, where one can take part in friendly conversations with staff and patrons. McTear's made a great job of selling some items of jewellery and family memorabilia for me.
I would otherwise have had no idea what to do with these things ,so I am very grateful .

I was a bit taken aback when I recieved an e mail saying that I was not to put forward any of my glass engravings as there was no interest .
Also they were not labelled correctly in the catalogue despite me sending a confirmation e mail with with titles , visuals , techniques used .
When I came to pick the work up there was no bubble wrap available to protect the glass which I found totally ridiculous , as an auction house you should have this available or at least advised me if this so I could have brought some from home .
I was really annoyed about this .
Putting the work into the car one of the staff having their break outside was v complimentary about my work and said she was surprised it had not sold . It was a genuine response and lifted my spirits .

Very professional and knowledgeable. Always given good advice and an accurate valuation.

During Covid they have been great because we cannot travel out of our area due to being England Tier 3 and they have kindly kept our Lots from 2 recent auctions until we can make the trip to one of our favourite cities. Thank you and hopefully see you next month.

Staff are very experienced, professional staff. The process of selling was very efficient.

Used yourselves for the first time in Nov 2020, good experience, no hassle , friendly staff.
Could be a little more forth coming regarding the costing structure, when placing items for auction, no doubt it will be in the web site somewhere, but a heads up would have been appreciated as it was our first time.

First time seller. All the staff very helpful.
Kept me informed throughout transaction, forwarded proceeds very quickly.
