False Advertisement Issues
When choosing a fitness club, I am usually looking for a fitness studio with specific features; neutral colours (ideally dark grey walls). No noise pollution or bright light distraction is also important for me. These features are probably important for any non-neurotypical person. I recently visited Pure Gym Facebook page and saw some really impressive looking studio that would be good for me. Sadly, the images are misleading- the photos were taken in a different location and are just cloned onto pure gym page in my city. Pure gym please remove these confusing misleading images and stop pretending you have a modern, dark grey, well lit fitness studio in this location +diversity in classes. Show potential customers what you actually have. Some people will make terrible life choices based on your false advertisement <-can choose wrong city to live in assuming the facilities you show in photos are actually available there. False advertisement in the fitness industry can be more damaging than most people think.
Pure gym apologised for the inconvenience the images caused me but did not remove these images so they can still confuse and cause issues for other viewers.

Once this great gym now turned sour
Once this great gym now turned sour. The team during 2019 and 2021 was the beat until having to pay for rent costs you talent and making a decent salary.
It has never been the same since Richard left. The classes turned more robotic, no passion or character.

A very open space
A very open space. An abundance of machines for specific exercises. However, because of the extremely long rack for the dumbbells, I found that the lighter weights were located towards the section for the heavier weights, which made it a little harder to find lighter weights.

Place has gone downhill lsunately
Place has gone downhill lately. Mainly due to cleanliness in male toilets. Smelly buckets with dirty water and no toilet roll the other day

All staff are very welcoming They are eager to help and I feel very much at home. The gym is not full of lycra clad young people and is welcoming to all.

Toilet area are dirty and stink
Toilet area are dirty and stink , the sinks are dirty even though they’ve signed to say they have been cleaned.
Machines need cleaning down , for instance when on a machine sometime a the weights are stuck together then suddenly drop .
Not enough options for leg extensions , only one machine

With regards to equipment we always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio.

The Pin for the Free 3 Day Pass never…
The Pin for the Free 3 Day Pass never worked. Travelled all the way to the Gym for nothing as could not get in and no staff answered the assistance button call.

Old equipment…
The equipment in the gym is very old now and it doesn't work correctly. Some of the equipment doesn't line up and is lopsided

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment are fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym.
