I’ve been a member of Pure Gym for a…
I’ve been a member of Pure Gym for a while now, and I’ve had a generally positive experience. The gym has a good selection of equipment and facilities, making it suitable for various workout routines. It's true that it gets busy during peak hours, but that’s pretty standard for most gyms.
I’ve noticed the cleaner on duty frequently, ensuring that the equipment and facilities are well-maintained. This attention to hygiene adds to the overall positive atmosphere. However sometimes you find little dirt here and there, but that's understandable especially when you have a large number of turnover in a short time.
The staff at Pure Gym are friendly and always willing to help, which is especially comforting for someone like me who deals with a bit of anxiety. Their approachable nature makes it much easier to feel comfortable while working out.
However, one downside I've encountered is that some people tend to sit on their phones instead of using the equipment. This can make it frustrating when I’m trying to complete my sets, especially since I don’t have much time to spend at the gym. While I know this isn’t the gym's fault, it can be quite annoying at times.
Overall, I would recommend Pure Gym to anyone looking for a supportive and clean place to achieve their fitness goals!

We ask that members return their weights after use, to ensure that the gym remains and safe and tidy environment for our members. However we know that at busier times, weights are not always returned and our team complete regular re-sets of the gym.
We understand that this is sometimes frustrating for our members, and it is included within our Gym Rules that members should return weights after use. Anybody witnessed leaving equipment out of place will be spoken to by our Gym Team.
If you have any specific concerns relating to this matter, please speak with a member of the gym team where they will be able to assist further.

All weights have surface rust all round on them upstairs .was given a free day pass for mental health month and access code to
gym would not work several times not a great experience for me and my company joining a new gym maybe I expected too much of the gym

Well organised and large gym that can do with a few improvements
Well organised and large gym with superb equipment and friendly staff (which isn't always the case with a certain number of users but I guess that is the standard occurrence in most gyms). The male toilet area can be cleaner and the entrance door scanners definitely need checking as they do not work properly, which creates mini queues at times.

Already a member (off peak membership)…
Already a member (off peak membership) at west Thurrock and wanted to upgrade to a plus membership but the app and website will only allow me to upgrade core. Sent emails for help but just got a response to try the app. So had to cancel and pay the £15 joining fee again.
