Quoted about 340 I think it was for full service and a repair. Half HR after dropping car off got a call saying 740 as "first time it's been serviced by us... Just checked online and x y z needed to be sure it's all in place" words like that yep. Given option of "tell me what you want to spend" but went with it all to be sure as the car has been neglected.
Car running a lot nicer than it was but I won't go back.
Have been going there on and off for things (not services) for years when Wes worked there. Won't be back again.

Hi Steve,
We're sorry to see this and I have reviewed the calls etc so I could understand a little more. I can understand that the total was more than the initial price, bit the additional cost was for work required on the MOT test and work that was agreed to before it was completed. The additional items are age and mileage related brake fluid change and coolant change etc, which we advised were due. One issue is that without the history of what's been done it's better to advise it as breakdowns are extremely costly and best avoided.
The 'Tell be how much you want to spend' comment was in case you had a budget that you needed to stick to. Some customers prioritise the most safety critical items and have other items done later.
At least you now have a vehicle that is up to date, so your next service will be a standard charge.
I hope that you will consider using our service again as we do an excellent job and appreciate all of our customers.

Many thanks to all at Mr Tyre for replacing my two front coil springs which l supplied. Although l was thought it would take 2hours to replace them it took just over 3hours, I waited in their seating area ,and watched Henry Coole, classic cars programme on their TV. Considering the time l thought the price l payed to be very fair and will recommend Mr Tyre to others in the future,
