Protyre Autocare - Exeter Reviews 

Had a puncture, fitted the space saver and popped in to Protyre on the way home, chap behind the desk could not have been more helpful and friendly, even apologising that they could not do it immediately. Car was booked in for midday the next day and was done in 45 mins. I waited in the reception rather than walk home and back again and I was very impressed with how everyone who came in was treated. I would highly recommend this place and it is now my autocare provider of choice :-)

Excellent service. I've used Protyre Exeter for the past few years. Without exception staff have always been so polite, helpful and straightforward. Everything is explained clearly and potential issues that require attention at the next service are raised without any pressure.

As usual a good experience. Polite and efficient staff, problem dealt and car returned without any delay. No complaints.

Staff member was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had the front tracking checked and the staff member showed me results of the rear tracking and whilst there was not pressure applied I chose to have that adjusted as well.

I was also advised the track rod ends were worn and should be changed before next MOT - again no pressure to have it done here.

Very quick and efficient service. Arrived at the depot 10 mins before my appointment, explained I was early as I had a hospital appointment. Fitted in straight away. Very polite and professional.

Well organised and great service

I had an appointment booked for 12.30 on monday and waited an hour before my car was even seen! I appreciate delays but a heads up would have been nice! It ruined my entire afternoon! Not happy at all!

Speedy & efficient

Awful experience, took my car to the Exeter branch for MOT, it failed and they quoted £1000 for repairs, took it elsewhere and even using genuine parts came to £400 less and the mechanic said that he probably wouldn’t have even put the parts that failed as an advisory, took it back for a retest and the tester lay on the floor and looked at the parts quickly then bounced the bonnet up and down a few times then issued the pass although one of the advisories that I had replaced at the same time as the parts that failed still showing as an advisory so clearly didn’t even inspect it properly, will never go back again!

Attentive, polite and way better than the other tyre firms I have visited recently. I will be back.

Due to some confusion there was an issue with the tyre fitted and I have to say that Craig dealt with the issue superbly and it was resolved quickly. I have used Protyre for many years and the service they provided here just confirmed I am dealing with good people. Thank you.

I needed a new battery for my car so gave pro tyre a call and they explained everything to me which was good and even got me in on the same day that I called they did a great job and now my car is fine again will use them again if needed be

I recently had my van MOT’d at Protyres and was shocked by the repair quotes that followed. After the MOT failure list, I was quoted prices that were over 50% higher than other garages for the same work.

Thankfully, I shopped around. What Protyres quoted at nearly £400, I had done elsewhere for £200 — including front brake pads, discs, and a tyre replacement. The price difference was staggering and simply unjustifiable.

I feel like they rely on customers not checking elsewhere. I won’t be returning — ever — and I’d strongly advise others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any work.
