The Pure Gym Piccadilly gym is going…
The Pure Gym Piccadilly gym is going from bad to worse and Pure Gym Management (not the staff in the gym) are taking advantage of the members. The upgrade has now been completed and yes, its new paint work, showers and shower doors (but why have you left the old cubicles shell and just changed the doors) but nothing else has improved. There’s little or no WiFi, poor network connection, the changing room and shower floors are the same - dirty and stained, the lockers are old many with hangers missing. The equipment was crammed into a small space, making training extremely dangerous; however, it would seem that someone has listened to the numerous complaints as changes have been made. Now to top it all, there’s now no hot water. How are you meant to do a good work out and then have a cold shower!
We were promised that towels would be made available as is the place in London Aldgate and Moorgate but that has failed to materialise instead the membership fee has risen three time in a 8 months. I heard a chap saying that a large chunk of the gyms membership have left – moving to The GymGroup in Charing Cross which has the same equipment but is clean and costs substantially less.
When are these issues going to be fixed ? You can't blame the staff in the gym as they are all doing their best in the circumstances - its the people above them that need to resolve these issues.

Do not meet with the standard offered
I asked for Wifi, they don’t know why is not working for more then a year, also hot water, I told to the manager isn’t hot, they also don’t know. In the meantime paying £37 a month. Worst deal.

Yes, I bought a one day pass to the St James location and it was closed. So I tired to use at another location and it wouldn’t let me. And there’s no way to change the location and also no one to contact.

Each day pass expires at midnight. If you buy a day pass at 2pm, you have until midnight on the same day to use the gym. Please note that day passes do not last 24 hours.
There’s an option to delay your day pass start date for up to one month.
If you reach out to Member Services on email or through socials they can look to update this to a new date of your choice instead. Thanks, PureGym

I think the 1 day rate is too expensive, no internet there. Besides this, the gym is ok

very clean nice gym
very clean, good selection of equipment. I also liked that there were multiple cable pullies, squat rack and other popular machines, so that there was minimal waiting, even during busy times.

Membership is flexible, especially for short visitors to London.

Joining experience is easy. The piccadilli gym is a very odd underground warren of rooms. It has everything most people will need, however once you've explored. I wasn't very impressed when I looked up from my workout on my first day to see the manager apparently filming me. He had his phone on a tripod aimed at me and he was smiling. Looked like he was posting the video somewhere. I may be wrong of course as I never actually saw the video or asked him what he was doing...
Thus is not the best pure gym but its OK and enables me to use the gym on a weekday as its not too far from work.

This is the gym that is located in the heart of London. I am a member for the last few years and I can confirm that the internet doesn’t work in half of the gym at all times !
How this is acceptable in such location in XXI century ?? I’m not sure… @pureGym can you please do something about it ?
