Randstad UK Reviews 

I will give you a review in 2 months time. Right at the moment, it feels silly to wear a badge that has no information about your position or colleague number whatsoever. It's a cheap piece of paper with hardly any info about you in a plastic envelope that you can just clip on or pin to your shirt or t-shirt. Any other detailed review I will add later on in couple of months as I only just done my second day. Also no info about parking. Paid £13 last two days.

Update on 2nd December: Here I am sitting at home jobless after 3 weeks at NHS. Don't go with Ranstad. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Worst agency to rely on.

Having ran my own agency I know how important customer service and communication is! Constantly replying to Hollie, jack ( you might have the wrong jack?) Charlotte ect with no retort whatsoever, it seems like I’m being made a fool off?? Not the case as I normally do the recruitment, I would never use this company even at a last resort!! It’s a shame because I doubt if their superiors have any inclination of the service they supply!! My advice, look elsewhere! I think I’m talking about Reading branch!?

Signed up with Randstad through my local job centre while on Universal Credit. First place they sent me with my 0 hours total of teaching assistant experience was a nearby secondary school. I had only just sent off my DBS cert application, but the Randstad employee I was in contact with assured me it would be fine.
Long story short; it of course was not fine, and I got sent home half way through the day. I was told I would be paid for half a day but that never happened.
Anyway, afterwards I was passed on to a different Randstad employee, who also seemed very confused as to why I was sent straight to a secondary school with no experience or DBS certificate.
She told me she would get me some voluntary experience as a first stepping stone, and then we look for opportunities with younger kids (I myself was/am only 19, so I felt a little awkward with secondary school kids).
Told her my availability, and she asked that I read up on some techniques and such while she finds said voluntary work for me.
Never heard from her again.
I gave up on it all, because I was already 4 months into my job search while on my "gap year" and decided I'd probably be better off putting all my attention on Uni applications in hopes of squeezing in somewhere.
Good news is I'm at Uni now! Studying something I enjoy. I just remembered how this all went down, and thought it might be helpful for young/unexperienced people to know about.
Recruitment agencies can only do so much.
So, while I can't put too much blame on them, since I wasn't really giving them much to work with, I do think things could have been handled a lot better.

The Randstad team communication was brilliant throughout my application process. I was always promptly updated and advised on what to expect from the interviews and how to best prepare. I’m really happy with the level of care and service provided, and would definitely recommend them to any jobseeker.

Becky responded very quickly and was very helpful when I misunderstood a small part of the application process.

The fact that I received a reply quickly was crucial to alleviating my worries.

I was employed as an assembly operative at Randstad with a 9-month contract, but I was unexpectedly laid off without any explanation or notice. I was called into the office and told to go home, leaving me without any support or guidance. This sudden termination has put a significant strain on my family and financial situation. I expected better communication and professionalism from a reputable company. I would not recommend Randstad based on my experience.

Hired by Randstad Education Liverpool for an 8 to 9-month position, but they abruptly ended the assignment after just one month without explanation. Completely dishonest and deceptive

Unbelievable unprofessional company, offered a job to which I agreed - gave them everything they asked for certificates cv etc and they ghost me. No apology no job just gone. DO NOT trust this company

Working with Randstad has been amazing but most of all working with Sheryl she has always helped me whenever I needed, always answers my emails and calls straight away and never failed to help me find a job.
Randstad is such a good company to work with and they will do anything to help you.

Time and time again I was promised labouring work, they've sent me to sites and there's been no jobs, they said I had jobs on a Friday just to not give me the postcode then when it comes to Monday that's has gone on for months, ill message asking and the jobs already been taken so I phone up and get a rude reply, meanwhile im not paying bills, spending money on travel from Margate to places like Canterbury, Whitstable, birchington etc... i really cant afford to be doing that, even got me to spend money on new ppe just to mug me off again, its not just this agency all agencies seem to be like it but 4 months ago I was living a good life no worries and now I'm in debt don't have work because I've been messed around so much and it actually drove me to a mental breakdown so for anyone who reads this please don't make this same mistake, there useless don't care about you and who it effect you, you'd think with comission and the money there on they'd be better at there jobs and maybe take a bit more care. i know you dont have to worry you earn money weather or not you get people work but not caring and messing people around and giving them false hope is not on, I'd actually sue them if I could completely ruined my life. Thank you!!!!!!!

A company that is not respecting the practitioners that should represent on the market..knows nothing ..like ZERO (other than to express me "demands" from stupid bosses and companies)!!! Has no idea what my education on my resume is...what costs what..impacts practitioners more than you would actually earn anything .... does a mockery on you...makes YOU chase others and be in loss with money ...and then wants to make a living on my expensive education and 20 years of study with 8 academia in architecture...that is randstad in the continent.... a LOOSER!!! I was promised a job with Optima Legal, but after a time-wasting several month boarding and interview and onboarding process, it became apparent that this offer was a bogus scam, or insincere at best.

My interaction with Rachel Brown over the phone when I called in to inquire about my application is what every customer would want. Her communication and willingness to listen patiently and direct me accordingly was top-notch. It was my first interaction with a representative of Randstad and she portrayed the image of the company very well. They have a wonderful treasure in Rachel, in their company. Kudos to her and Randstad.

I have now worked for Ranstad for 6 months and have yet to meet anyone from this faceless company. Communication is therefore all by Email and response times are painfully slow. Their holiday system is awful and requires you to contact them every time for a balanced, before you can book

My call was answered quickly and efficiently by Teja. He advised clearly and efficiently all I needed to know about remaining holidays I had left and booked them without problem. Thank you

I got a job I hadn't applied for thanks to Randstadt!
They found me and convinced I was a perfect match for a position they had been hired to fill.
The process was smooth and they provided just the right support.

I recently accepted a nursing position through Randstad in Newcastle, but unfortunately, I had to resign after just four weeks due to their incompetence. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. The agency was highly disorganised and lacked the expertise needed to manage their responsibilities effectively. In hindsight, I wish I had trusted my initial instincts instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. I can not recommend their services to anyone. The only thing they seemed proficient at was making excuses.
