I’ve been a member of PureGym for a while, and overall I think it offers good value for money. The monthly membership is affordable, and the gym has a wide range of equipment.

My biggest concern is cleanliness. I’ve visited the gym at many different times (early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and even during the night) and unfortunately the standard of cleanliness is consistently poor. The changing rooms, showers, and toilets, particularly the women’s toilets, need more attention. If you’re working out near the men’s toilets, unpleasant odours are noticeable whenever the door is opened.

The gym floor could also be maintained better. Gym users often leave rubbish, tissues, or other items in the cup holders of the machines. While the floors may be vacuumed, these areas are frequently overlooked. A thorough clean should include the equipment itself, not just the space around it.

Another area for improvement is the cleaning supplies provided for members. In many gyms I’ve used in other countries, disposable disinfectant wipes are readily available throughout the gym, making it easy for members to clean equipment before and after use. At PureGym, there is typically a spray bottle and a reusable cloth. Unfortunately, the cloths often appear dirty, which makes members question how hygienic they really are. At the very least, these cloths should be replaced or laundered much more frequently, or better yet, replaced with disposable wipes.

Finally, I think staff could take a more proactive role in maintaining the gym. There are times when staff members appear to be available but aren’t actively checking the gym floor, tidying equipment, or addressing cleanliness issues unless they’re specifically approached. A more visible presence and regular inspections would make a noticeable difference.

Absolutely terrible, didn’t recoive an email or confirmation of my membership so I wouldn’t be able to access the gym, they took the money straight away. Contract them same day took a day for response they didn’t sort the issue that day I wanted my money back for the shoddy business there providing.48 hours later after I asked for them to resolve this, I’d have to wait 15 days. Honestly stay away there’s plenty of better quality gyms out there.

The gym has an impressive amount of equipment, reasonably priced, and it's usually not too busy when I go, so plenty to like.

Unfortunately, the men's changing room has been plagued by maintenance issues. For example, the taps were out of action for several weeks, and the eventual "fix" was what looked like a makeshift camping-style sink. It doesn't inspire much confidence in the upkeep of the facilities. Or another time it looked like someone had exploded a protein protein shake over the floor.

Overall, a decent gym let down by poor maintenance of the changing rooms.

Fantastic classes when Amanda as always, very motivating and fun, really love combat and pump on a Wednesday night.

The gym is a great place to go to get away from life in general and concentrate on you.PureGym Ipswich Buttermarket is full of the friendliest people in town, it’s like a micro community!

It's q friendly gym with great staff - even when it's busy you can get on a different machine for the same muscle group..My only criticism is people using the lockers as their personal lockers (264 especially).

High-tech gym recommended. Plus I like the flavoured drinks

This gym is underground and in 2026, still seemingly not willing to invest in a WIFi router fit for purpose so that users can do something as wild as listen to music whilst working out.
Spend some money. Sort out your IT and give members the facilities they deserve at what is supposedly one of your flagship gyms.

I had such a fantastic experience at PureGym London Moorgate. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by Giampaolo and the whole team in such a warm, friendly, and professional manner.

Giampaolo took the time to show me around the gym, which is incredibly spacious and absolutely spotless. He also helped me book a Reformer Pilates class, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The equipment is immaculate, and without a doubt, this is the best PureGym I've trained at. The dedication that Giampaolo and his team show to customer service, cleanliness, and maintaining exceptionally high standards truly sets this gym apart.

If you're in the area, I highly recommend paying this gym a visit—you won't be disappointed. It's an outstanding facility with an amazing team, and it's definitely worth becoming a member!

I’ve been to many gym’s over the years, some really expensive and posh, but Puregym got something that they haven’t and thats EVERYTHING. It’s easy to join the staff are friendly and approachable loads of classes, loads of space and equipment. Why go anywhere else. I love it.
