I have been a member of pure Gym in Bedford since they took over LA Fitness
It is not a bad Gym from a price point of view and the majority of members been very friendly
However it is an absolute disgrace when it comes to the showers in the men's They get blocked on a regular basis as well as the hot water again not working regularly.

Clean and well looked after
Clean and well looked after. Plenty of equipment to use depending on the time of day. I only stopped going because more teenage girls used the gum to use equipment as a seat and play on their phones rather than actually exercise. Couldn't really access the equipment I needed.

We do our very best to provide a wide range of kit so that members have a variety of ways to workout. We're afraid we are unable to monitor the usage of phones in our gyms, however if people are sitting on equipment we would advise approaching a member of staff on the floor who will be able to look into this at the time! I have been a member for a long time…
I have been a member for a long time and I am very disappointed with my local gym. All classes on Sunday keep getting cancelled when 1 personal trainer is on annual leave, as there is no one else to cover it. I keep trying to book into ride a week in advance but always on the waiting list. The trouble is there is so many new members and the gym have not increased trainers or classes. I am not willing to pay extra so book more than 1 week in advance.

We do our very best to provide a wide range of classes at varying times, so that all members have the opportunity to attend. With this being said, there may be times where an unforeseen circumstance arises and this results in a change of the class timetable which we can appreciate can be frustrating for members. We ask that you get in touch directly with the Gym Manager so that they can discuss this matter further with you and they will be able to provide a more direct update of the class scheduling. They will also be happy to take on any class requests you have as we are always looking to improve our services to best suit our members. If you have the PureGym app, please also ensure you have the push notifications enabled as this will notify you about any classes you have been booked onto if you are on the waiting list! Great that I am able to pay a year in advance for people who can afford it. as it reduces the monthly bill. It would be great to see if people can verify themselves and have student membership at affordable price that doesn't take up all the wage. around the equipment to is very dusty. I agree the main floor area isn't as dirty but would be good to see more space available as it feels cramped at times.

No bullshit
Easy to join online, no bullshit onboarding or pushing for personal training.
Equipment is a dated but they have everything you need for a great workout & clean hot showers.
Great value, no commitment 👌

Unexpected visit but we were welcomed
Although the team member was unaware of our previously arranged visit, she welcomed us to the gym and gave us a tour of the facilities. The staff member spent time explaining the different items of equipment and areas. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, although the kit was a little more basic than were used to. We’ve still decided to join as Plus members!
