Easy to use website

Very easy to fill in the application, clear options, and very competitive in price. Hope I don't have to find out how quickly they pay a claim, but up to taking out the policy excellent service.

Constructive feedback

Initially, Questor were helpful and took the time to look into my unusual circumstances. Unfortunately, the follow-up call the later that day was quite abrupt and rude when I explained that I wanted to book my car hire and needed to make sure I had the correct insurance in place.

The follow-up email confirmed that they could not insure me because I am based in Cyprus and that their underwriting was only for UK residents.

The issue is that I am a UK resident living within the UK Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus, which are British territory. I was simply trying to make sure my circumstances were properly understood and that I was genuinely covered before booking.

I would encourage Questor to review how it supports members of the Armed Forces community and consider whether its policies properly recognise those living within the Sovereign Base Areas.

Thankfully, I didn’t proceed with the booking and have since found an insurance company that understands Armed Forces families, understands the SBA situation and supports the Armed Forces Covenant.

My feedback is not that Questor couldn’t provide me with a policy — it’s the lack of understanding and the way the situation was handled. Hopefully this is something they can learn from.

Easy to quote and apply, completely priced. Haven’t had to make a claim but it’s been smooth sailing so far.

Very efficient. Great price despite not being able to honour a cheaper one because the contract had run out.

I compared other car-hire excess insurers, and Questor came out on top. The cover was far more comprehensive, while the price was still genuinely competitive. Signing up online took minutes, and the full policy documents arrived almost instantly. Excellent value, quick and hassle-free. I would recommended.

I found the process of purchasing the insurance very easy, it was very clear what I was adding (or not) and the quote was very good, especially for a whole year multi trip policy and the UK rentals covered, too. However, I reserve judgement as, like all insurance companies, the proof is in the way they handle claims! My policy hasn't even started yet, so will reserve the right to edit, if I'm unfortunately forced to used it!
