This company sent payment demands for ~£4,700 on £900 leasehold payments. Here is the kicker - the £900 payments (being 3 sets of £300 payments for units in The Met - a dedicated student accommodation) were still some days away from being finally due to Grangeford Asset Management Limited (the leaseholder), both under the terms of the lease contract as well as a verbal agreement with the staff of the leaseholder. The lease payments were made to the leaseholder in line with the lease contract provisions and the verbal agreement. Yet Property Debt Collection Limited hurriedly took on a referral from a particularly vindictive staff of the leaseholder (name withheld for now) for profit. 😀
As a Finance professional, I would thus question this company’s ethics and quality of due diligence (to put it mildly). The nature of this referral from the leaseholder should have immediately raised multiple red flags. As I have no illusions as to their modus operandi, full defensive measures have been put in place including taking legal advice and request for compensation as part of initial steps to making a formal complaint to the FOS.

Absolutely scandalous company. Wrote to my accountants regarding an unpaid property debt that was nothing to do with my company. They were simply on an incompetent fishing trip. Mr Giuseppe Tona should be ashamed of himself; apparently he is meant to be solicitor but he cannot be bothered to research properly. As for the lady on the other end of the telephone, she should not be in any customer facing role! Inept, poorly trained and downright rude. Hope never to come across this excuse for a "Law" firm ever again. Before Katherine Bye (HR & Compliance Director) offers another "cut and paste" response, thankfully I have never had the misfortune to be a client of yours, only an innocent victim of your malicious, dishonest behaviour.

Invoice 2610066
Invoice 2610066 - RMG you have so many things wrong and so surprised your in business, your day will come. Your invoice system is shocking and you quickly inform debt collectors and add fees to make profit absolutely shocking. I had never received any correspondence or invoices from RMG, on asking PDC for the invoice it was fabricated by RMG with incorrect dates and costs not matching the online statement….. clearly fabricating invoices that they had never sent. I can’t believe companies can trade like this in the UK. This is not the only case with RMG, Facebook has a dedicated RMG site with some shocking reports…. No smoke without fire!
PDC clearly have not disputed my case with RMG based on the poor evidence provided, clearly in bed with RMG making money at peoples expense. The cost from PDC are not justified, £250 for sending a letter and absolute disgrace. PDC can’t show the break down cost of that fee.

Debt collectors are always awful, these are the bottom of the barrel, having to chase them to get answers is insane, disgusting practices and should be investigated.
They never provided invoices or proof of contact about original charges.
For future readers, FCA allows a £75 charge for initial contact, not the 25% they charge.
They are allowed to charge 7.5% if you don't respond, you'll have to fight it, but they are in the wrong.
And please do report them to the FCA for unlawful practice.

Company representatives can't justify their fees, customer service is unacceptable

Sent me letters/emails for a debt I was originally paying anyway. When I dispute it they ignore me for months on end and say they are waiting for the original company to get back to them. Added charges which more than DOUBLE the original debt!!!!!
