Elischa is a knowledgeable, transparent, friendly advisor who made me feel 100% comfortable in the process and confident in the information he was providing. I had never heard of Nesto and had done some preliminary research to try to get a feel for the company, but after my conversation with him, I feel 100% confident that Nesto is an excellent solution. He addressed every question, and I could tell he was being 100% honest. Through the conversation, I could tell that he had some significant experience and in our chat I learned that he had 16 years in the industry. Congratulations to you, Nesto for hiring experienced individuals to answer customers calls, as this is not necessarily been the case with the big banks. I work with 170 people, many of which are young people who are just getting their first homes and have many questions to us older colleagues. I recently renewed my mortgage with Nesto and my mortgage broker was Jonathan Lesperance. My mortgage Specialits was Alexander Rojas. I had an attractive rate. Jonathan provided excellent advices, gave me a lot of informations to make sure that I unterstand everything well. I opted for a fix rate of 5 years. Jonathan was patient, he followed me in the process and was really respecful of my needs. All consultations have been followed by email and phone. We recently renewed our mortgage with Nesto and our mortgage broker was Karun Khanna. Right from the time that my husband started investigating switching mortgage companies and finding an attractive rate, Karun provided excellent advice and a rate that was really fair to consumers and suited our needs. We opted for a variable with a six month discount. Karun has followed up immediately with any of our questions during the process and is quick to consult the rest of the Nesto team if necessary. All consultations have been followed up in writing. He really took the time and care to walk us through the whole process. He has shown that he really cares about his clients before, during and after the mortgage signing. We would recommend Karun to any of our family and friends looking for a professional and fair mortgage experience.

STAY AWAY from NESTO!! They have horrible customer service and are deceptive in their practices.
Here's my experience. I saw them advertise lower rates through Tangerine (Nesto is their affiliated partner), contacted them, and started the process of renewing my mortgage. The main cost of a renewal are the lawyer fees and disbursements, so these costs must outweigh any savings in interest rate for the upcoming term.
The Nesto representative indicated that there would be a reimbursement of up to $1200 for these fees and that most people get the full $1200, so the implication was that I should expect the full $1200 (I had perfect credit and all the income verification for the mortgage credit was top notch).
She then guided me through the process, sending me documents to sign to complete the mortgage renewal. I kept asking her for written confirmation of the $1200 rebate, but she kept delaying the response with excuses, implying that the $1200 rebate was an automatic certainty. Meanwhile I was incurring disbursement costs (home appraisal, $340, etc) and lawyer fees.
Towards the end of the process, she informed me that I would only be receiving a $500 rebate, not a $1200 rebate!! There was no reason given, other than the decision that was returned from the "rebate approval department" (they have some fancy name for this department, but it escapes me now).
This threw a wrench into my calculation on whether it was worth it to switch companies to renew my mortgage. It wasn't worth it, so I cancelled the application with Nesto and renewed with TD (my original mortgage lender). The Nesto mortgage broker caused me to waste almost $600 in lawyer fees and disbursements!! (I owed these even though I abandoned the application, because more than half the process had been completed)
Bottom line: THE NESTO BROKER DECEIVES PEOPLE INTO THINKING THEY WILL GET A REBATE THAT WILL OFFSET MOST OF THE LEGAL COSTS OF SWITCHING YOUR MORTGAGE!! THIS DECEPTIVE PRACTICE IS BOTH UNPROFESSIONAL AND MORALLY WRONG!! STAY AWAY FROM NESTO!!

Both Elischa Salazar and Alexander Rojas were excellent to deal with. Both were very knowledgeable and very quick to respond to enquiries and change requests.

Seamless process from start to finish. I was concerned it might be complicated and a headache to switch and not worth the hassle. I continued to wait for an issue or a problem but nothing. When I say seamless I mean nonissue from start to finish. They checked in after applications, after approval and maintained communication through the entire process. Hands down. My experience with Nesto was nothing but seamless, from an easy online application in the evening to a phone call the very next day from an extremely well-versed professional named Elischa.
I have had some bad experiences with pushy brokers who don't communicate well and seem to only care about one thing: closing the deal with their chosen lender.
Elischa took the time to explain all of the options available and gave excellent advice on the best product for my family's needs. No question was too much, and it was evident that the decision was ultimately mine to make.
I felt well-informed and comfortable. Overall, it was a refreshing experience and how making one of the most significant decisions in your lifetime should be.
