I reached out to a Personal Trainer & they took the time to meet me offsite so i could go through my apprehensions of recent surgeries etc. i then felt very comfortable to join!

Three weeks in and the experience is…
Three weeks in and the experience is mostly brilliant, friendly and really helpful staff, great classes. I would say that being an older member I have to build up to lifting 10kg rather than be able to go with 10kg or more from day one. Thanks all, I'm really enjoying PureGym Aylesbury.

Amazing and friendly staff but let down on cleanliness in toilets
Amazing and friendly staff. Toilets usually not clean, one or the other is usually blocked. Is very busy during peak times between 5-7. And can be very hot in the summer. Amazing range of equipment and value for money.

Regarding our gyms being busy, our gyms are indeed very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website to see how many people are in the gym. Thanks, PureGym.

Poor communication
So, my local gym in Aylesbury has issues weekly with maintenance. Leaks occur regularly and it seems the boiler breaks down fortnightly.
When the boiler breaks, there’s no hot water, therefore no showers. When this happens. It seems obvious to me that they would use their socials to let members know as soon as possible that they’ll not be able to use the shower. Many members go direct to work or have appointments planned for immediately after the gym. However, I’m told by the gym manager that they are not able to use their socials to keep members informed in this way as their posts are scheduled in advance. In this day and age??? Seems very antiquated that socials can’t be used instantly at PureGym. I think you need to allow your management team on site the ability to keep their members properly informed.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our facility providers to ensure that our facilities are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment and facilities, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym.

I have been attending this gym for a…
I have been attending this gym for a few years and it has been getting filthier and filthier often the changing rooms have the same rubbish on the floor for days and the plumbing in the toilets has leaked for a long time.
Fairly frequently there is no hot water in the showers.
I have used other gyms around the country and they have been spotless by comparison.

Buddy option doesn't work for me despite having just taken out plus membership
I have found the whole membership experience a nightmare. Spent an hour today trying to add a buddy without success. The app just keeps saying there is a problem, please contact membership services.... When I joined at the beginnng of the month I emailed membership services and got no reply. So it seems the extra that I have paid for the buddy option is wasted this month. I don't think that I will be continuing my membership.

Jack Bennett PT
I had Jack as an online coach for 6 months and in this time he got me in the best shape of my life at 34! I had always enjoyed the gym, but before Jack, my workouts had no structure to them and my nutrition wasn’t on point. I didn’t even know what macros were!
Jack changed all of this. I had a goal of getting shredded and without Jack’s excellent mentoring and knowledge, this would not have been achievable. It’s clear that Jack not only has a passion for bodybuilding but also a passion to help people achieve their goals. From tips on form to motivation to adjusting macros when needed, Jack was faultless during the duration and it was a pleasure to work with him.
A change in personal circumstances has meant I’ve had to stop, but there is no doubt, I shall be returning in the future to work with him. If you’re serious about training properly and getting the physique of your dreams then look no further, Jack is your man for the job!
