I do like the gym, but too busy
I do like the gym. The people are friendly and it has lots of different equiptment. But it is crowded and at times too busy. There is a functional area that gets commandeered for classes. And sometimes there are high waiting times for equiptment. If it was a bit cheaper, I wouldn't mind so much. I am going to try Edinburgh leasure for a bit.

Worst gym ever
Worst gym ever. Stinky, sticky, overcrowded. Won’t recommend to anyone. Furthermore they didn’t set up direct debit so can’t cancel.

Really easy to download app for pay as…
Really easy to download app for pay as you go. We are visiting Edinburgh and bought a day pass. Gym is well equipped and has a great view over the water of Leith. The only downside is they play music very low so you can hear everyone.

Changing rooms a bit smelly
Changing rooms a bit smelly. Way too busy. Most trainers are very nice. Cost too much for what it is tbh, but ok for occasional training if you're there with a friend.

Cramped
Found the rack area to be claustrophobic and cramped. Changing room was the same. Many plates were not in the correct place, so I had to go looking for my equipment so I could lift.

Please note due to the situation of our gyms it isn't always possible to extend the site itself, however, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities where possible, so please keep an eye out for updates.
If you have any specific suggestions regarding the layout of the gym please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to address this. Thanks, PureGym.

Website error made signing up take ages
It was difficult to find out what the best value was for me, and I was repeatedly told there had been an error processing my application and accepting my payment.
It took three or four goes to get through to the end, and took me far longer than I'd have liked.

Best gym
This gym is amazing I have no bad reviews to say about this gym classes and in Instructors
Are 100% brilliant loving the new unit with all the new and more Equipment.i did a boot camp class last week for the first time it was excellent in Instructor was one of the best I have had. Never had a bad experience with emails for getting intouch with the team or problems with codes.

Gym equipment all good. Excellent range of machines, weights, and floorspace. Fair priced.

Far too warm to train comfortably. It was 22C my last visit. I can't do cardio otherwise I overheat. Not doing cardio is a big miss.
Pure Gym say their gyms should be between 17.5C-21.5C. That's way above Sports England and Sports Scotland recommended temperature range. Sports Scotland recommends 14C - 16C for a fitness & cardio facility while Sports England recommend 16C - 18C. Seems like Pure Gym are trying to save money by not having to turn the air conditioning on unless it's very warm.
Sent email to Ocean Terminal about the temperature but they didn't respond.
Changing area is very small and gets overcrowded even at 10pm.
Only one toilet cubicle in the men's is not appropriate.
Edit following reply from Pure Gym:
"it isn't always possible to extend the site itself".
That's a poor response. It's a brand new gym. You chose to make the changing room less than half the size of the previous site and put one toilet cubicle in instead of the two cubicles at the previous site, even though the new site is much larger.
