Can't believe any company can be this bad

I have always dealt with my elderly Aunt's home energy supply to try and ensure she always gets value for money. Unfortunately in 2020 just before the pandemic, I switched her over to NPower Select on a comparison website and have got to say that they are without doubt, the worst company I've ever had to deal with in regards to their customer service. For some reason the opening gas account meter readings they have are totally incorrect and despite us (at their request) sending meter pictures and bills from her old supplier, 10 months later the issue is still outstanding. The last we heard from their 'agreed reads team' was in early July last year saying that they were liaising with her previous supplier to sort the issue. We have tried contacting them since by phone but you sit on hold for an hour and nobody answers, messages using the online form in your online account go unanswered and even when using the formal complaint process email address, nobody EVER gets back to you. We are now about to raise the issue with the energy ombudsman which is something that could have been avoided had this company been any good. I note that E.ON are in the process of taking this supplier over as a subsidiary (E.ON Next) so hopefully this improves things but beware, it may well be the very same people trying to deal with your account. Energy companies such as this shouldn't be allowed to have an OFGEM licence to operate...1 star is too much to give them.

totaly useless company

totaly useless, i a have been trying to contact npower select for over a month and having no luck by phone and email no response on both ends, i have been moved from the house since october 2020 and am still paying the energy bills through my account by direct debit for that house. totaly ridiculous. dont really want to cancel direct debit.

Found this company customer service to…

Found the customer service/support to be non existent. Used the online contact us three times without any joy. Each time I que up on the phone it gets cut off. I have put in a formal complaint which was promised would be resolved in ten days no joy and no response. They have messed my account up lost my payment details. Switched from British Gas, online account isn't user friendly and doesn't sure true reflection of spend...wish I hadn't bothered.
Nothing ever gets dealt with on the phone as I am writing this review, i have been on for 40 minutes the part i can't get my head round they are only open 9am - 5pm, which I appreciate we are in a pandemic but it doesn't support your customers.

Zero stars should be an option

Zero stars should be an option.

Impossible to reach - the "Contact us" form on the website simply says "email not successfully sent" after typing it out and pressing send.

Telephone? Forget it. I just spent thirty minutes of my lunch break to go from position 22 to 15.

Chat function is just a bot.

All this to try to tell them that although I switched to them for gas and electricity, they've only been charging for gas, and I've run up a credit to cover the electricity.

Avoid this shambolic company at all costs.

Please guys never use Npower gas or…

Please guys never use Npower gas or electric suplier.I can said only bad thinks.Always have problems with them.Once Npower staff taken gas meter reading wrong do mistake about 2000.So this take one month sorted out..Now change suplier to BG and npower close my npower account so looks like all done .But not after one month received letter about i have somethink left to pay npower ok but there nothing about period or meter readings.Ok so paid bank transfer.After received text about still not paid.And then contact to npower said bank details id
Is incorect but i use bank default npower details.So i need get money back how no idea.And paid again so now i paid double.No idea get back my first payment.So npower don't care anyway .So yes please please guys not use Npower.

This is the worst gas & electricity…

This is the worst gas & electricity supplier we have ever been with, took 4 months to get electricity account set up, and now 6 months into contract still not able to connect to our electric smart meter and they cancelled the meter appointment with us to have the meter changed as apparently not correct type of meter even though smart meter has worked with all previous suppliers and only offered £30 compensation for 6 months of pain with 10 60 minute phone calls and no messages replied too, we are now switching after 6 months and thankfully they wavered the cancellation fees due to not honouring the contract the only thing they have done that is correct since we have been with them, avoid at all costs.

Shambles of a company

If i could give zero star's i would , i transferred to them in June 2020 on a fixed 12 month term for dual fuel , since then they have not included my electricity supply , they have acknowledged that they supply it but i have only been charged for gas , trying to contact by phone is useless and no one ever responds to online message's i send , i'm cancelling my D/D they will have to acknowledge me them !!!

The worst suppliers I have ever dealt…

The worst suppliers I have ever dealt with in my life. A cheap option from Uswitch that has cost me so much wasted time and stress that has made me regret signing them every single day of the contract.
The waiting time for a phone call is easily over an hour. When you e-mail them they don't respond. They would charge you heaps every month and you can't even stop it. Please please do not sign up to this mess and save yourself. I will definitely be leaving at the end of my contract.

Awful company

Awful company. If you call them you are on hold for an hour at least. When they answer they don’t resolve your query and ask you to check your statements on line. I have sent 3 emails so far with no reply. My advise would be to avoid this company at all cost. I am now organising to move to another provider that has excellent reviews. I am surprised that in this competitive world companies like npower still manage to survive. Well.. not for long I am sure!

Nightmare company

Nightmare company. Unable to get through on the telephone to give them final readings, and they don't respond to emails. I've cancelled my direct debit, and if they wan't any money they can get in touch with me.

Absolutely shocking company!

She then took it upon her self to adjust my last 3 months bill by entering false figures giving me a debt over £135. This company should be closed down asap!

Shockingly Bad

shockingly bad! haven't replied to a single of my online contact us after one of the online my account meter readings thought i had gone round the clock and produced a hugely increased direct debit amount. They are always experiencing unusually high call volumes, which evidently is very usual! took over an hour to get through to someone who was very surly and defensive (which I don't blame her as the amount of abuse she must get for working for a company like this must be enormous) The whole experience is horrendous.... although prices for me are cheap! I wonder why? hmmm

Awful customer service

Awful, with them 2 months and still couldn’t access my online account or mobile app as no welcome email sent. Sent 2 emails, no acknowledgment, no change to status. Tried phoning multiple times , in queue #18, #31, then persevered from #18 - took 2 hours to speak to customer services !! Said they had “escalated” the problem and would be resolved next week. I wait to see if that happens !!

Just awful..

Just awful. Won't bill me to my actual meter readings even though I have given them multiple times. Takes 1-2 hours to get through on the phone every time. Can't wait to leave this company at the end of the month
