I'm glad I switched to Midpoint: signing up to their service was quick and easy and with the assistance of their helpful staff, it only took a few minutes - and I've already saved several £100s on my first two trades alone.

I wish I'd known about them sooner, they give much better exchange rates than my bank.

I have just completed a second cash transfer from the US to the UK and I'm very happy with the service and the process. The first transfer had some teething problems with getting exactly the right information for the $-to-$ wire transfer that my US institution had to make, but the staff at Midpoint were very supportive and in fact at one point reached out to me by calling my cell phone before I had to ask for help. So great marks for service.

I also appreciate the emails that are generated promptly during the process to track where things are.

Long-winded process to set up an account in the first place.
Then, no guaranteed exchange rate. You get an indication, but if the rate moves while your transfer is in progress - tough.
Finally, the transfer took a full three working days and was only completed once I chased it.
Bottom line: not good enough, sorry.
For the future, I'll be back to TransferWise. Almost identical exchange rate and fees, but the rate is guaranteed and the money regularly arrives the next working day.

Edit 16/2/18: Midpoint have since gone out of their way to address some of the above issues. I would like to make it clear that in my specific case, I placed a limit order by means of separate communication bypassing their website system. Thus, I had the guarantee of receiving a minimum rate. My remarks re. no guaranteed exchange rate were a general observation in comparison to other providers where you simply press the button when you feel the rate is right.

Easily the best customer service and efficiency of any business I deal with. Great personnel and a very easy-to-use website. Every order, big or small, is handled quickly and accurately. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending MIDPOINT to everyone.

(P.S.—My bank hates Midpoint because they cannot do what Midpoint does at anywhere near the same cost.)

I have only used service once and it has proven to be very good. I normally use either Currency Direct or Moneycorp on each month but found despite the £10 upfront charge I still got a better deal using Midpoint. The one time setup was a bit onerous requiring a scan of my passport and a utility bill to be sent. I didn't have a utility bill and my Vodafone bill was not accepted so another solution had to be found. Very good communication through email during the setup process and during the handling of the transaction. Would I use them again? Certainly.

Everything worked perfectly.

It is fair to say that I did not find Midpoint's system entirely self-explanatory, perhaps as a consequence of variations in terminology between their categories and the beneficiary's bank details. Nonetheless, Hertz Zhang's peerless assistance enabled me to complete the transfer. Zhang contacted me as each phase of the process was concluded. His level of attention to what was a modest exchange can only be described as exemplary. The rate was very competitive, and the funds were received promptly.

Great easy way to transfer money internationally with better fares than banks.

Deadline to transfer your money is 48 hours from the notification that the order matched but the deadline that we receive by e-mail is much shorter.

We have known and used Midpoint for several years and we have always been extremely satisfied with their service. In case we have had problems and questions they have always been there to assist. And we have experiences that their services have only improved over time. We can only warm recommend them and they are an excellent alternatives to using banks.

Transferring USD to GBP from a US account to GBP account. Quickly received a matching quote. Midpoint email you every step of the way with clear instructions. Fees are fair. Transparent & efficient I will use them again.

First time using the new website. Found it confusing especially the wording about allocating beneficiaries. Had a webchat with an advisor, was assured everything had been properly completed. Next day received an e-mail to say funds could not be sent as no beneficiary had been allocated.

After a telephone conversation I completed the fields successfully and the funds were then sent (to the one and only beneficiary already nominated by me).

A frustrating and time-consuming experience and a delay of 4 calendar days before the funds were despatched.

I am using Midpoint for every wire from Canada to Germany since 2 years now. Always perfect. Saved me a lot of comissions.
