My reviews are…
The staff members at the gym are very friendly, always happy to help and very uplifting on a bad day. They work well as a team to keep the gym a happy, healthy and judgment free zone. The equipment is reliable but when it breaks it’s very quickly fixed. The changing rooms are kept clean and tidy and the gym is well looked after. There is a good variety of foods and drinks in the machines. Although, the water fountain water could be colder, often I’ve filled my water up and it has been lukewarm. Lots of equipment available for many different exercises, although I feel the gym lacks a few pieces of equipment that could really better the gym and would therefore appeal to more people.

The equipment is good but the gym is let down by
The equipment is good and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive but unfortunately this gym is let down by the poor maintenance and lack of basic facilities in the mens changing rooms specifically;
- one of the 2 loos has had its seat missing for weeks
- one of the 5 showers has been out of order for weeks
- today one of the two soap dispensers above the basins was broken/ missing and the other had no soap in it.
It wouldn’t take a lot to fix these things. This is very disappointing in a large national company.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.

Very disappointed, hot and smelly
On my way into the gym this week (hottest week of the year!) I was told by a member of staff that the aircon wasn’t working. I then followed him into the ladies changing rooms (he was doing a cleanliness check) and the smell 💩 ewwww. The ladies toilets were not working (never known them to be working since I joined in august). But the smell mixed with the heat in the gym was not motivating me to workout. I left after 45 minutes of cardio dripping with sweat and feeling slightly sick from the smell. Not in a hurry to go back so membership fee wasted. Shame as I really wanted to do this and felt motivated after struggling with mental health issues for years. Wouldn’t recommend at the moment, not until they get the toilet problem and aircon sorted. Have sent an email asking what they plan to do and after five days, not had a reply. Going to cancel my membership and find an alternative gym. Being over 50 myself, a working toilet is a must!

Broken AC. Again
It’s odd.
Every year in the summer when there’s a heatwave, the air con breaks.
Then in the winter, the heating breaks.
So yet again the air con is broken, staff state it will be fixed next week after the heatwave.
Don’t join if you want a pleasant workout

No working air conditioning yet again…
No working air conditioning yet again for the hottest week of the year.
Complaint raised with Pure Gym via Twitter who are adamant it’s working when it’s clearly not, I’ve put my hand in front of the AC vents and it’s pumping out warm air!
Utter joke.
