Bait & switch

Bait & switch. One low price, lowest in the bunch, offered on the web. Filled out whole form but it wouldn't accept my credit card, working 5 min before and 5 min after (when I went to Expedia). The dialog box said call the 833 # for special deals, and all of a sudden the price was $60 HIGHER. I was told, "Oh, probably your card wasn't accepted because the price was being changed." It appears Priceline and Agoda are owned by Booking.com's holding company and I quit using Agoda a month ago after many years of using them because they started represented surreptitious & horrible AirBnB hosts with a hotel as a front. I'm guessing there is new management at Agoda and Priceline and they are ignoring ethics and trying to get every $ they can now from customers, even ones who had used them for years.

Priceline/Guest Reservations: A Masterclass in Stealing Money Legally.

Guest Reservations is not a hotel booking company. It is a trap.

They build websites that look exactly like the hotel you are trying to book. That is intentional. You think you are booking directly. You are not. You are giving your credit card to a predatory middleman who will collect their 34% service fee, disappear, and dare you to try to get it back.

I missed a reservation because a commercial aircraft had a mechanical failure. Not a choice. Not a mistake. A broken plane, confirmed in writing by the airline. I submitted documentation. They asked for different documentation. I submitted that. They claimed they could not open it. I resubmitted. They told me to start a brand new email thread. I did that too. Five contacts. Seven days. Three rounds of documents. Not one substantive response. Not one policy cited. Not one honest reason for denying my claim. Just an endless carousel of new obstacles designed to make me feel crazy and give up.

They are very good at this because they have had a lot of practice.

This is not a company that had a bad day. This is a company built from the ground up to take money from people and make it legally and emotionally impossible to get it back. Every confusing response, every two-day delay, every impossible new requirement is a feature, not a bug.

Tell everyone you know. Leave reviews everywhere they have a presence. File a chargeback immediately and do not look back. The only language they understand is a reversal from your bank.

They are a predatory, cynical, contemptible operation and they are counting on your exhaustion. Do not give it to them.

Priceline. Horrible customer service and can't take accountability

Priceline is the worst when it comes down to accepting responsibility and accountability when they mess up. When I had to change my flight they accidentally canceled the flight that I needed instead of the flight that needed to be canceled in the first place and even though I had a trip protection they still refused to acknowledge they still took my money especially with United Airlines.

PRICELINE FAIL

We booked a package; flight, resort and car rental. I was able to hand pick my flights and resort. The car rental was the only thing handled solely by Priceline. When we arrived, the car rental was off the airport property and was in an area of Miami that we would never travel into. We waited over 45 minutes for a shuttle outside the airport. We were literally taken to a place that was fenced with razor wire over the top of the fence. After waited another 20 minutes at the counter and were told we could not speak with the person at the counter, we must make a video call at a kiosk at the end of a hallway. The call dropped multiple times. The noise from planes going over and people going to the bathroom made it nearly impossible to hear. I was told that, since we were an hour late, the rental was cancelled, but for a $15 a day late fee, it would be reinstated. My thought was that for $90 (a 5 day rental) we could get out of this nightmare alive. After scanning multiple cards and documents into the kiosk, the "representative" asked for, not my insurance card as other rental agencies do, but my declarations page from my insurance company. This contains information for multiple vehicles. I stated that I am not comfortable giving this information to them, much less in this format. After much back and forth, I am told that it will be an additional $600 to rent a car. I declined as this was not included in the Pricline package which I had already paid fully for up front and made clear to the "representative". I have full coverage on my vehicle and had proof of such which I provided. We went to the person at the counter who told us there were no vehicles available at that location. We returned to the airport to try to rent a car for our trip and called Priceline, who told us to rent a car and they would cover the difference from our package cost. We could not rent a car in the same class on short notice, but got something one class up, although much cheaper than the class that we originally rented. Priceline says that since it was not the same car class that they will not reimburse us. We not only lost most of the first day of our vacation but we are also out several hundred dollars because they cut corners on a car rental company. DOUBLE CHECK!! IF IT SAYS DOUBLE SHUTTLE FROM THE AIRPORT, DECLINE THE CAR RENTAL!!!! Only rent from name brand companies and know that Priceline will not keep their word if the company that THEY book cancels without warning! I gave them multiple attempts to correct this (contacted customer service, etc)

We were told by escalation team of Priceline "Issue will be resolved in 72h" 3 times- still no refund

We booked a flight to Paris using Priceline 6 month in advance. We paid for seats and luggage (to Priceline) to have a comfortable flight. 3 month later carrier changed flight schedule and we had to re-book using different carrier. We paid for seats and luggage again and were told that reimbursement is on it's way. Now every time we contact Priceline agent and escalation team, they promised us return within 72h. We contacted them 3 times with 10 days interval. Today we ware promised a call from manager of escalation team- the call lasted 3 sec with no one on Priceline end of the line. We are talking about around $600- not enough to hire a lawyer. And Priceline knows it, too.

My family of 7 were on a vacation to Disneyland. My 77 year old mother with cancer forgot her ID. She was able to board our plane. Check into our hotel for 4 nights without any hassles. I booked our last night stay near the airport at the Ontario Airport Inn through priceline. 3 rooms all under my name bought and paid for by me. They would not let my mother check into her room. Even though I had a ID and paid for the rooms. Priceline would not assist at all and they would not allow me to leave a review for that hotel. I have traveled a number times on Vacations booked through priceline. I would NEVER use them again.

Don't Use Priceline...Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Priceline totally and completely let me down and took me to the cleaners!!!!.I made one small mistake. I realized it immediately and tried to correct the mistake and they said"sorry, too late" you hit the agree button and that will cost you $923.00. All I wanted to do was change the date on the rental car pick-up date. And it was immediate. I realized the mistake in an instant but I had clicked the I agree button so too bad for you customer and great for Priceline to take my hard earned money. I'm retired for Pete's sake.
It's amazing to me that no one at Priceline has ever made a mistake.

Our European and Middle Eastern Summer Trip

We booked our flights for our European and Middle Eastern trip last summer with River at Priceline. Priceline was the cheapest price we could find. River had helped us book the return flights over the phone. It was not easy as we needed different arrivals and destinations for the return flight. We also had some problems with our credit card not allowing the payment to go through and River had helped us out dealing with it. She went by far, above and beyond what she needed to and made the booking experience far better then it would have been with anyone else. We were very impressed with her, she was extremely helpful, courteous and very friendly, trying to do her very best she could possibly do for us.
Next time we book a trip we will be using Priceline and 100% definitely be asking for River to book our trips for us.
Thanks so much :-)

Priceline is Great!

I’ve been using Priceline for a while now to book pretty much all of my travel, and they’ve been great. The prices and deals are always competitive, and I’ve saved a good amount compared to booking directly.

What I really appreciate is how clear and transparent everything is during the booking process there are no confusing surprises, and it’s easy to understand exactly what you’re getting. That makes a big difference when planning trips.

On top of that, their customer support has always been helpful and friendly whenever I’ve needed assistance, which gives me extra confidence when booking through them.

Overall, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences. Thanks so much, Priceline

A bunch of money grubbing liars

A bunch of money grubbing liars. I had to cancel a trip to Philadelphia due to my son's college tour being cancelled by the university. Priceline said they couldn't cancel the hotel stay so I called the hotel directly and found out that the reservation was cancelled on their end and that Priceline had lied. Basically what everyone else is saying, be careful. They are only good and taking your money and good at not standing by any type of business principals, especially customer service.

Should be illegal and criminalised.

Waste of time and false adverting. Prices go up 10+ times before payment.
Car rental for 2 weeks advertised at £250. Final payment nearly £3000.
Complete waste of time and a disgrace of a business. Should be illegal.

Just want to shout out to Simon who lives in the Philippines. He really did a great job helping us although we booked through the website but helping us comparing and getting the right flight, he did an amazing job! This is our first time flying with our infant that is why we are having a hard time deciding but we chose lesser stress flight. I hope the world will get better soon so seeing the family is not this worrisome. Thank you Simon! We appreciate you so much!

I get to my hotel room that I booked through Priceline come to find out my key does not work it is not going to work so I have an option of leaving my door open or calling the front desk every time I go out and need to come back in and Priceline didn't care at all to cancel our reservation or to help us get into a different hotel room and we use Priceline a lot but on everything I love I will never use Priceline again they pretty much told us we had to deal with it and there was nothing ever going to do about it so now I'm going to go outside and call the front desk 12 times in a row and that are 15 minutes and then maybe they might want to help me then Price line you suck I don't recommend them to anybody

That's like me putting me on a boat to go on a trip but the boat leak so Priceline would have to have the Coast guard follow me to bail my boat out so It didn't sink because the battery is dead

My flight on Qatar was cancelled on…

My flight on Qatar was cancelled on March 23, 2026. Priceline has given limited information about the cancellation. Emails are not returned. When you call you are moved from one representative to the other. Each call states they are waiting for Qatar to give them the money back. That is fine, wait, but the customer should not have to wait. Today is 17 days since I requested my refund. I had to book another flight out of pocket that cost me $500 more than the original flight. I have travel insurance that I cannot begin to file a claim from until I get a email stating the flight was involuntary cancelled and how much my refund is. I have used Priceline for alot of flights in the past but have never experience how they react when a flight is involuntary cancelled. I am disappointed and will book all of my international flights direct from now on.

Priceline canceled my flight just 12…

Priceline canceled my flight just 12 hours before departure, giving a completely vague explanation about some kind of “fraud” issue. It’s unclear what that even means — the payment was successfully processed, the money was taken from my account, and yet they still accepted it. On top of that, they delayed returning my money.

They also refused to reinstate my ticket or restore my booking, and they declined to compensate me for my expenses — including the price difference for a new ticket. They simply left me on my own with the problem. In the end, I had to buy a new ticket at twice the price out of my own pocket.

Do not use this platform — your flight can be canceled at the last minute. Worst travel company in the world.

For the love of God, DON'T USE PRICELINE

I was travelling to Bolivia and had booked a return flight via Priceline. Shortly before my departure from my home city, I discovered that my booking got changed. It involved 4 different flights. The airline had moved my first leg forward a day, but didn't bother to change the dates of the other 3 legs of the trip so therefore was an invalid connection. Neither the airline nor Priceline picked up on this.

I called Priceline to notify them of the problem with the connecting flights and was told not to worry; check back in a few days and they would straighten the issue out.
I called back 4 days later and was then told that it was my responsibility to contact the airline about the error, not Priceline's issue. I called the airline and was told they can't do anything about it as they don't have "ownership" of the ticket. I was instructed to contact Priceline again and get them to call the airline and transfer ownership of the ticket.

When I called Priceline, I was told they only do things via email not via telephone and that an email would be sent to the airline to make the appropriate permissions to change the ticket. One week later I called Priceline as nothing had happened. Upon further inquiry, I found out that Priceline had been requested by the airline to send a screengrab about the booking but it hadn't been done in over a week as they were "busy with other flight cancellations".

The request got escalated by a supervisor who would be handling the issue. Was told they would be following the ticket error. A day later we were scheduled to get a callback about the problem being rectified, but never heard back. Called back later that evening, and still nothing done about my ticket.

As my return flight date was rapidly approaching and I was in a foreign country (Bolivia) with spotty cellular coverage at times, I couldn't rely on Priceline to get anything done in a timely fashion. Looking at available flights, there were very few options left (one or two tickets for selected flights), I was forced to pay 4.5X my original ticket price for a new booking of an economy seat ($4500 instead of the original $1000). Both the airline or Priceline refused to rebook my original ticket. Due to Pricelines completely useless customer service, I couldn't depend on them getting a reissued ticket that wouldn't extend my trip home by a few days because the last remaining tickets were being snapped up at exorbitant prices.

Eventually, the airline did cancel my original booking while I paid through the nose for another booking.

Now 3 1/2 weeks later, I still haven't received a refund to my credit call and will be calling Mastercard to get them involved.

Most of the calls to Priceline customer service involved hold times of 2-2.5 hours which you can imagine is horrendously expensive when calling overseas.

My experience with Priceline has been so utterly dismal I would beg you to look for alternates when booking. I see ZERO value add in booking through this agency compared to just booking directly with the airline.

I have used Expedia for all my other travel needs over the past decade and have generally been very satisfied with their service. The only reason I used Priceline in this case was they offered one flight connection on WestJet via Cuba for returning home that no other website offered.

Will never use them again and would urge you to consider this note a cautionary warning.

I booked a rental car in Phoenix for a March trip. I already had a flight booked. The flight from South Bend to Phoenix was canceled due to a blizzard. I could not get another flight for two days later. I called the rental car the morning of the flight and canceled the reservation with the rental car service. I spoke to their customer service person about a refund and they said to contact Priceline who did the booking. Priceline has done nothing but give me the runaround and delay delays and stuck me in their Cycle of blaming it on the rental car company. I will never use Priceline again. I do not recommend them to anyone. Basically what happened to me is both Priceline and the rental company got to keep my money, even though I never got a car to use and they were able to rent the car that I didn’t use to someone else.
