About Pact Coffee

We’re on a mission to fix the broken coffee industry. Due to the traditional complex supply chain, many farmers live in poverty while others profit on the erratic commodity market.
We go straight to some of the world’s best coffee farmers and put out unnecessary middlemen. So we can give those that make the coffee a price that’s truly fair. In 2022, it was, on average, 76% above the Fairtrade base price.
We can avoid the commodity market because all of this coffee is speciality-grade (the very best). Once it’s in the UK, it’s roasted fresh in Surrey just before it’s delivered to you. Because nothing beats freshly roasted coffee.
How does it work?You can buy on a one-off basis from our online store or subscribe & save. Our subscriptions are as flexible as it gets – you can skip, cancel, pause or reschedule at the touch of a button online. And you can have coffee delivered as much as every two days to every two months.
Is it environmentally friendly?Our roastery is carbon-neutral, and we introduced fully recyclable packaging in 2023. We’re also a certified B Corp, which means we’re recognised as using business as a force for good. To read more, have a look at our transparency report.
Do I have to pay for delivery?Claim free delivery when you Subscribe & Save or spend £15. Other orders incur a £2.49 delivery fee.
Is there much choice?We expect to have around 200 coffees from eight different countries on our menu in 2023 – and we’re always looking to work with more farmers.

Rude customer service
This is the 2nd time I received coffee that I didnt order. The reply from pact coffee was , I would have received an email with the coffee I was receiving the following week. They change it themselves with no reason. Dont see the point in getting a nice coffee then the company changes the flavour.

I’m sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the coffee you received. I’d like to clarify how our subscription service works to avoid any further confusion.
Our menu is regularly updated with new and exciting coffees, and one of the benefits of signing up to a subscription is that you receive a different coffee with every delivery, unless you specify otherwise.
Please be assured that we will never substitute caffeinated coffee for decaf, or vice versa.
Customers are notified in advance of the upcoming coffee via email and have the opportunity to make changes to their order if they are not happy with the selection. This is to ensure flexibility and choice within the subscription.
We appreciate your feedback and hope this clarifies how the subscription works.

Great way of exploring the different types and flavours.
Have coffee sent to me every month. I love how it's different everytime and, strangely, have enjoyed every one they've sent. It's a great way of exploring what flavours you like. Plus the fact they sent a coffee press free...what's not to like?

This is such a fantastic company. The coffee is always incredible. The flexibility with being able to pause or move your order is incredible. We have had great tasting coffee each time and I love getting to try different types. It is very reasonably priced and the postage is always quick and efficient. They are always reliable and their efforts to make everything recyclable and ethical are what drew me to them. I love their ethos and their quality. Cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic Coffee!
I bought this for my other half who is trying to cut down on caffeine but loves a coffee. He has bought so many decaf coffees but not found any that he likes until this one! I have to say it is a lovely coffee, such a nice flavour, you honestly wouldn’t know it was decaf.

Misleading guides/do not order at the weekend.
As a first time customer used their selector to choose the coffee, said espresso machine.
Received order confirmation and it says ground beans instead of whole beans which most people with an espresso machine will use.
Contacted them straight away but weekend so closed.
Contacted them as soon as they opened at 9am and was told about how they can't change the order as it's already roasted and dispatched even though on their website it says that if you contact them quickly they may be able to change it.
Not sure how they roast and dispatch before 9am as I very much doubt royal mail come and collect it at 9am and as they pride themselves on being a "small" roaster Its not like they would have had to go searching in a 50 thousand foot warehouse like amazon.
Also I ordered a popular blend so I imagine someone else would have ordered grounded so it wouldn't have gone to waste.
No leeway or help for a first time customer.
Will not ever be ordering from them again and will be deleting my account.
Would give this zero if I could.

Quality beans.
The taste, the freshness, the quality. I'd tried a few different brands of coffee beans in my new espresso machine and they hadn't impressed I was beginning to think it was my machine, then I tried Pact. The difference was amazing. Real coffee, perfect taste.

I really like the choice available,
I really like the choice available,
I signed up for subscription after I was given an aeropress with three different coffees for Xmas.
After finishing two of the bags I decided before I finish the third I would sign up for subscription.
So far I haven't been disappointed with what I have received.
Of course we all say that we wish it were cheaper but I don't mind paying a bit more for something I enjoy

Just...SUPERB!
This was my first purchase with Pact Coffee, and it seem to be '...the beginning of a beautiful friendship'. The product I purchased was EXCELLENT! I have initially made my order for every 60 days but I shall be altering that to a much smaller wait time.
My coffee was fragrant and delicious, I am delighted with all aspects of my interaction with Pact Coffee.

I hate writing reviews like this but…
I hate writing reviews like this but needs must - they (I assume) are prob doing the right thing regarding sourcing etc then behave like a dodgy adult site by making cancelling subscriptions so hard (along with password resets) you wonder who you are dealing with - I’ve been sent another batch of coffee due to the inability to cancel - will need to cancel my credit card - rubbish !

I’ve been trying out lots of artisan coffee beans, and none have impressed me. Took a chance on Pact and very happy with the quality, lovely crema and cracking coffee flavour (believe it or not, some coffee beans barely taste of coffee!)

An exceptional product with a heavyweight price tag. Pact consistently delivers a flawless, high-performance roast straight to the door. It is a genuine five-star experience in the cup. However, let us be clinical: at £40 a kilo, the valuation is exceptionally steep. You are acquiring a luxury commodity. Worth the investment if you value the daily ritual, but brace yourself for the invoice.
