Protyre Autocare - Leeds Headingley Lane Reviews 

Took my car in to have a puncture done but was told I needed a new one. When fitting the tyre the mechanic damaged the screw so I was told I needed to go to a garage in Holbeck to get a new one. When I got back to Protyre the engineer told me I needed a stud as well !!! Went back to the garage in Holbeck and was told that I had to order one !!! Next day delivery. Went back next day to collect it and went to Protyre and was told I had to make a booking which I did for Thursday the 6th at 1pm. Went in yesterday and was told they couldn’t deal with me as they were too busy !!!! Now going in tomorrow at 8.30am. Fingers crossed.

Absolutely top notch customer service and really accommodating in regards to getting the problem solved within the working day.

Very helpful. Helped us out at the last minute with an MOT.
They also sorted out a flat tire on our other car and checked over a few other bits without charging us extra. Very generous of them.

The staff at the Headingley branch in Leeds were very helpful and sorted the problem with the car very efficiently. Also communication was very good, which I appreciated. They kept me updated with what was happening. Plus reasonable price.

Update to my review below. After 3 weeks of emailing and trying to speak to them, I finally got a call from the area manager in response to my voice mail and emails to them. He said they had reviewed my car footage and also their footage. Though nothing was conclusive, the area manager has agreed to cover the cost of the repair to my wheel. The gentleman was very helpful and listened to my concerns in a polite manner. I have been now refunded a percentage of my money I paid.

Have been using this branch for years for both of the cars at our house, without issue. However on this occasion for two front tyres, upon collecting the car and returning to work I found a huge impact indentation mark and the surface taken off one of my alloy wheels. It's in a place you couldn't hit when driving (not the rims but part of a spoke. A wheel refurbish place I have visited said it looks like it's been dropped or something dropped onto it. I know it wasn't there the day 3 days previous when I cleaned the road salt off the car and with the snow the only place it had been since was to this garage.)

I took a photo straight away and sent it to the branch asking how it had happened and asked for some money back towards the wheel repair. I heard nothing.

A couple of days later I emailed the head office, coping in the Headingley branch and the head office replied and said they would get an area manager to contact me. A week and a half later I received a voicemail asking me to call back (which I did within seconds of missing the call) but no answer and straight to voicemail. I have tried phoning back a couple of times and left a voice mail but no one has got back to me.

Further to this, I decided to go through my dashcam footage to see if it had picked up the incident with the wheel in parking mode. I did see the wheels get wheeled away and later return, but unfortunately the work took place out of site. However, what alarmed me was the footage of them "testing" the car out and driving without a seatbelt (the chimes go for the whole journey) at 30MPH in narrow residential 20MPH streets with the added danger of frozen slippery roads and snow, so in effect breaking the law in my car. As I result I don't and wouldn't feel happy visiting this branch again, which is sad, as for many years the old staff that had previously there were really helpful.
