Puregym Beeston
Gym is OK, few things improved since I last time was there, but.. I left this gym due to cold showers, tried again after two years, and still very cold showers? I mean, if I pay for membership I'm sure I pay for warm water in the shower too? Every single shower has cold running water in ladies. Why? Please explain why?

Our shower temperatures are regulated in club but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym

Very efficient and informative!
Signing up for PureGym is very easy! I had a membership before, so I received emails about their offers and I chose the most profitable one for me to join. All I did was followed the link from the email, chose a gym I would like to go to, type of the membership, paid for it and I was good to go! Setting up a direct debit took some time but you need to be very particular with these things anyway. After signing up, I instantly received emails about how to get access to my gym and how to download their app with workouts. Very efficient and informative!

Session was good but ‘being a friend’ pin did not work on the door for entry or exit. Staff said this was a common issue.

Nottingham Beeston is a clean and well designed gym. The classes are good and instructors friendly. Love the use of the app which tells you how many people are in the gym to avoid busier times. The app also has virtual sessions if you go away or need to fit it into a busier day which adds to the member experience. My first week has been a very positive experience

First time at a gym
First time at a gym as i have always been terrified.
within 30 minutes I had been shown round and was on a treadmill and now cant stay away.
very welcoming and not the horror show I was was expecting.

Great Gym, but please turn the shower temperature up!
The gym facilities are always clean and tidy, however the showers could be warmer. A reduced temperature is appreciated in summer so the sweats don't start again after a good session, but in winter if it doesn't feel any warmer after being run a few times that isn't nice! :-(

Good overall gym
Don’t believe in giving any less than 5 stars which is why I have but….
On a whole this gym has everything you need and a good commercial gym for all types of gym goers, beginners or advanced. Which is to be expected in a chain like this.
Few points to hopefully try and fix…
Toilets in the men’s were rancid the 3 days I attended this gym. No paper any days and actual faeces on the seats on both so I don’t think this was cleaned for my 3 days visit once.
Awful smell of urinals/sewers downstairs where the dumbbells are racked.. smell there the 3 days too.
Finally, maybe the most important would be the trainers. Whilst the majority seemed pleasant I would say maybe a chat with some of the biggest trainers you have about professionalism and them making you feel comfortable. I asked politely if a trainer and a customer had finished on a machine that had been de-racked but both leaning on.. the reaction from the general client was nice and advised I jumped on. The trainer on the other hand looked at me like well I’d no place being in the gym let alone asking to use a machine he was leaning on and not using. I saw a poster in the bathroom that states about harassment and to report it, I wouldn’t go as far as to say I felt harassed but if I wasn’t a seasoned gym goer and a newbie I would of 100% been put off this place by his reaction to a simple question and the way he stated at me during my session after that.
I’d like to point out I am a personal trainer and to be in this profession you need to be polite, respectful, approachable and above all professional to all people looking to improve their fitness whether experienced or not. This pt is an ambassador of yours and as such should be trained in how to treat all types of clients.
As I said before I am not every going to give less than 5 stars as i understand how the system works but please review this and if anything I hope it helps your team become better trainers personally and professionally.
