Pure Gym Silverburn
First time at the gym today and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The personal trainer I saw (Craig Young) was friendly and knowledgeable which helped put me at ease. I was extremely apprehensive as I’ve had bad experiences before and I struggle with fitness but with the right support and understanding I really enjoyed it. The membership price is very reasonable and the staff appear friendly and helpful. 5 stars from me!

⭐ Great gym with everything you need
PureGym is a great gym with excellent facilities. The equipment is modern, well maintained, and there’s plenty of variety whether you’re doing weights, cardio, or functional training. It’s clean, spacious, and easy to train without feeling cramped.
The 24/7 access is a huge plus, and the atmosphere is welcoming for all fitness levels. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the membership offers great value for money compared to other gyms. Overall, a solid gym that does exactly what it promises. Highly recommend.

all you need in one place
This was my first visit to this gym, I had a first session with Personal Trainer who showed me everything. This gym is quite spacious, there are 2 levels. I was there at 8 pm however it was still quite busy. The place is clean and nice.

Can't get through a workout without the fire alarm going off
I bought a day pass and an hour into my workout the fire alarm went off. As there were no staff in (on a Sunday afternoon) we were told it would be at least 40 mins til someone came in to fix it. So we were outside in the freezing cold for this.
Fair enough these things happen and Pure Gym kindly gave me another day pass to use again.
Two days later, Tuesday lunchtime, once again the fire alarm went off! This time thankfully I took my stuff with me but wouldn't use this gym as you apparently can't get through a workout without the fire alarm going off!

The gym is constantly a mess
The gym is constantly a mess, every morning when attempting weights and dumbells are left lying all over the place. Empty bottles and cans. I don't know why these people who are attempting through the night aren't being banned. It's a disgrace.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to address this. Thanks, PureGym.

too many people using 2 machines at one time due to pt sessions also people just sitting on machines and not using them also changing areas quite dirty tonight

New to the gym
I recently started a membership for PureGym after filling in the information online. I found the process very simple and this gives you access to the app. The app is helpful as it allows you to book classes that are on in the gym and also gives you information about how busy the gym is when you are visiting so you can pick a time that suits. There is quite a lot of equipment there, although I am yet to use most of this, but will be soon after I attend the learning to lift class. There is a range of classes that take place within the gym at various times during the day which is good. I look forward to more workouts within the gym and learning to use more of the equipment.

The 'Bring a Buddy' code did not work
The 'Bring a Buddy' code did not work. No explanation as to why, as it has never been faulty before. Attempts to resend the link/code were fruitless. I then paid for a daily pass which I could not access. So, I spent £7.99 on nothing. I was left standing outside of the PureGym Silverburn, Glasgow, for nearly 40 minutes, trying to gain access to the building. No members of staff came when I pressed the button specifically designed to call a member of staff to the main entrance to the building - although there were staff in the building.
I was not a member of PureGym, I am the chosen "buddy" of a member of PureGym. The communication and direction from the staff to the members is non-existent, given the lack of staff walking the floors of the gym.
I would strongly suggest that rather than having a button which, when pressed, sends an alert to a device held by members of staff, you instead have that button connects you to a customer service help line of sorts where members/casual members can acquire help from a human being on the other side of the line. Not everyone who attends PureGym is tech-savvy.

When added as a Free Friend the main account holder would need to enter the gym prior to yourself in order to gain entry, and if removed a stop would be applied for that date.

I was nervous to start the gym, but once I had my starter day, I went in with confidence the next day. Pure gym is a safe, welcoming environment!
