I did extensive due diligence for LLC formation and narrowed it down to two companies for different reasons. What I thought would be the better choice (Legal Zoom) lost its luster very quickly as they... See more

I used this service for number of years without issue. However in 2025 they pulled a stunt that would require accounts to "opt out" to avoid being charged for a service that the custormer never signed up for in the first place.
I received an email that said "We are going to file your annual report for you!" (even though I never asked for or consented to this program). "Unless you tell us otherwise, we will charge your account $170...for your convenience!"
No. This is fraud. There is no other scenario where this is okay. Your car dealer can't change your tires and then charge you for it when you never asked them to. Your preferred airline can't automatically book flights for you and charge your credit card when you never asked for those plane tickets. A roofing company can't drive down the street and arbitrarily decide that it's time for a new roof, do the work, and then charge you for it when you never asked them to. All of those scenarios represent illegal business practices...just like the stunt that Northwest Registred Agent tried to pull.
I canceled my service to a new provider, Washington Registered Agent, who unfortunately pulled the same stunt. I will be referring them to the Washington State Attorney General for a fraud investigation, and challenging the charges with my credit cart provider.

Unfortunately, I have been holding myself back from writing this review for a full month, but I have no choice now. I opened my company with Northwest in January, and everything was fine for the first week. However, I soon realized that I couldn't log into my account. I tried every possible alternative, and it was very obvious that there was an issue with my account.
Every time I submitted a support request, it took 4-5 days for them to respond, and instead of actually fixing the issue, they kept repeating the same ridiculous suggestion: "clear your cookies."
I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT FOR 2 MONTHS. While waiting for them to respond to my emails, we have been losing money for 2 months because we can't receive payments. Every week, I receive another generic response telling me to "clear my cookies again," and at this point, I feel like my patience is being tested.
This has been a horrible experience, and none of it is due to my own mistakes. If you are truly the company you claim to be, fix this situation.

Having a hard time getting someone to answer a couple of simple questions via email. Some other reviews also seem to indicate the same issue. The whole point is to get them to email you the specifics and not tell you verbally over the phone. If they're delaying before earning my business, I wonder what they'll do after getting paid. Three stars may be a bit generous...Let's examine their response:
"We love answering questions (even before someone signs up)" -- Incorrect, if you answered questions before someone actually signed up, you wouldn't be seeing this review!
"But without your name or an account with us, we can’t confirm what’s been asked" -- You have an email and your people are qualified to read and address email inquiries? - JC

Northwest Registered Agent is a complete scam! I paid for their service expecting to get my EIN number, but they never delivered. Their support is terrible—slow responses, unhelpful answers, and zero accountability. On top of that, they charge way more than other services that actually do their job. I ended up switching to Bizee.com, and the experience was night and day. Bizee provided my EIN quickly, had excellent customer service, and was way more affordable. Avoid Northwest Registered Agent at all costs!

The new company was registered within 24 hours. I appreciate getting some services from them for the first year free of charge, which is very business-friendly at the start.

I had no issues having NRA file my LLC. The issue is trying to get any type of customer service.
The website builder is junk. Its wordpress without all the features. Don't look for help navigating the building process because there isn't any.
The tech support never answers the phone. Leave a message in the Voicemail and it goes in an abyss.
I had issues with email access. Called eight times before I got someone. The TS is very friendly.
Called again because I cant get into the website building part. Called and called. Finally got ahold of someone, they were helpful but couldn't do anything for me. He said they would send the problem to their engineer. Guess what ? Not a word from NRA and the problem still exists. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
After reading NRA response I have to say that they are condensing and do not care about their customers.
I'm still waiting on my website and I still can't get into web press. The CS guy that said he was going to call be back never did.
So like I said before avoid avoid avoid.

I’ve been using Northwest Registered Agent for months now, and I feel it’s time to share an honest review based on my actual experience.
From the very start, they made the entire process of establishing my LLC smooth and hassle-free. They handled everything for my company, including securing a domain, a dedicated website, a business phone number, and even a professional business address.
One of the standout features is their online account portal, which is incredibly user-friendly. Whenever I need any additional services—whether it’s filing forms, updating details, or requesting government documents—I can do it instantly through my account without having to wait or submit lengthy requests. Everything is accessible, and I can even print what I need immediately.
Their customer support is another highlight. Whenever I’ve had a question or faced an issue, I just sent them an email, and they responded quickly and efficiently. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their customers and take ownership of solving any problems that arise.
I waited a few months to write this review to ensure it reflects a real and thorough experience. I can confidently say Northwest Registered Agent has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended For anyone looking for a reliable registered agent that covers most of the needs of startup owners

Really poor experience. Was charged for 1-day Delaware filing three times. First in a $39 bundle, then separately on the same invoice as a $209 charge, and then finally, when my application was paid, they asked for another $99. Having not realised that this was their system being buggy rather than my payment not going through, I paid it.
After emailing them, I've received no response after 24 hours.
Further to this, applying for an EIN apparently requires a nearly 4 month wait, which is ridiculous. It's common knowledge that applying for an EIN without an SSN takes 6 weeks, not 16.

Good company. They quickly updated my registered agent information with the state.

I never recommend the Northwest's state registered agent service as you will need to wait 3-4 business days to get your email replied in case you get a one important mail in years. Additionally, even if you do have an active mail forwarding service, they will upload your document to your other corporate account (if you have one) so that you need to pay extra to view that document.

Absolutely a scam. Those so called free docs mislead you into creating an account.... and if you do, you won't be able to see the doc you were after. That was some other tiny link that youre npt supposed to see. Then they claim that it's impossible to delete an account. It's completely a lie. Stay away. Far far away.

Whenever I call Northwest Registered Agent, I have to leave a voicemail, and they consistently call me back after 5 p.m. local time, making it nearly impossible to connect with someone. Email communication is just as frustrating—every response comes from a different representative, so I constantly have to start over with my requests.
Currently, I’m trying to domesticate an LLC, and it’s been a nightmare. I can’t get in touch with anyone, and my emails go unanswered. The lack of streamlined, straightforward communication is incredibly disappointing. It’s gotten to the point where I’m questioning whether they even know how to handle these filings properly.
I’m seriously considering canceling their service and hiring a lawyer, which I was hoping to avoid. This service seemed like a simple, great solution, but the poor communication has made it far more stressful than it should be. For something as important as managing business matters, it’s frustrating to feel like I can’t rely on the service to resolve issues or even get in touch when needed.

TL:DR
From my personal experience, this company is a scam. They will make false promises and not refund your money after cancellation. They will add hidden unexpected fees, change renewal dates without consent. 90% of positive reviews are fake made by automated bots. Go find any company other than this one to form your LLC and not have a hard time with waste of money. They are as dishonest as it gets. They mask their annoying dishonesty with kindness.
To make things short. I will talk about every bad thing I’ve encountered with this company from start to finish.
First I sign up to form an LLC and name availability gets verified twice. Before payment and after payment. In both verifications the name is available. Two days later after payment they emailed me saying they will not form an LLC with this name and the reason is invalid. Its like saying you can’t name a company “Uoes” because a company already formed is named “Uoe”. How can this be plural if the singular and even “plural” forms don’t even have a meaning in English and it’s considered a random word! And why even confirm its availability twice in the first place if your going to reject it later??
Now let’s get this out the way, they altered the subscription fees after payment and added a hidden “renewal service fee” for ~180 USD which shouldn’t cost anything in the first place let alone be added with a fee and about 4 MONTHS EARLIER from the stated renewal annual date for the service in the receipt!
Thats not the RA Fee thats plus the annual 125 USD “Registered Agent Fee” which should should be the only renewal fee I pay for
If I didn’t check my subscriptions from the dashboard after payment this would’ve been a problem as its added randomly with no right to add and not even on the supposed annual renewal date for the service on receipt.
After this I researched the company’s reviews to see people’s experience with it
They store all your credit card info straight with them without a middle-man trusted payment gateway (like Stripe, PayPal,etc) thats sketchy.
The company that charges your bank named “Corporate Fillings LLC” are known to make unauthorized transactions to random people’s credit cards. You can google it.
The company is owned by Registered Agents LLC. I will leave this out there lol
The company owner is shady, said by WIRED.
The positive reviews are all 90% fake. They automatically add positive reviews by automated bots after a negative review is made to balance out the overall rating. Which any company can do by using a paid service. Especially in Google reviews.
The real reviews are mostly 1 to 3 star reviews.
The annoying employees I’ve dealt with are:
Paul Gans
Ken Latos
Elizabeth James
Now as for the refund. They will make sure you have a hard time receiving the money (you will most likely not receive it) especially if your a non US resident.
They said that they tried to issue a refund to the same payment method used and it got declined. Which soon after, I contacted the bank and confirmed that no refund transaction was made nor declined from this company. (First lie)
Then they insist on ONLY being able to refund through a PHYSICAL CHECK to my country. Which is not written anywhere in their terms and services (second lie) and will take a long time or might not even reach the country.
I wouldn’t even expect them to even mail it as they lied about the refund decline.
So I gave them another option to PayPal me the amount to the same email address used in registration. They refused and insisted on only sending a physical check (knowing I’m a non US resident) thats thug behavior.
I gave them another option and chance to do a Bank Transfer and provided them with details. They didn’t reply nor refund.
NO WHERE in their terms and services they state that refunds can only be made through these two types of payment methods.
And to clarify, the amount isn’t even that big it’s 143.00 USD but imagine people that pay way more than that or don’t have enough money. NWRA will screw them up. Im willing to lose this amount and warn others from losing hundreds of dollars by this scam company.
Even if they reply to this review with their typical “We’re sad to hear this…” Most likely it will be false promises like the list of emails they sent with no actual solution.
Not too long until you go bankrupt. Enjoy that 143.00 USD lol

If I could give a 0 star I ABSOLUTELY WOULD!!!! This company may be "Nice" and "giving" on the phones, but they are. Nothing like they pretend to be! From day 1 of formation this company has missed every mark including filling out legal forms in a complete manner. Fake names on business filings, with no way to speak with the actual.person who's signature is on the.formation paperwork. Weeks on end trying to get refunds, while no one answers the phones..... Once again SUPER FRIENDLY, to hide the fact they a scam company tied to registered agent inc.... that's another scam company tied to the same offices as this company. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!

Today, I faced the daunting task of completing the Beneficial Ownership Interest form mandated by FinCen—a process I had been dreading given my ownership of several companies. Michele Parker transformed this cumbersome obligation into an effortless experience. Her expertise, attentiveness, and warm professionalism were remarkable. She is undoubtedly an invaluable asset to Northwest Registered Agent, and I commend the foresight in hiring such talent. Not only did Michele assist my son with his forms, but she will also be helping my daughter and parents. So impressed by her exceptional service, I recommended her to a business associate that very evening. Moving forward, I will rely on their services for all my business needs and will eagerly recommend them to others.
