My view is that there is a lot space…
My view is that there is a lot space for more multi gym equipments, as they are not easily available during busy periods.
Also, would be good to have a clock in the main gym area ( not just in the chasing room)

Prefer it to the Pure gym in central Bristol
Plenty of space between equipment which is appreciated. Not busy when I go which is normally early morning but occasionally at 4pm too. Just one gripe, a machine has needed fixing and it has been over 2 weeks and still not repaired

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

No music.
I understand it’s £20 a month but being a big franchised gym you would of thought they could keep it clean.

Decent gym with ladies area
I like this gym as it has a decent ladies area (compared to the old xercise4less lol) although male staff will just barge in and out without notice! A warning knock or shout would be helpful as some of us cover up. Please can you make note of this and let staff know as other reviewers have mentioned this too. Thankfully they give a warning if they enter the changing area.
I have to mention the cleaner lady was very helpful and noticed I looked a bit lost on my first visit. I have seen her helping others too as staff always seem to be busy.
The amenities are good - and I'm loving the app - the gym is spacious and easy to get to on the cycle track. Not in the best area but is good value and I haven't had any problems as of yet :)

Needs more weights for bars
Not nearly enough smaller weights for the bars (1.25, 2.5 and 5kg) meaning that everyone has to constantly ask other people for the ones they are using.

I am a multi-access user for PureGym…
I am a multi-access user for PureGym and generally really value the flexibility of being able to visit different gyms as my work takes me to different locations.
Unfortunately, I visited Bristol Barrow Road twice in one week and omitted to enter my car details into the parking machine inside the gym (I do not recall seeing it as I entered). Despite making this honest mistake, I have been fined for both visits by Highview Parking, despite proving that I visited the gym for my stay.
Neither Highview Parking or Puregym are willing to give me the benefit of the doubt which has left an extremely sour taste. Especially as a multi-gym access member I would expect both parties to be a little more sympathetic to these type of scenario's as not all gyms are the same (despite being Puregym's) and all parking requirements are different. Very disappointed.

I give only 3 stars for the bad sound environment, horrible loud music forces me to spend money for a noise canceling headphones.
Sometimes people doesn't follow the rules and no one control it.
Needs more machines, a big gym can't have only one machine for muscle group.

I wish you guys took the ladies only…
I wish you guys took the ladies only section very serious. As a muslim women it would very nice to exercise somewhere where i can wear less clothing and with no hijab but when male workers keep coming in and out of the section, it makes me feel uncomfortable and I’m forced to wear more clothes and exercise with a hijab. This is what was keeping from going to the gym and now that I got the courage to go and finally found a gym close to me that makes me feel comfortable it gets ruined.

I went to the pilates class
I went to the pilates class. But the space that we did the class in all the music from the main gym blared into. It made it really hard to relax and enjoy the session. And even harder to hear the teacher and her instructions. I guess you get what you pay for. Pure Gym is really cheap. But perhaps I should pay a bit more for a better pilates/ yoga experience somewhere else.
