Best gym I’ve been a member of….
I’ve loved attending this gym since the day it opened, all the staff are so lovely, friendly and supportive, it has a real family feel. James the manager was great at inspiring me with his initial classes I attended, making them tough but also great fun! I’ve since done classes with Molly, Wilson and Jo, all great. I decided to PT with Jo these last few months, and it’s the best thing I could have done, she has reignited my passion for fitness, whilst educating me so much in strength training. I can’t recommend the gym enough, I feel all the staff go above and beyond and are very personable.

Women at risk for this very reason.
Don't join, you might encounter problems ..... go elsewhere.

Brilliant gym everything u need
Great price for a day pass I'm a avid gym user and staying in Southport for a couple of nights just thought I'd try it brilliant gym loads of modern equipment all easy to use really good and clean changing rooms and showers highly recommend

Cancelled class
Arrived on my first day yesterday for a MIND class at Southport gym and the instructor didn’t turn up. When someone went to find him he said he was ill and the class cancelled. He didn’t even let us know. Apparently he did the same thing last week. Not a great start! Hope things improve.

I am an eighty year old pensioner but…
I am an eighty year old pensioner but lve always went to the gym . I like the fact that l can come into your gym and feel quite at home doing my own thing. I found the staff very helpful .

Excellent Gym
Joined PureGym Southport in November last year and it has quickly become my second home, great classes, helpful friendly PT’s & an excellent range of equipment.

Youth club full of scroats
I think there is a lot of spare space that could be used for more equipment [specifically bikes, rowers, cross trainers etc - not everyone is a weight lifting meathead). The most annoying aspect of the gym is that is appears to be used as a youth club for hood-rats who seem to bunk in on an individuals memberships. They allow the one member of their group to open/allow access, and then all pile in or out

Gym looked old and overused
Gym looked old and overused. Broken equipment, the treadmills were in a mezzanine level and you could hear the thumping throughout the gym. We were there on a free 3 day pass to see the gym. We used it once and vowed to not return. Went straight to a different gym and joined there.
It's in a good location but seriously needs an overhaul. Even at the cheap monthly price, I'd want a fully functional gym.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym.
