Ordering from Canada where there is a current postal strike and the company offered an alternative shipping service. Every year I make calendars using Picaboo but this year the discount coupon was lower than years past and I asked for a better option. I received a code that helped in reducing the overall cost and was pleased by the quick response from the company.

I recently ordered a photobook from Picaboo.com and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The website was easy to navigate, the design tools were intuitive, and I loved how customizable every page was. It gave me the flexibility to tell my story exactly the way I wanted, with plenty of creative layouts, backgrounds, and fonts to choose from. My family loved the photobook I got them of our Disney vacation!

Currently they have no ordering available, no phone, no chat. Emails and facebook messages/comments are ignored. You can make a book online, but cannot buy it or contact them. It looks like they are going out of business. Sad!
I started using Picaboo about 10 years ago to record travel trips with family. We do a Grandparents Adventure trip with our 2 grandsons each year and wanted a written and visual photo book. In the past most sites were hard to use if you wanted to include your story too. I found Picaboo and was easy to learn. I order 2 books so I can give one to the grandsons.
Sometimes I run into issues and chat usually can help or they get someone to email me to see if we can figure out the issue. 98% of the time it is me! There almost always coupons to use. Not just on Picaboo as other coupons pop up to when I order.
Their card stock is thicker than many photo sites. Their lay flat pages really lay flat! I use it if I get a great coupon!
Production to delivery is about 2 weeks since located in New Hampshire.
I am a travel nanny so travel memories are important. I didn't want an online site with my 1000 photos that no one sees, to go to waste! Occasionally I have tried other sites but usually get frustrated writing out the story with the pictures so I run back to Picaboo!
I should have done a review years ago! This last book I had trouble uploading 11 pictures and was so frustrated. Talked to chat but still didn't work. She said passing onto tech. Next day got an email with possible solutions! Tried and worked! And yes, my error! I simple forgot to try resizing!

Loved them for seven years. This year, not so much. Have been collecting photos since January and building calendar pages for my 86 year old mom and my sister for their annual family Christmas calendar. On September 28, I saw a coupon for 40% off calendars, and since I was ordering the $40 calendars, I jumped at the chance.
I couldn't get the code to work when checking out. I "chatted" with a representative who couldn't get the code to work either. She did some checking and said I would need to pay full price and then they would refund my overpayment to reflect the discounted price. I responded that I didn't want to do that--there should be on override code for such instances. Whoever heard a competent company say, "you can't get the discount because we can't figure this out...so you just overpay and we will refund later"? Stupid, stupid! I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that the refund offer was from a supervisor. I was going to give up at that point, but thought of how many hours I had put into this project and just couldn't fathom starting from scratch again. I told the rep I would overpay once I got written confirmation that they would refund the 40% overpayment. I got the confirmation stating that refunds take 3-7 business days to process.
After passing the projected refund date, I contacted the company again. Then I was told to expect 7-10 business days. ( Then the site advertised 50%off...too bad for me, being stuck in limbo). I've emailed or called every week with promises they are "working on it." We are nearing 30 business days now and NOBODY will help. This started September 28 and it is now November 3. Very poor business practice and they have lost a few customers over this.
I ordered a crystal with light base from Picaboo.com. It around a 165.00 dollar. Dhl was the carrier. I was tracking my order and it showed the order arrived in there dhl warehouse on July 8. Dhl website keep saiding that no delivery date was avaiable for 6 days. I chat with picaboo online but they were really no help. I email dhl about my order. After 3 emails from dhl i got a phone number to call for rearch to be done on my package and after a week i got my delivery. I would not recommend the cystal from picaboo because it does not look like what shows on there website and the base is very cheap.
I used Picaboo to create a number some photo calendars of my new born son for our family as XMas gifts. I created 5 different calendars with different pictures depending on who it was for.
The software was pretty easy to use...nothing fancy. The range of product options is limited and while you have a lot of backgrounds to choose from, it's difficult to browse them all. As someone else mentioned, the software is pretty slow overall.
MY BIGGEST ISSUE was discovered when checking out...you cannot combine multiple items into a single order. As a result, the five calendars I had created all had to be processed separately, and, worse, I had to pay shipping on all of them. I ended up paying an extra $80 in shipping charges alone ( I had invested too much time to walk away at that point).
This is not a company that is customer focused and I would recommend staying clear as a result. Had much better experience with our wedding photobooks at Blurb.
