NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - NOT CONTACTABLE

I have had a smart meter fitted, not setup correctly. Told to wait a couple days now over a week later, heard nothing and still not corrected. Called now on the fourth time and can’t get through.. rings and rings with the most annoying hold music. Longest I waited was 2 hours on hold, didn’t even get through to anyone. I have tried all times of the day, soon as they open, lunchtime, evening. Getting ridiculous now!!!!!!

Long wait time on the phone (55 mins)…

Long wait time on the phone (55 mins) The operator answered (Robert, Irish lad ☘️) top service received, very helpful and friendly. We discussed my account and my transfer to another energy provider. Hassle fee, no problems, Robert explained everything in detail. If Npower Select had answered the telephone sooner then I would have no problem in awarding them 5 stars!!

UNCONTACTABLE

My current tariff is coming to an end shortly and all this week I have tried to ring them, holding on for over an hour, and nobody answers. They don’t have the decency to tell you your position in the queue. They opened my account with a false reading and I had to pay £38742, which immediately put my account in credit by £180. All through the year they would not refund a penny although their contract said that if you were up to £70 in credit, they would ring you and ask what you wanted to do. I have tried emailing them, putting my query in their Contact slot on their website, NOTHING. Every operator that I did speak to had no idea what they were talking about, completely incompetent. At the end of this year I am still in credit by £167.77 and hope they are honest enough to see that I am reimbursed. What an awful company - they deserve to go.

Thieving company!
I had no problem with them for the majority of my contract,however i asked numerous times for a smart meter to which they said they will send me an email link which never arrived. I have since learned they never actually do provide smart meters.
I regularly supplied manual readings and built up a lot of credit. Over £250 worth.
When i emailed them to ask for some of this to be sent back to me they decided that after accurate readings i had been under paying and they manually took all of my credit and suggested i even upped my monthly payments!
I had sent them readings pretty much every month and they never had an issue with the accuracy of them.
I made a complaint by email to their complaints department and they didn't even acknowledge it!
I signed up with a different company towards the end of the contract period and they emailed me to say that someone was moving into my property and i needed to provide a final reading. I obviously replied that i was not moving out and that i was leaving them. They are more than happy to contact you for money but anything else and you can forget about it! I have spoken to somebody today and apparantlythere is a note on my file to say it has been more than 8 weeks since my complaint and I am to take it up with the energy ombudsman,which I will be doing, but this is without a single reply to my complaint.
As you can see by the ratings here,this is a terrible company and avoid at all costs.

Awful

Awful. Customer service non existent. Please read the reviews and do not join this company!!!!

Just waited in the queue for 34 minutes, as soon as I got through, they hung up on me before saying a word!

The worst company I have ever dealt…

The worst company I have ever dealt with! Zero stars!!
I do not even know where to begin. I never write reviews, but this company infuriates me! It is now Feb 2021 and I have been waiting since June 2020 for them to connect my electric to my account and I am now worried about the switch to E.On. Next. I have tried calling EVERY DAY for 3 weeks and left the phone on hold for 1-2 hours and no one ever picks up. I have emailed, messaged and everything in-between - I am at a loss of what to do next.

Do not even consider switching to them

Do not even consider switching to them. As every other review says, they dont respond to emails or messages sent via their own website. Try and ring and it'll be at least an hour before anyone answers. They opened my account with an incorrect meter reading and tried to overcharge me by 800 quid. I've finally paid a 'short settlement' just to close the account and get shut of them after 12 months. Worse company I've ever dealt with.

Zero stars, no smiley face.

Second review of NpowerSelect.

We had a dreadful experience with NpowerSelect last Autumn. After a torturous process they, eventually, managed to organise the removal of their utility meters from our property.

However, they have continued to bill us for services which they are not providing. I am now enduring another terrible customer experience with them.

There are, undoubtedly, some well meaning people at NpowerSelect but the overall level of service deserves a zero star rating. I actively recommend avoiding or finding an alternative provider.

Never answer.

I've been trying to arrange my final bill for about 2 months since moving to British Gas. N Power Select do not answer the phones. I have made approximately 20 calls and each time been on hold for over an hour before giving up. This is utterly ridiculous.

Garbage

This is the worst energy supplier I've ever been with I do not believe that they employ a customer service department the sooner My contract ends the better only got one star because not possible to give minus star rating why does ofgem not do anything about this

I have tried every day since my last…

I have tried every day since my last review to contact this company as emails are not responded too. They have now two accounts running for me when it was a simple switch from moving house. Two direct debits are now being taken and I cannot resolve this with them. Cancelling my direct debit is one thing, receiving overdue statements and miss meter readings is another. Please read reviews before signing up.

Absolutely no way to contact this terrible company!!

Sent them on line messages, but these are simply ignored--never get a response!
Tried the Skype facility they claim to offer, but same result- no answer.
Am at a loss how to proceed with my ( very simple ) enquiry if they dont respond???

Currently still on hold after an hour…

Currently still on hold after an hour and 20 minutes!!! My plan fixed 12 month plan ends and I was going to see what they could offer me but the service here is terrible, I think I'll hang up and go elsewhere, they don't deserve the business.

i feel a bit better reading all these reviews. because it was me NPower select were just ignoring, on phone 55 mins today friday 22/1/2021 hung up in the end. E,Mails no better. just don,t reply, Last year march 2020 was with E.On, left them and went with NPower Select. I have now found out E.ON have now taken over N.P.S. as E.On next, I have been waiting nearly a year for new smart meters, i understand Covid 19 has caused huge problems, but surely an e mail would help us consumers,

Terrible company.

Changed the date of the DD without informing me, impossible to contact via telephone - on hold for over an hour. Emails aren't responded to. A complete shambles of a company. AVOID.
