I like Puregym I really only use it for the showers as I would cycle into work or go for a run. It’s no fuss and you can cancel if needed .

My sister got stuck in the gates she put her code and once the gate opened it got closed and she was stuck inside and couldn't even push the gate to manually open I had to use my pin to get her out of there no one was around in the gym to ask for help so I was nervous the whole time I would get stuck in the gates if I use my pin again .On the way back we had to manually push the gate open to get out

Can you provide deodorant and display it in the entrance and ask members to spray before working out? I’m not being mean but hygiene is very important.

As a bodybuilder who lifts much heavier weight than most, the gym is much better than most other commercial gyms and definitely govt leisure centres. Dumbells go to 50kg which is fairly decent. Plenty of space, plenty of (constantly updated and maintained well) equipment, open 24h (great because I go at 5am).
Only downsides are the music is more commercial and it can be really busy in peak hours. I maybe would train somewhere more suited to bodybuilding if they were as convenient and open 24h but the price, opening hours, good locations and well maintained equipment are just too convenient to ignore

There’s only 2 steppers in St Anne’s Square and 1 of them doesn’t properly function. It took so many attempts for it to register to ‘Start’ you could not adjust the speed at all the buttons wouldn’t work. I got off to try and use a treadmill instead, surprise surprise the treadmill wouldn’t turn on. After a few attempts it eventually went on, but again more buttons were broken you couldn’t adjust the incline only the speed. The smell of the gym is very strong (not in a good way I felt sick going in). Other than these issues everything else was ok we used downstairs for weights some other machines. Would go back if these issues were sorted.

Well equipped and managed gym.
Loads of equipment which are well maintained and cleaned. Friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere that all helps with achieving results.
There’s always room for some improvement in the locker room and updating equipment but hopefully that will happen soon.

I’ve renewed my Pure Gym membership after a 8 year hiatus. Im so glad I did, Pete the manager is great and really takes real pride in the gym. My experience 8 years ago was very different. The team now are all very friendly and helpful. It is so diverse, and they have created a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
In July 2023, I started to train with a Pure Gym Personal Trainer, Una Adamane (Unique Training) and it’s been the best personal health investment I’ve made in a longtime. Una is an excellent trainer, extremely professional and knows her craft well. She’s extremely attentive, personable and knowledgeable. In a short time and with her support I’m getting results I would only ever have dreamed of!

It’s been a steep, invaluable learning curve training with Una and an absolute pleasure. She’s a consummate professional, with incredible knowledge and understanding of her craft. Each session is carefully tailored to the specific requirements necessary that day. I have lost a lot of baby weight and gained strength and energy under her gentle but firm guidance. No looking back! 💪🏽

Belfast st Anne’s square gym.
Overall average. The equipment is ok and the gym is big and spans two floors.
The flavoured water dispenser has been broken for nearly a week despite the gym well knowing about the issue. Some people are paying extra for that and this should be fixed asap. The ventilation system is poor and the air con has been broken for months downstairs and it gets really warm in the summer, unacceptable. Only one hygiene station per floor, absolutely not enough. They have removed some of them, nobody knows why, making it even more unlikely that people will clean the machines after themselves. The place could do with some improvement.
