I was very happy with the service and customer experience.
I had problems with my Insurer and their partners relating to an accidental paint spill.
David was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable in the inner workings of the Insurance Industry.
David took the time to read through my claim, spoke to me over the phone and visited my home. David sat down with us to explain his findings, provided answers to our concerns regarding the behaviour and competence of those employed by the Insurer.
David shared real insight and things became very clear into the failings we had suffered. David re-enacted the accident to understand the how, what and why - something that the Insurer, its partners and a so-called Forensic Expert failed to do.
David was specific in where he could offer help and was upfront regarding the costs involved. We were truly impressed by David, we feel he is a trustworthy person and has the best interests of his customers in mind.
To sum up, we had a very silly accident, our Insurer and its partners where abhorrent and incompetent in their investigation. We had lost all faith in the Insurance industry until we engaged with David.
David understood the personal circumstances that lead up to the accident, sympathised with our situation but most importantly didn't show any bias when investigating.
We would not have any hesitation in recommending David to family and friends.
A huge thank you to David for his time, wisdom and the respect he showed us.

Navigating a devastating loss was made so much easier with Oakleafe. Our insurers were good but having a loss assessor has been worth every penny. Thank you.

Without the help of Oakleafe and all the team especially Ryan for all his hard work and dedication to helping me sort out my life again after a house fire next door destroyed a lot of my contents.
Would highly Recommend, lots of gratitude again to Ryan at Oakleafe

Myself and my husband have had the privilege of working with David White from Oakleafe Claims for the past 4, whilst he supported us during our very long and difficult insurance claim. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we could not have got through this without him. It's been a very stressful time for myself and my family, and at times, I wanted to give up. However, David kept us going. He is very professional, warm, engaging and genuine, and manages to keep a cool head when all about him are losing theirs :)) It's very rare these days to find this level of service and dedication to customers needs. With over 20 years experience in the insurance industry, I can say with my hand on my heart that anyone who has the good fortune and privilege to meet David, please know that you will be in very good hands!

Oakleafe Claims Review Midlands – Escape of Water Insurance Claim
My experience with Oakleafe Claims spanned around 14–15 months following a significant escape of water incident that caused major damage to my property and business. I can honestly say that working with them made a huge difference to the outcome of my claim.
Ray was an absolute delight to deal with—reliable, professional, and always made an effort to stay in touch. I could reach him around 90% of the time, and on the rare occasion I couldn’t, he’d always get back to me promptly. He helped guide me through the Business Interruption side of things and was incredibly supportive throughout the process.
James handled the stock damage portion of my claim and went above and beyond to ensure I received the best possible outcome. What stood out to me was how understanding he was about the emotional impact the whole situation had on me—he wasn’t just focused on the numbers, he actually cared.
The final settlement I received was better than I’d even hoped for. Honestly, had I gone it alone, I might’ve received 20% of what Oakleafe ultimately secured for me. I now recommend that everyone dealing with a significant insurance claim uses a loss assessor—it completely changed the trajectory of my claim for the better.
That said, a few considerations:
Communication could be slow and inconsistent at times, which I believe is down to how overworked the team is. Ray and James both seemed to be juggling a lot of cases, and while they remained pleasant and professional, I do think the company as a whole needs to bring in more support to match the workload. It would have made the experience smoother.
Payment delays after settlement were frustrating. Once Oakleafe received the settlement from my insurer, it took longer than expected for the funds to be passed to me. While I did eventually get everything I was owed, it required some patience.
In short: if you're going through a complex insurance claim, these are the guys to call. Be patient, trust the process, and know that you're in good hands. Just be aware that they may be stretched thin, so stay proactive in following up when needed.
I'm grateful for the outcome and the support I received—and I genuinely believe Oakleafe made the difference between a disappointing payout and a fair, successful resolution.

I continue to express my continued dissatisfaction with the handling of my claim over the past 22 months and the misrepresentation in your recent response.
the insurer internally allowed for a 20% contents allowance which covered the claim The reality is that I had to intervene personally to ensure the claim progressed. The entire process was marred by a lack of communication, numerous errors, and a general sense of disorganisation from those responsible for managing my case.
It is deeply concerning that had I not remained proactive—constantly checking values and correcting oversights—the outcome of the claim could have been significantly compromised. Your team’s failure to manage this properly was not only frustrating but entirely unprofessional.
I note your convenient decision not to comment on the actions of former staff. However, the fact remains that the case was allowed to stagnate for over 12 months before any meaningful progress was made. A further 10 months of delay followed, highlighting a clear lack of oversight and accountability within your management structure.
In particular, I must call out the conduct of Manager David White, whose handling of the matter reflected poorly on your company’s stated commitment to excellent customer service. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend that he receive further training in this area.
This situation has caused unnecessary stress and frustration, and your company’s response thus far has done little to acknowledge or address the serious shortcomings throughout.
I would never use Oakleafe Glasgow Scotland ever again. It took 1 year and 10 months to complete a claim which was mainly escalated due to my own dealings directly with the insurers . I would have been better dealing with matters personally from the start. Manager David White and his team were less than professional with inexperienced staff one of which left the company during the claim likely due to her incompetence the only exception of new employee Robert who was the only professional respectful gentleman I dealt with. The company rarely return calls or answer emails my experience was simply dreadful throughout including the stress incurred due to their errors throughout the process . This company is extremely unprofessional and their only interest and goal is the 10% plus vat commission.

Oakleafe were a godsend when I had my fire.
My insurance company left me to get quotes for everything. Trying to get builders to quote for insurance jobs is a nightmare.
Oakleafe took the stress out of everything for me and made sure the work was carried out to the highest standard.

Oakleafe pounced on both my wife and I & our neighbour after a house fire, within hours I might add & even before any of us had contacted our insurance companies.
We were collateral damage in the whole thing being the upstairs property within a 4 in a block.
Dennis initially “signed us up” quickly passed to Scott who handled our claim…things seemed great they talk a good game. Promised the world “both claims would be handled and work would be carried out in harmony. Our insurance (admiral) do not deal with 3rd party companies only after our 14 day cooling off period we were told this. Oakleafe had all our insurance documents and knew this from the off. We were forced into cash settlement. On to NCN WOW never have we met such a cheeky argumentative incompetent person to date, Tony took 4 months to complete an accurate scope of works only to over quote & we later find out our insurance got it right first time. Months of lies back and forth phone calls texts, emails and lies.
Fast forward 9 MONTHS we have competed 95% of the work to our property using our own tradesman. Work on downstairs hasn’t started we are now faced with not being able to move into our family home and have been told by Oakleafe we will just have to wait. We have no water due to burst pipes beneath our neighbours floor. Oakleafe are no longer interested in helping, locked us out the customer portal.
So to anyone considering this mob please please avoid. You will be far quicker going with your own insurance. It got to the point our insurer was hounding us to find out what the delay was.

We would like to sincerely thank the entire team at OAKLEAFE CLAIMS for their professional support in handling our compensation case. Although the process required some patience, it was absolutely worth the wait — the final settlement amount was very satisfying and exceeded our expectations.
We especially want to highlight the excellent work of our case representative, JAMES CHRISTIE, whose dedication, clear communication, and consistent follow-up made the whole experience much less stressful.
We can wholeheartedly recommend OAKLEAFE CLAIMS to anyone in need of reliable assistance with a compensation claim.
Thank you once again!

I contacted Oakleafe in December 2023 following an escape of water. I had no idea just how valuable Michael was going to be to us nor how long the claim would go on for. We finally concluded our claim in June 2025, some 18 months later. Michael was there every step of the way to guide us and deal with a most incompetent insurance company. In Michaels words ' this is a straightforward case that should have completed in a few months', but not in the eyes of the insurance company. After much toing and froing Michael finally achieved a suitable outcome to get us back in the position we should be, a fair settlement were his words. I cannot recommend Michael enough and Oakleafe. I would not hesitate to use them again, but hope I never have to. Thank you for being there for us Michael and team.

I can honestly say that James Christie who handled my claim was awesome. I had an escape of water incident as a result of burst pipes during a cold snap in winter. I was away for a few days, the damage was extensive. For the first six months post-incident I was dealing with the insurer myself until a colleague at work recommended Oakleafe Claims. I have to say that it was one of the best decisions I have made. The outcome was positive, the process of dealing with BS from the insurer minimised, and overall the levels of stress in comparison to my initial six months of dealing with it was day and night difference.
Oakleafe do this very well, as its their bread and butter. However, I was fortunate enough to get James Christie assigned to my case, who was meticulous in his approach, very well organised, very personable and to be honest a very trustworthy individual. He would call me back when he said he would, he met me at the property on several occasions which was quite a distance away from his home or even Oakleafe offices. In short he was commited and motivated to make things happen. Proactive when there was radio silence from the insurer. He is the guy you need in your corner when dealing with complex claims like mine.
Hopefully nothing ever happens again e.g fire, theft, flood or subsidence etc. If it does I know who to involve from day 1.
* To the guys at Oakleafe (if you read these reviews). Thanks for making it happen, fighting my case, and enabling the outcome and award I was hoping for.

I phoned Oakleafe about a long standing insurance claim on the recommendation of a neighbour who had previously successfully used their services.
The following day I spoke with Dennis Gearty and within a few days he visited my property about my insurance claim.
Dennis was very professional, explained how the process works in detail and answered all my questions thoroughly.
I had no hesitation in engaging Oakleafe to be my representative in all future dealings with my insurance company and loss adjuster.

My elderly father engaged Oakleafe around 15mths ago when he was about to go through a major cancer operation as he didn't feel up to engaging with his insurers himself about the damaged roof. He was promised it would be a fast and stress free process for him. Instead, he's had 15mths of extreme stress watching his house deteriorate with delay after delay from Oakleafe. Communication has been extremely poor and promises are
constantly made but never met. People are constantly on holiday and don't return calls. They even implied at one point the issue was with where he lived (a rural town) - which they knew before they took on the case and never raised it as an issue before that point. We are (finally) at the stage where work was to begin this week to fix the roof. He was told work would start on Monday - nobody came. When he contacted the workmen they said they would be there on Tuesday. Again, nobody came. Again he had to contact them and was told they would be there today, Thursday. For the third time, nobody showed.
This is an unacceptable level of service to provide to anyone, but to subject an elderly vulnerable customer to it is particularly despicable. Dad is fiercely independent and has been reluctant to let me contact anyone from the company, however it is clear to me that they've learned they can treat him poorly and get away with it so he is not a priority to them. He has a call tomorrow with them and if a speedy resolution to this saga is not ensured, I will be stepping in and the ombudsman will be notified.
***Response to updated reply***
The person my Dad is currently going back and forth with has an email address using "@oakleafe.com", so it is definitely your company. They told him work would start on the 9th June, then workmen turned up the week before that and tried to start the fix using cheaper materials rather than the like for like materials agreed with the insurance company. Whilst there are definitely issues with the contractors, the communication and general standards from your company have also been extremely poor, and I don't appreciate the "we're very sorry but its nothing to do with us" response when this is demonstrably not the case.

Reply from Oakleafe Group
Absolutely awful communication from start to finish. Not worth the 10% they took and they manage to make loads of little extra bits of money along the way. Staff left during our claim and we weren’t told, nothing was handed over correctly. They take days to get back to you and are just so vague with everything. I would just handle things myself next time. They preyed on us as a street after we were flooded and have made a fortune from us all.

Reply from Oakleafe Group
A friend recommended Oakleaf after our house flooded. We were a bit apprehensive as claiming was something we had no experience of. I have to say, it was the right decision. I wouldn't say the process was a breeze, but overall I believe Aaron from Oakleaf acted in our best interests. It's not cheap, but I'm confident that the fees they charged were covered many times over in making the claim as they talked us through all the things we were entitled to, many of which we would have overlooked. Perhaps the best part is that we didn't have to haggle with the loss adjuster. Oakleaf appointed a surveyor and between them they managed the claim. The insurance company accepted every reccomendation they put forward with no arguments. I'm not sure that would have happened if we'd tried to liaise with the insurers directly.
Ours was a major claim and If you were in a similar situation, you should seriously consider using Oakleaf.

Following our home being flooded, Oakleafe and James Christie have displayed excellent compassion, professionalism, expertise and communication throughout the whole process of our insurance claim.
In particular we would like to say a big thank you to James Christie for his tireless work to help progress our claim in spite of various challenges.
