Obie provided a fast quote and processed documents for my multifamily investment within a week. However, when my lender requested additional details or simple confirmations, the Obie agent repeatedly failed to deliver, promising documents for MONTHS without follow-through. They stopped answering calls, and their email responses were vague, incoherent, and didn’t address straightforward questions, causing significant delays.

I've been trying to get a quote for weeks. Every time I try the website there's a notice for a weather event. I tried signing up for a meeting with an agent and instead was set up with a Property Management company. When I called Customer Service I was told my area was under a moratorium and they couldn't tell me when it would be lifted. I'm in Houston.

I insurances 2 properties through Obie. Both paid through escrow. Upon renewal I consistently get auto emails from Obie saying my policy is cancelled. When I reach out they say it’s not cancelled. Then the next day I will get another email saying it’s cancelled. Reps are not responsive, when I do get a reply it’s not helpful or relevant. I’d go elsewhere if you’re looking for insurance for any properties. Especially in current times when insurance is critical, getting random emails constantly that my policy is cancelled is stressful and unnecessary. Can’t get any straight answer on if it’s cancelled or why. Happened for both my properties so clearly an ongoing issue that tells me internal operations there are messy.

Pricing is a way high in FL on these fully earned policies but Jimmy really works hard for us to get the best insurance for the best price.
