Really easy to sign up and get straight into the gym. Thank you.

Very bad experience.
There is not mobile reception at the lobby so you can’t pay online. Then in the GYM
There is no mobile reception and the free WIFI for non members is very broken, so I couldnt listen to my podcast while working out.
The treadmill cools down after 20 min. Which is so annoying for a longer walk or run.
Also a towel service could have been helpful.

The gym equipment is very good
but the process of getting in an out of the gym took 20 minutes out of my workout time of 1 hou. Someone had to come and help me to get in. The layout is also like a mouse maze. I also don’t like being forced to give so much my information to use the gym which I don’t want to be used for marketing.

I really like the facilities and all the equipment looks very new and clean. It is not too crowded and it's also very close and convenient for work. I am slightly concerned however by the absence of staff and telling people that they can use the defibrillators in an emergency. I personally would not be confident of doing this if someone had a heart attack or something. I think this is a case of compromising safety in an attempt to cut costs.

Truly an awful experience. I tried to sign up for monthly membership at the 50%-off price advertised outside the Great Portland St gym. I tried for 30 minutes, as it was becoming closer and closer to closing, before surrendering to purchasing a 3-day (min) pass just so I could work out. However, on that night and the consecutive 2 nights, I was unable to connect to the wifi no matter how many times I tried and what I did -- even though your sign-up accepted a US mobile number, so it should have worked for validation. Your onsite staff was completely unhelpful. Bottom line: I wasn't able to enter on the first night in time to work out and, after arriving at 7pm for a 45-minute workout on the remaining two nights, spent so much futile time trying to join the wifi for music while working out THAT I HAD NO WORKOUTS AT ALL. I've contested the charge on my credit card.

Although staff very good and gym very convenient to work does need some TLC as looking very dated

The heat is unbearable! Please fix the AC. It is awful working out in such muggy smelly heat. There is no air filtration. Also the machines are so close together so as a newbie it’s quite intimidating and the free weights room is so small I can barely ever go in there

Odie is great, his 7am circuits class alone is worth the membership fee!

Loos are still a bit whiffy. Not used the showers but not heard anyone complaining about the blocked drains so hopefully another problem solved.

Gyms decent however the manager was doing a spin wheel raffle game , I won a free PT session, the PT trainer that contacted me I found him very arrogant so was reluctant to do anything with him. Next minute he turned round and said PT ain’t free I said but I won a free session from your manager but you want to charge me. Yeah that just put me off completely, ain’t been back since.

I have been attending this gym for around 6 months and I love it! I usually attend Odie’s morning classes and they are my favourite and it is the main reason I continue coming to this PureGym. My friend and I find Odie really attentive, he listens to feedback and we love the vibes he brings to the classes with his enthusiasm and good music taste! He is always smiling and a familiar friendly face in the gym. When I am running late in the mornings he always offers to pack away my equipment so I can make the most of the class. Overall I am really happy with my experience.

One of the standout features of Puregym GPS is their exceptional team of instructors. Martin Filani, Martin Woodward, Ken and Odie are all incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any questions or concerns. They all make sure you don't injure yourself and get the best workout.
These professionals are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable in their respective disciplines, but they are also incredibly encouraging and supportive. I would advise anyone to try Martin Filani's Legs, Bums and Tums and Bodytone classes, Martin Woodward and Ken's Pump and Bootcamp, Odie's Kettlebell classes.
This female-friendly gym truly goes above and beyond in creating a supportive and empowering environment for women of all ages and fitness levels.
I have never felt judged or self-conscious while working out here. The emphasis is on personal growth and fostering positive body image.
The gym itself is clean and well-maintained thanks to amazing Gustavo!

Beyond happy to have found this gym, I have joined and left so many gyms in the past due to the high volume of people and being constantly interrupted by personal trainers trying to sign you up (or chat you up) this gym is not like that at all and all of the Personal trainers/ staff and members are polite, professional and friendly… I have finally found a personal trainer (Martin Filani) who is working with me to help me achieve my goals, he is highly knowledgeable, gives me daily expert advice, friendly, professional at all times and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with him over the last few months! So thank you Martin! The gym overall has a family vibe and it is such a breath of fresh air to find a personal trainer/ gym who knows their stuff, doesn’t let you quit (even if you beg), and who doesn't try to chat you up or make you feel uncomfortable - finally I can sweat in peace !! Would recommend to everyone and anyone and would be happy to share my review on other platforms if that would be helpful. Thank you Martin/ pure gym - always a pleasure!

It is quite intimidating and really puts you off when during your first attendance to the new gym, you ask for help on how to use the machines and the explanation is almost not existing instead you are pushed to go for a PT...

Impossible to get information. In London for a month and need a temporary membership of a gym close to my hotel. In the lobby of the Great Portland Street gym, pressed the HELP button repeatedly - no response. Emailed for information - no response. Then read the one star reviews here and relieved I didn't get in.
Going back to Fitness First Tottenham Ct Rd - accessible, reasonable temp membership, and always welcoming.

The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, and the cardio machines (the only part of the gym I use) are in good working order.
