A friendly gym for everyone
I've been using the gym for some years now. It was always kept clean and the equipment generally well maintained.
The recent upgrade of the shower area and a complete overhaul of the equipment has made a huge difference.
The staff remain the same and there's always a friendly smile. I get to a couple of classes each week if I can and find the instructors attentive.
The really nice thing is that there are folks of all ages, shapes and sizes and it strikes me that no one feels out of place.

Great staff
Great staff, made me welcome and a good introduction back into a gym environment. A good assortment of equipment, modern and clear instructions on use. A great atmosphere. I would recommend.

We do our very best to provide a wide range of classes, so that members have a variety of ways to workout and also do so, in a short amount of time, as we understand some members are crunched for time or just prefer shorter (but effective) workouts.

It is just an easy gym to go to. Staff are friendly, not too busy, so you can always do something else, if the activity you want to do is busy. Loads of different things to do, and love all the videos on the ap to help inspire.
Glad to see the sanitising stations are back. I live nearby, so it is perfect for me.

You have hardly any classes now that I can get to.The timetable is awful.There should be more Spin and more dance type classes, and at different times of day - not just early morning and early evening.

Hi there - Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we always appreciate and take on board member feedback. I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to advise on parking costs whilst using the gym. The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking.
The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym.
If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.
Supportive and Well equipped
Good facilities, helpful staff. I've booked a session with a PT, its very supportive of those new to the gym environment.
