PureGym Borehamwood has been an incredible journey for me, the staff is very supportive and professional, the personal trainers are amazing, always there to help you with anything you need and what I love the most is the community in PureGym Borehamwood, great vibes, positive energy and very friendly.
I’ve recently lost someone in family and PureGym has been a massive help with my grief and mental health as well financial.

Please add some equipment
This was my first gym before going off to uni, I've tried all different types since starting the gyms so I have some suggestions from "experience" lol.
The gym itself is ok, if youre a newbie or use a lot of machines you'll be fine but a bit of investment in some new free weights kit and I think it would improve the atmosphere and maybe help with the rush at busy times.
A new platform. One just isn't enough, especially during peak. From looking around, there is space for one, with a bit of moving around of some equipment. But with powerlifters/weightlifters/ and general platform use there can be a lot of waiting around.
Better bumper plates - the current plates are ok expect the 5kg and 10kg full size fives and some thicker sturdier tens would significantly improve the gym. But in general new plates that can be dropped (if needed) comfortably and safely should be a staple. The 10s are flimsy and old, and again standard big 5s would be good so the bar is raised to normal playe height.
I really things that it it what could be done to improve, maybe the current rack/platform and the bench press machine could be straightened for a better mental element.
I've only been back in this gym a few weeks but having spoken to other members I think these are common areas for improvement.
As I said it's not bad, but it feels neglected and I do not think those changes are particularly to much to ask. Other puregyms are so much better.

Disgusting and unhygienic.
Hi,
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the cleanliness standards at PureGym Borehamwood. My recent visit was highly disappointing due to the unhygienic conditions I encountered.
The facility was visibly unclean, and the lack of proper sanitation created an uncomfortable and unsanitary environment. Had I been aware of these conditions beforehand, I would have never chosen to spend my money at your gym. This experience has made me feel that my membership fee was completely wasted.
I urge you to address this issue promptly by improving the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the gym. Regular maintenance and thorough sanitation should be a priority to ensure the safety and well-being of all members.
I would appreciate a response regarding how you plan to resolve this matter.

it's a good gym
it's a great gym, the only problem is the shower.
it is impossible to take a shower because the shower head is not there and water splashes everywhere.And but I would suggest changing your shoes in the locker room before doing gymnastics!

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.

Showers really need updating and to have hot water
Also gym equipment needs updating, other pure gyms have the new treadmills and stair stepper.

Our gyms are indeed very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website to see how many people are in the gym.
