Beware. It is impossible to get helpful information from Powervault.
Before sales they don't tell you that you don't buy the "firmware" to operate the battery and that they retain control.
The daily generation and storage figures available on the Portal are "only indicative" ie. wrong.
The battery has a nasty habit of exporting some of my solar power and importing from the grid without any instruction.
They have no interest in after-sale advice or help. They would not tell me the maximum operating temperature or how to take control of the (noisy) cooling fan.

I couldn’t be happier with my home battery set up. It’s making a real difference to my bills and my peace of mind. Should have got it earlier.

From enquiring about solar battery storage to installation, the whole process was accomplished by Powervault in a courteous, friendly professional manner.
Since installation they have provide helpful advice and assistance when ever I have needed it.
I would recommended this company to any person interested in this area of renewables

emailed support and received a standard automated "we'll respond in 2 working days" reply, still waiting several weeks later. Fortunately the problem resolved itself, but I hope I never have a serious issue as I'm not very confident I'll get a reply let alone a solution.

A great service, the installation went very smoothly, and the battery installation itself is very neat and compact.
After sales service has been good, and the smart charging facility makes the charging of the batteries between solar and the mains very cost effective

Very pleased with the installation and operation of our new battery. There have been a few glitches with the app, and we had to learn to ensure it was on “only charge” when our EV is charging, but on the whole a very positive experience. Would recommend.

No operating details came with it so I've had to contact Powervault with a few queries. Excellent customer services offering help and advice on my current electric supplier and other options.

installation was quick and efficient, I like the live view showing realtime usage etc.

I have had a Powervault battery now for over a year the system is excellent and you've guessed it when it comes to battery more is more and definitely needed. The controller is also very good and informative. There are great savings to begin with using overnight lower cost power but combined with Solar and being additionally active on the programming it is possible to make much greater savings - I'm down to combined Gas/Electric of £50 per calendar month - mostly standing charges. The controller has over the year become less reliable as it seems to now have to be reset regularly and I have to keep logging in and out to reset other than this excellent system.

Not a cheap option but 8.5Kw unit looks good and works well. Not suitable for a living space because of a low hum noise.
Frustratingly long delay in acquiring unit but installation good with polite friendly electrician and neat job.
Dissapointing that control unit still feeds small amount of available solar power to grid even when battery is empty.

Used powervault in winter to top up 5kWh at cheap rate . Summer gives us all evening “free”. Always have some battery storage if you have solar panels. Roll on time when we can use electric car batteries to power home at peak rates and recharge at night time rate.

Customer service is quick and efficient. Any questions were answered very promptly. Installation went well. The battery has performed better than we expected. Good product, good company.

While I had to wait longer than I might have wished to have my 6kwh Powervault battery installed its performance has exceeded my expectations, so much so I'm considering upgrading its capacity. Currently my home is being supplied from the grid for just 3 hours a day, the remaining 22hours supplied from battery storage obtained from my PV panels.

Powervault3 was installed one morning without a fuss or residual rubbish. It is a wonderful facility to have. Coupled with my solar panels I can adjust my use to service the house and charge my electric car when the sun is out. Power can be stored through the night or topped up during the cheaper period overnight.

Powervault works well BUT anyone considering an installation needs to bear in mind that it does generate some heat (which is only to be expected) and a lot of noise (which was not). I had to get the installer back to move the whole unit into another room because of it. When I looked at the technical data it’s noisier than my outside Air Source Heat Pump !!!

When things don’t go quite to plan it is encouraging to deal with a company that works with the customer to find and implement a solution… would have given 5 stars but the mobile app to monitor the system keeps failing to progress to the log in page despite uninstalling/reinstalling the mobile app …so currently only able to access information via the Powervault website.
