Busy and classes over subscribed
The class schedule is limited, its the same classes and not much variety at all. The limited variety of yoga, zumba etc, has an extra charge.
The gym is really busy so classes are usually a good option to avoid the crowds. I booked a class when I arrived the studio was packed with very limited space and there was no equipment left. Clearly it was over subscribed either over booked or people allow to walk in, it defeats the aim of booking.
I left instead of joining in without equipment as the instructor suggesyed. What a waste of time for a class I booked on to.
I'll be cancelling my membership, after 1 month.
I like the gym
I like the gym — the people are friendly, I have a personal trainer, and I train with him twice a week. I just find the whole experience welcoming and conducive to my goals. There's a good selection of equipment and the gym is well maintained. Perhaps the only negative is the loud music from the studio during group classes, but that's a minor quibble.
The equipments needs to run through…
The equipments needs to run through maintenance. There is a one puregym personal trainer that is working with clients during the evening. I get that they sometimes hype the clients to motivate their clients but he keeps making atrocious loud noises that I can hear from the other end of the gym. This is not a one time occurrence. His group of his “boys” are always loud, filming something, that completely disrupts our session. They need to know that they are not the only one working out in that gym. And he looks scary to even point this out.
Fantastic facility with a great vibe!
I’ve been training at PureGym Woolwich for a while now and it’s easily one of the best value gyms in the area. The space is clean, well-maintained, and despite being busy during peak hours, there’s enough equipment to get a solid workout in. The atmosphere is super inclusive—no matter your fitness level, you feel welcome here.
I especially want to highlight Kadie, the Assistant Manager. She is incredibly professional and always goes above and beyond to ensure the gym is running smoothly. The rest of the team is just as professional (Lawrence, Eddy, Babs).
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a no-nonsense, high-quality gym!

Second Home
Ever since I started training I have received nothing but support from the staff and the gym community there. The PTs are not only helpful but easy to get along with, PT Kadie has not only become a mentor to me but a true gym mama, she makes sure things get done and people are cared for. PTs Lawrence and Eddy continue to inspire and push me to be better in whatever I set my mind too.
Puregym woolwich has truly become a second home, the environment is vibes and clean at all times.

This Magical Community
The Community and Personal Trainers at this gym are what makes this gym a truly unbelievable place.
Kadie's dedication ad energy bring joy to the gym floor, Eddy's classes are always the best vibe, Lawrence's workshops are a killer and overall, the different classes (none of which is a joke, you will leave feeling properly worked out), the vibes, the support and love are truly exceptional!

I provided feedback and improvements were made!
I've been seeing a steady improvement in the cleaning and conditions of the gym!!!Well done to the team!!! No more equipment that ran out of batteries, the chains on the equipment look like they've been getting the proper quantity of WD-40. The work is visible!!
Kadie, Eddy, and Lawrence have been the people I've interacted the most so a shout out to them!
Cheers!

Something needs to change
I think that puregym woolwhich are well aware of the fact that there is a lack of commercial gyms in woolwhich and know they can be complacent as long as they remain busy. Where to start...the gym constantly smells, the sanitiser station by the entrance has been empty for months, allowing guests to sanitise on entrance and entry is so simple to implement but would go such a long way! Soap dispenser and hand dryer has been broken in the men's changing room upon multiple visits... not even a temporary soap by the sink (I don't even want to think about how many germs are being transfered to the equipment.) Why are there only 6 benches in one of the busiest puregyms in London?? Don't even get me started on the locker situation, just look at the other reviews. You can say "guests are recommended to bring a towel" but the majority won't - there should be stations to sanitize equipment. If you want to boost your immune system - puregym woolwhich is the place to go!

Friendly environment
Friendly environment. But I felt like not enough fresh air when I used the running machine for over 5 mins. Thanks
A real review about Puregym Woolwich
A real review about Puregym Woolwich
This is probably one of the worst reviewed Puregym. Management WERE nice however gone down hill with lacking skills, some staff think they better than everyone else, are rude and not welcoming at all, it doesn’t take much of an effort to smile or say hello as you are the face of Puregym.
Certain male Staff/manager have harassed women for their phone number and to be physical with them or threatened to get banned! Puregym Head office needs to be made aware as some women do not come here for this reason. Disgusting!
Large open gym however not enough equipment to go around especially if there are too many members in at the same time. Yes, could look at the app to see how many members are in the gym however if I do this everyday after work then I will not be able to come gym as its busy everyday other than the weekend. There should be a limit of people at any one time. Changing rooms are ok, however can get smelly and dirty. it should be mandatory to bring your own towel to put on benches/machines instead of leaving your disgusting body sweat on the equipment and walking off. It should also be mandatory for any gym that members to wear appropriate gym footwear, and not flipflops or crocs and staff will not tell those members (if they are members) A couple of faulty machines have been reported but not fixed or repaired (over 4 weeks), it has been bought to management attention.
Groups of boys/children hogging a few benches at the same time even though they do the same exercise. Couple of members decide to do a super-set exercise and state they are using the bench, lat pull down and cable machine at once and think they own the gym, this should not be allowed, it’s a gym for everyone.
As per a previous review about members bothering other members. I agree….. this is a place where people should be able to come, exercise in your own space and go home, not stare at women and think this is Hinge or a Speed dating venue ! It isn’t a place where someone can exercise in peace without being approached or hit on.
There are some nice regular members who make it bearable and happy to share and help.
People use this gym as a crossfit gym which it is not and not designed for. Groups of kids hogging equipment and thinking they are part of a Strongman competition or acrobats. Very busy between 3pm and 9pm and has been since the gym opened.
A pair of members train at this gym nearly everyday, hog two benches, and lots of free weights so no one can use them and then setup infront of the fire exit! Why is management or staff not telling them this is a hazard if there was a fire? Because the assistant manager doesnt want confrontation. The owner or mystery shoppers should come to this gym to witness everything first hand.

The gyms are in great condition
The gyms are in great condition, staff are friendly and the value for money is second to none.
The Vitality partnership is a great incentive, I can go to any gym, use the Yanga water and get 50% off. No brainer if you're with Vitality.

Easy
I joined 2 years ago and remember it was simple and straightforward. I use it most days in the week because it is close by, and is open early. At other times it is still accessible. Equipment is good and it's usually not over busy.

I'm not too happy because I'm paying to be able to use all the puregym and it turns out that the puregym that is in Woolwich I don't have access to use it and the truth is that I'm very upset.
There is also no page where a person can complain.

Too small
The gym was meant to be 24 hours when it's not, it's way too small with barely any equipment. If it wasn't the closest one to me I'd have left years ago
