If I could give it a zero
If I could give it a zero, I would. Worst experience ever. I paid for a couple hours of street side parking near St Bonifice hospital at the provided Pay station along the sidewalk. 4 days later my bank (CIBC) detects an attempted fraudulent charge of $1,249 and notifies me. We promptly deny the charges. Upon contacting CIBC, the support person indicated the attempted charge came from Affirm & the purchaser was Parkwhiz. So obviously they have internal staff using card information and to make personal purchases routed through Affirm in attempt to deflect the purchasers information.
********At all cost, DO NOT use your credit card for Parkwhiz!!!!!
I’m never using ParkWhiz again
I’m never using ParkWhiz again. Booked at lot in NYC on Friday and when I arrived they were full and said they don’t care if I have reservation through ParkWhiz. Same thing happened the next day. And then I booked another garage until midnight, but lot closed at 11pm and had to leave hockey game early. Now they’re trying to figure out how to not give me a refund. In NYC it’s clearly best to use App for parking garage, not third party app like ParkWhiz.
Update on 12/7/24: After contacting ParkWhiz, I exchanged a half dozen emails with customer service to get a refund. After spending a lot of time, they finally issued a refund, but a couple days later they reversed the refund. The customer service is clueless as they first claim they couldn't find my parking even though I sent them screenshot from their App. THen they said I must not have paid with Apple Pay so I've sent them a screen shot of Apple Pay charges. Not only did I lose my money but I've wasted so much time.
Detroit - Difference between the online prices.
I bought in advance to get a better price by paying $15 +fee and in the day of the reservation the price it was $9.99 +fee.
I am not mentioning any difference between the online and drive-up rates.
What is the advantage of using the online service in advance? None.
If I could give them 0 stars I would!
If I could give them 0 stars I would!
I pre booked a parking pass with them. The address provided to me was wrong. It was to a parking garage just apparently not the correct one. This left me scrambling to find parking on the street and late for my event. They offered me a refund on my account that I needed to create and will never use. They claim they cannot refund my credit card.
Do not ever book with them! They are a scam!!! Save yourself the money and headache!!!
What size is oversized?
I have a Tesla Y, which is the same size as a Kia Sportage - crossover SUV - in other words - a hatchback. I brought the Tesla because I did see that "over sized vehicles will be subject to an additional fee". I also have a Toyota Tocoma - not a huge truck, but I thought - hmm, probably over sized. They charged me extra - of course I was in a hurry to get to the flight or I would have just gone elsewhere.
While away my Tesla informed me I had a flat tire. When we told them our flight arrived I told them DO NOT MOVE THE CAR THE TIRE IS FLAT - I was going to call AAA. Well, moved and hosed off and parked out front. What the heck?!? Do you thank them for riding on the flat tire, because they gave it a shower? They get 2 stars because they did have pump and filled the tire for me. But, hmmm, maybe you could have done that before you ran on the rim.
Will not use them again -
FRAUD........RIPOFF.......SCAM
Site was down, no connection?? How ever ever other site and app worked perfectly. Overcharged for parking that I didn't receive. FRAUD straight up rip off, reporting to bank as unauthorized charge. No customer service. DO NOT USE THEM OR STUB HUB ASSOCIATED WITH THEM
Do not use this website
Do not use this website. Waste of money and time. Poor customer service.
Worse Than Useless!
Don't work with this company. You are GENUINELY better off just finding your own parking.
I used Parkwhiz recently for the first and last time.
I was buying tickets for a show and got the option to reserve a parking spot ahead of time. The show was in a city I don't know well, and I was under the impression that this would be the best parking available, given that it was connected with the ticket purchase. So I said "why not?"
First red flag after buying the parking reservation is that I got multiple emails from the company with links to download the ParkWhiz app, and all of those links were broken. Not a huge deal, but definitely a sign of a lack of anyone actually paying attention to user experience.
I was worried ahead of the show because the end time on my parking reservation seemed pretty early and had a disclaimer saying that if you didn't leave on time you could be towed or charged extra, but I figured I'd check out the parking situation when I got there and move if I felt like I had to.
On the day of the concert, I got stuck in traffic the whole way there and arrived already running late to the show. I'm searching for the elevator while pulling up directions on my phone. That's when I find out that I'm parked thirteen minutes away from the venue. I was angry and felt scammed. I didn't get the details about my parking location until after I paid for it. If I had known it was so far away, I wouldn't have bothered.
I got back in my car, spending probably less than 5 minutes total parked in that garage, and left, deciding to just drive to the venue and see where the closest parking was.
When I get to the venue, there is LITERALLY A PARKING LOT UNDERNEATH IT. I paid again to park there, and got to the show, having missed the first band. Had a great time at the show, but I 100% blame ParkWhiz for making me miss the first band, lol. If I hadn't had that waste-of time-detour, I could've at least caught a song or two.
By the time I get back to my car after the show, I realized that I was right to worry about the time.
I had to drive over an hour to get to the show, which means that once I get to the car, I would spend some time queuing up Google Maps and music for the drive before actually leaving. I didn't even GET to my car that was parked AT THE VENUE until after my original reservation would have been up. With the long walk back, and especially after reading some reviews here where people said their cars got booted, I shudder to think what would have happened if I hadn't moved parking spots.
I reached out to ParkWhiz the next day for a refund. When they got back to me, they said that after the start of the parking pass, "all bookings are non-refundable." They told me I should have downloaded the ParkWhiz app to view the actual walking distance from my location. (Please note that I DID download the app, and it didn't have any info that would have even remotely helped with that). They said to contact Ticketmaster since I paid through Ticketmaster.
I responded to say thanks for your time, that I reached out to Ticketmaster, and to politely share some feedback in hopes that they could avoid losing future customers the same way.
For some reason, they responded a WEEK LATER to reiterate that I should contact Ticketmaster…in response to the email where I told them that I had reached out to Ticketmaster. They completely ignored everything that I said. I'm not sure why they even bothered to reply at all.
Luckily, I was able to get a refund from Ticketmaster and they were very kind to me about it. It's not often that I would say something nice about Ticketmaster, but they earned it, lol. Especially in comparison to a company like ParkWhiz.
From the beginning, this was a scam. If not legally definable as a scam, it was absolutely a greedy, dishonest, and consumer-hostile business practice. I was misled to believe I was paying for the best parking available, and then not given enough time to park for the show I bought the parking pass for. From reading other reviews, and my experience with their customer service, it seems pretty clear to me that they are just trying to get a quick buck, and then a few extra bucks, by ruining other people's otherwise exciting days with extra fees and towing. The people in charge at ParkWhiz should be ashamed of themselves.
Even though I was able to get a refund, the entire thing was a waste of time I can't get back, and shouldn't have happened. If I had booked directly with ParkWhiz, I would have been out of luck on my refund. I would sincerely advise anyone against using this service. It's WORSE than useless.
Attended a concert tonight and used Parkwhiz for the first and probably last time time
Attended a concert tonight and used parkwhiz to prepay for my parking. We came out of the show to find others confused as to why they have tickets when they paid. Every car still parked seemed to have a ticket. I called the number on the parkwhiz app for help 1) Its long distence 2) it then tells you if you recieved a ticket that they dont have anything to do with the people who enforce the lot. I then found an attendent who I showed my parking pass( that the times and plate match) He told us that we had to contact the parking enforcement who placed the ticket using the number on the ticket. So I guess the "Your Parking is Validated by your plate" doesnt do anything if theres no communication so that enforcement knows who paid. So since im wasting my time emailing a ticket appeal. I felt that I should also post my exprience.
DO NOT USE THIS APP
. I paid $63 for a parking space in a garage. They had THE WRONG INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARKING AND MY CAR GOT TOWED! 1AM and I'm walking with my 17 y.o. son to get the car because an UBER would've taken longer. I paid $100 to get the car out of Superio TOWING and I emailed them demanding a refund AND $100 reenbursement for the towing. THEY SUCK! DO NOT USE PARK WHIZ!!
I ordered park whiz on Groupon for…
I ordered park whiz on Groupon for SanAntonio parking today the first time was my mistake I put wrong time but then they would not refund me so I could add the right time I needed parking. So I lost 18 dollars the second time the parking I ordered it was at a hotel and because they were full they would not honor my Groupon so I lost another 12.02 I will not be using this again
I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible. Booked and paid $10 for parking, get there and show the attendant the app and reservation and they say they don’t accept parkwhiz and charged me an additional $48.
Don't use Park Whiz
We bought a parking space through ParkWhiz in Phoenix. It was for a Padres, Diamondbacks game at Chase Field. The lot which was down a dingy alley was 1 mile from the stadium. We got back in the car and drove to the stadium where we found parking across the street from the stadium for the same price we paid. It was over 105 degrees there and we could not have safely walked it. I asked for a refund but ParkWhiz refused because it was thru a third party. So much for Park Whiz guarantee.
Useless
Useless. We paid big bucks for a parking pass, arrived super early to the event, only to find the lot full with NO spots available. A total waste of $$. Went to another lot with spots available, closer to the event for less money.
Parking lot didn't exist
Parking lot didn't exist. There were two lots between a building with an address on it and another lot. One address was above the the below the lot address. Neither lot knew about ParkWhiz. Fortunately, the lot I parked in was a lot cheaper than ParkWhiz. If you are going to use ParkWhiz be sure there is a structure to park in ortherwise don't use this app. When you can't find the parking lot a one star rating is to generous.
TOTALL SCAM!
TOTALL SCAM!! I reserved a parking spot for a concert in msg when I arrived at the parking lot it was full. I was not the only one there was a long line of cars who reserved thru parking whiz. I am still waiting for my refund
Total scam
Total scam. Never having parked in downtown Orlando we figured it would be good move to have parking all set as we were attending a concert. The QR code would not scan at the parking garage so I had to pay cash. Parkwiz would not refund the money and my CC would not do a charge back. STAY AWAY!!!!
Hollywood Bowl parking
Hollywood Bowl parking - do NOT use ParkWhiz. The lot is 1.5 miles from the venue, uphill to get there. Same price ($57.00) to park a couple hundred feet from the entrance if you get parking directly from the venue. I didn't even realize I was not buying parking from the venue. The ParkWhiz email I got day of event said the value of the space I paid $57.00 for was $15.00. I called to cancel 7 hours before the event - they refused to cancel, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and referred me to Aliance Insurance to file a claim. NEVER making the ParkWhiz mistake again.
BEWARE!! Spots are not guaranteed!!
BEWARE!!! Park Whiz is good when it works! We were going Nope, not yet to see a Broadway show and when we got to the garage, they said it was full and did not let us in even though we had a Park Whiz reservation. We were left to drive around, looking for another garage that was affordable. You are NOT guaranteed a spot, but when it works, it’s pretty good.
BEWARE: PARKING SCAM in Gainesville, FL
BEWARE - Do not use ParkWhiz. Big parking scam in Gainesville, FL. Purchased parking pass (to park in Midtown Apartments Garage at 104 NW 17th St. Gainesville FL 32603, aka 155 NW 18th St. Gainesville FL 32603) for UM vs UF football game on Aug 31, 2024. Virtually no parking available but managed to find a spot on the top floor. Despite prepayment of parking and display of parking pass on car dash, was booted by Superior Towing, LLC, along with several other vehicles on the top floor and throughout the garage. The reason was "no visible decal". Had to pay $84.50 to have boot removed. Everyone who was booted had prepaid for parking.
