The thing that separates NASA from most other umbrella companies is the quality of their people.
Jamie Springwald and his team are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Any queries you may have are answered quickly and accurately.
They understand that good service is paramount, and they deliver this to the highest standard.
I have worked with several umbrella companies in the past and NASA is the the ONLY one I would ever recommend.

Reliable and dependable payroll service

Of all the umbrella companies I've had to use Nasa was definitely the best one. They are the polar opposite to my previous one (Giant). Nasa's onboarding was smooth and ongoing support was great. Payslips were easy to read and, as far as I could tell, my take-home pay was calculated accurately (unlike my previous one who underpaid me and where I had to claim a rebate through self-assessment rather than the money being in my own account earning interest at 6%...).

But the best thing about Nasa was the pension contribution arrangement through salary sacrifice, a really efficient way of saving tax as opposed to making contributions through net earnings - I hope I can return to Nasa on a future contract.

The people who work at NASA are efficient, helpful and friendly.

Great company to use as an Umbrella. Very good customer service, simple but efficient procedures, fast to respond to querries and overall I had no issues with them for almost the last 2 years.

Went with NASA because they do salary sacrifice. They were very efficient and their scheme is flexible, unlike other agencies; I chose to make maximum contributions and this was done automatically, I didn't need to specify a monthly amount.

Be aware that they are very strict on expenses. Make sure you always get a detailed receipt and if claiming mileage get a petrol receipt. And don't pay for anyone else's meals even if they are colleagues as Nasa may treat this as taxable pay.

One suggestion if paystatememt design comes up for review would be to give a (April to April) weekly running total of SIPP deductions.

NASA took over as my umbrella company after a disastrous experience and they have been nothing short of outstanding. Every query I'd had, they were helpful, knowledgeable and dealt with matters promptly and efficiently. I'm no longer a contractor so have left NASA. However, should I return to the contracting world, then I'll happily use NASA again in the future.
