Does it do what it says on the tin?
It is too early to comment on the effectiveness of the product yet, but the taste is good with the added flavour pack.
I would say that the default subscription and the serving sizes do not seem to match. 14 servings means you need a pack per week, but the initial subscription is monthly. The net effect of this is that the cost of committing to this is not obvious. At the most basic level you will pay £34.99 per week or £129 per month. Then there are the added flavour packs.
In terms of customer service and the setup process, it was not obvious that I had received my report and I suggested via the website that my emails were out of sync with the delivery. The reply I received was quite an abrupt.
Overall it does take a while to set up - understandable considering the current pandemic. The report was informative. I will update once my friend receives his - I am curious to see how individual the report and subsequent product are when compared.

Firstly, I am glad you're enjoying the flavour. The flavour boosts are a great way to change it up. My personal favourite is Cacao-Coconut because of those rich earthy notes - yummy! I can see you went for SuperBerry - also a great choice especially if you're craving something sweeter.
I can see you purchased our limited time offer earlier on in the year of the 'Subscription Trial' which provided a free DNA test when you ordered it as regular delivery, instead of one-off. This means you pay for just the personalised BodyFuel.
Within this offer, we wanted our NGX Heroes to have complete control of how they wanted to trial the product, this included the ability to choose 1-4 pouches of BodyFuel within that month which varied from £34.99 to £126, with the corresponding number of meals within the order (unfortunately I can't screen capture on a reply) to help explain this.
I want to personally apologise if the way this was communicated to you on the site was unclear. Moreover, I want to use this as an opportunity to get your thoughts on how you think we could improve our customer experience when becoming an NGX Hero, as we had no intention of misleading you.
Secondly, the point toward customer service and set-up process. I re-read the email communication we had on the 08/04/21. You reached out regarding your report being lost as you had not yet received it.
For full transparency to those reading, I highlighted that it was not an out of sync process as I could see the report had been delivered, so I politely asked if you could check your spam, but included the report within that email for convenience.
Now with that being said, re-reading this email due to the short sentence structure, I can completely get how this came across abrupt, and on that part I do apologise, it was a quick reply as I just wanted to get your personalised nutrition report in-front of you as soon as possible - it's an awesome experience after all.
As for your summary. We have experienced minor delays, you're completely correct. This has been due to slower Royal Mail delivery (getting your sample to our lab) and Covid-19 lab efforts, but I really do appreciate your patience and understanding of this. Fortunately, our delivery times are much faster now thanks to the incredible Covid-19 efforts.
I look forward to your friend getting his personalised nutrition report and BodyFuel, thank you for getting your friends to join the nutrition revolution! :)

It’s the only personalised nutrition product that I know off. It gives me confidence that I’m getting the right amount of vitamins, minerals and other micro nutrients that my body needs to function efficiently. I also like that the product is plant based which is better for the planet.

I can completely understand your frustration. Any financial investment into your personal goals is incredibly important. To have these held back due to delays can be infuriating.
As a growing start-up shaping the future of personalised nutrition, we are incredibly invested in providing a 5* service to every NGX Hero who joins our tribe. I am sorry you feel on this occasion we have under-delivered.
For full transparency, I would like to highlight between the 3rd of February and the 27th of February, we sent you a total of 7 emails. Each one of these emails is to provide you an insight into the exact stage your sample is in, and how many steps are left, with the final email sent being your personalised report.
At 10:30am on the 27th of February we sent you your personalised DNA nutrition report. This meant the turnaround from the sample reaching our lab to your report being sent was 18 working days, slightly longer than our 10-14 day average due to Covid-19 lab efforts.
I will reach out to you personally to forward your personalised report again. However, can you also check your spam/junk on the date 27th February. Every email was successfully delivered our end which is why we are saddened by this review.

Seamless purchase of DNA kit and powder order. DNA kit easy to use with clear instructions. DNA report exceeded expectations with how thorough it was which came with the option of having a 15 minute consultation with the Nutritionist to go through it and chat about goals. I've used my powders in breakfast smoothies, smoothie bowls and pancakes. Highly recommend NGX!

The service was thorough and I was kept well informed with updates on progress of the analysis and reporting. However, unfortunately due to the issues around the pandemic the wait times were much longer than anticipated.
The report was excellently prepared and I was offered an opportunity to discuss this with one of the team.
All in all, a worth while option if you are looking for a Nutri-Genetix (NGX) test.

A method of on-selling their powdered foods?
Following recent GP checks, I was told I had Vitamin D deficiency yet NGX said Vitamin D was all fine. The foods that make me bloated were also scored fine with NGX while they recommended I reduce the foods that have no visible effect on me.
In short, not very helpful.

I have explained below the likely reason for this confusing situation, but more importantly please allow my team and I to help you overcome this Vitamin D issue with a chat about how we could change one or two things in your diet. To explain the difference between the blood test you have taken and the results from your NGX DNA Test, please read on.
When you take a blood test, this will be measuring the quantity of vitamins and minerals within your blood from the nutrition you had consumed prior taking the test itself. Therefore, your blood results will vary on a day-to-day basis depending on what you have consumed over the previous few days.
Our NGX DNA Test examines your genetic ability to use, process, transport or absorb different nutrients. If you get a 'normal' result on your genetic test for a nutrient (e.g. Vitamin D), we recommend that you should consume the recommended guideline amount of that nutrient on a daily basis (e.g. the EU NRV for Vitamin D is 5ug per day). If your genetic test result is not normal, we recommend increasing your daily intake of that nutrient to more than the EU NRV (e.g. to 12ug for Vitamin D).
However, it is important to note that even if your result is 'normal', you could still become deficient in a nutrient if you consume below the recommended daily amount. The best sources of Vitamin D are sunlight, mushrooms, fortified cereals, soy or almond milk, eggs, liver and oily fish.
I hope that helps explain why there may be confusion. Please do email me to arrange a chat with Olga as we would very much like to help. We can also discuss the foods you refer to that are causing bloating as there are other factors to consider as well.

Great customer service
Still new to the nutritional product so a bit too soon to feedback on this, but I was really pleased with the DNA report. I highly recommend taking up the offer of a consultation with Olga, as she offers a very informative insight into your results, and at no point used it as an opportunity to 'up-sell' any of their products.
I also experienced very good customer service from Hugo, who promptly and very helpfully got back to me when I contacted the company to investigate why my results were taking longer than expected to come back (these things happen, but it's how the company communicate with their customers that makes it forgivable!)
All in all, very pleased with the quality and service of my experience. Have recommended to many friends already!

1st month of using NGX
I started using NGX as it was recommended to me because I was having problems losing weight. It wasn’t just about the weight as I am a diabetic & although 2 years of changing my diet to Vegan had helped me lose some, my blood sugars were up & my GP wanted to put me on statins. I was very surprised by the in depth report I received & after having a chat with their head nutritionist we formulated a plan. I have 2 shakes (which are lovely) & one meal in the evening.
