As usual, it’s too little, too late. Despite contacting your company several times, nothing was done to resolve the problem until this review was posted.
Let me reiterate: poor customer care, questionable practices, and no resolution to my issue. Your response here feels like lip service rather than a genuine effort to address the problem.
To anyone considering National Tyres Greenock—steer clear, especially if you’re tempted by the so-called “free MOT” offer advertised as part of Halfords’ Annual Premium Motor Club. It’s misleading, and you’ll quickly find there’s no such thing as a free lunch!

After ordering my tyres x 2 online as advised by National tyres Greenock due to the 10% discount of which all good that's where all went wrong!
I Ordered my tyres and paid for x 2 front tyres of which £450 (Not Cheap) but then I had to book my day and time slot for fitting of which £3.50 advising me to be there 10 minutes early.
12 pm I booked for and was there for 11.50 am.
I was still waiting until 2.15pm of which then tyres were finally done.
Upon handing keys over at Start I explained that I had Land Rover Manufactured dust caps of which approved and don't corrode onto valve, this was met by the fact that National tyres will not put these back onto valves of new replaced tyres due to policy and their Regs.
This was of no issue and i was told they would be put back in my car along with wheel nut master key.
Please National tyres could you Answer these questions?
1. Why have an online chargeable booking system if Not adhered to, due to anyone and everyone turning up on spec?
2. Why put in other spur of the moment turn ups of which proceed my 12 o'clock booked appointment?
3. For what Exact Reason did you keep me waiting when the nature of spur of the moment tyre fitting superseded me?
4. Why upon my initial Request after waiting nearly 2.30 hrs did I leave the forecourt to stop and check/realise my Manufactured dust caps of which cost £45 from Land Rover were Not put back in my car with Master nut key?
5. Why did I have to drive back to National tyres Greenock to retrieve them and have to wait Another 15 minutes because they had been thrown away on the shop floor of which eventually found?
6. Why has this whole experience took the Best part of nearly 3 hours for the simple exchange/fitting of two new like for like tyres?
If you could get back to me on this I would be Very interested in the Reasons for why of which Genuine to my delays?
Also a Receipt for works done would of been Appreciated?
A lot of Money for just as much agro !

I Already put my booking Order number in at the start of my trust pilot review along with Branch information? It is set out that way so as personal details are Not on a Review for all to see?
This is not a previous case as only put on trust pilot yesterday of which the day of tyre fitting issue.

Interesting to find out that your Customer Services email address is NO Longer Monitored so therefore the system is set up so as you cannot be contacted so as all information required cannot be provided?
I won't be supplying details Already provided due to Data Protection and identity fraud, you shouldn't be asking customers to provide all Reference/order numbers on a live platform for all to see. There should be no need for editing if information as stated was provided at Start of trustpilot review.
How actually are you contactable?
Please don't say it's Chat bot!
Either way I won't be using National tyres or Halfords Again absolutely Shocking!
Further Reply;
Please could you tell me for why none of your customer Services contact emails work?
Neither National tyres nor Halfords advised contacts work, bouncing back all forms of contact as not monitored?
Obviously to cut down on all the High traffic of complaints?
Details advised by both National tyres and Halfords for Customer Services contact are wrong and should Not be within your terms of contact.
I presume writing to you the old fashion way via hard copy will also be of a pointless exercise also?
A proper professional company should have an infrastructure to allow customers to complain of which as far as I can see you have cleverly stripped all of this away!

I recently had my Vauxhall Astra serviced at Halfords Autocentre in Greenock (200 Dalrymple Street) and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Here are the key points from my visits:
Service Inconsistencies: I paid for a full service including the replacement of both brake discs and pads, but only the discs were replaced. This was disappointing as I was charged for both.
Missed MOT: Despite scheduling an MOT for the same visit, it was forgotten and I had to return the next day to get it done.
Incomplete Checks: Several standard checks and tasks were either not performed or not documented, such as the air conditioning system, cabin filter, tire condition and tread depth, wheel balance, and screen wash.
Unperformed Services: The brake fluid replacement, which I specifically requested, was not done and was not included in the bill. The engine flush, which was offered by the garage, was also not performed. Additionally, after the service, the engine oil was totally black and did not appear to be new. I did not receive the standard vehicle health report either.
Unnecessary Repairs: During a follow-up visit, the front right brake caliper was replaced at a significant cost. I believe this could have been avoided if the initial service was thorough.
Tire Damage and Replacement: One of my front tires developed a puncture while in their care. They initially offered a cheap replacement at my own cost, but when I challenged this (pointing out that the wheel had been inspected twice that morning and the car has TPMS built in), they very quickly replaced the tire free of charge.
Vehicle Handling and Cleanliness: My vehicle was returned with greasy marks and a strong smell of garage grease inside, indicating poor handling.
Inconvenience: Due to the need for repeat visits, I had to cancel a planned holiday, causing significant inconvenience.
There is an ongoing complaint with Halfords and the car is still in their care for remedial works. I will update my review when the car is eventually handed back.
I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. I also hope that Halfords Autocentre can address these issues and improve their service quality.

Normally 5 stars from me as the workshop guys at Greenock are great. This time let down by the tyres I ordered the week before not delivered for fitting on my appointment date. Heard similar rumblings when I was in with my other car a few weeks before. Has the Halfords take over caused supply issues maybe!

National Tyres Greenock Inverclyde
Been harrased with emails to leave a review for these jokers. Bought two new tyres everything was fine. The week later I booked an appointment for front wheel alignment and entered a voucher number bringing the price down to £19.99. They next day we took the afternoon off work and took the car into the Greenock shop and were told they were running behind a little. No problem. They took the keys and said someone would phone. A couple of hours went past and we received a one ringer phone call from their shops number. When I called back they stated they were unable to do the job as the strut bolts were siezed closed and required the acetylene torch to loosen them. They went on to explain they wouldn't have any gas for the torch until next week. So they were unable to do the job. We took our car around the corner to Dellinburn tyres who immediately put the car on the ramp. Setup the lasers and got the big spanner into the strut bolts. Within five minutes these boys had done the job (tracking/wheel alignment) and that was including the time the mechanic took to take the car a test drive.. National tyres totally wasted our time simply because they could not be bothered. I'm guessing they had more expensive jobs to do that day and were only getting 20 quid for our job so fobbed us off with a measily excuse.
EDIT Further to your response below We do not wish to be contacted. After our experience the other day we would rather have no further contact with your company.

There were no issues. The car was booked in the the Greenock branch of national tyres. I dropped of the car the night before and they put it inside for safe keeping. Service and MOT completed on time. A few points to note for the future but no hard sell.
