Great Organisational Skills and Expertise
I was impressed by the organisational skills in advance. All costs were quoted with options and pictures of alternative products and prices if desired. On the job the engineer arrived at time specified and worked exceedingly hard throughout the day stopping briefly for a lunch snack. I would highly recommend the engineer and have 'Whats App'd this to 20 neighbours who live in my Close as someone I would highly recommend.

Needs more attention
There are not enough leads and many of them are not strong at all. This site has so much potential and in the past no other trade app came close more needs to be done on the marketing to generate more leads and bring this company back to the were it belongs…..at the top!

Sergiu Nasalean from Cheltenham. He came today and fixed 4 good quality industry approved lights in a bedroom. He was most professional and meticulous and took care to leave the bedroom in pristine condition and ensure that I was completely satisfied with the new lights, which I was.

RD Plastering Wirral scammer
If I could, this should be zero. Brendan from RD Plastering (Wirral). He contacted quickly after I’d posted the job, he sounded legitimate and I booked him. Said he would come and cried off with an excuse. Arranged he’d come instead the next day, didn’t reply to message and didn’t show up. Scammer for sure. Says trying to build up ratings on Rated People but is a time waster.
I am kicking myself as I wasted time waiting around for 30 mins on the second day.
Rated People would not allow me to post the review for some reason which would help other potential customers.

Most reviews here seem to come from traders. I’m writing as a customer who found a trader through Rated People.
I left a 2-star review after a porch project that fell well short of what I had understood had been agreed beforehand. Certain features and standards had been discussed clearly in advance and were important in my decision to go ahead.
The work was ultimately carried out by people who did not appear to have been briefed on all of those agreed requirements, and the finished result was, in my view, poor and significantly below expectations. When I raised concerns afterwards, I did not feel that there was any meaningful attempt to resolve them.
One thing I did appreciate was having the opportunity to leave feedback, so I posted an honest review reflecting my experience.
Shortly after it appeared, I received a phone call from the trader challenging the review and asking for it to be changed or removed. I found the conversation uncomfortable enough that I chose to amend it rather than continue the dispute.
That experience left me with little confidence in the value of ratings on Rated People. If customers feel pressure after leaving negative feedback, the overall picture may become less reliable than it appears.
I also contacted Rated People at the time to explain my concerns but did not receive a response.
My takeaway: treat online ratings as only one source of information. Personal recommendations and seeing examples of previous work would now carry far more weight for me.

I called to enquire about reinstating my Rated People account and was quoted a completely different price to the one displayed on my account online. When I queried the discrepancy, I was told that the prices shown on my account were out of date and that the higher prices quoted over the phone were the correct ones.
I pointed out that I had only just logged in and could still see the advertised pricing, so it was difficult to understand how it could be considered out of date. Rather than addressing my concerns, the call was abruptly ended.
Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

I would not recommend Rey Capital…
I would not recommend Rey Capital Builders to anyone. I trusted them to build the front steps leading to my door, but the work was done so poorly that it has left me in a very stressful and unsafe situation.
I currently have no safe stairs to access my home. This is especially serious because I am dealing with health issues and have been in and out of hospital. If I needed to call an ambulance, access to my property would be extremely difficult and dangerous.
I expected professional and safe workmanship, but instead I have been left with a hazardous and unfinished result. This experience has caused me a great deal of stress, worry and financially loss . I would strongly advise others to avoid using this company.

One thing they got right is an easy sign-up process after that poor interface, which is sometimes confusing to use. My job was uploaded and found 3 interested parties (3 max. allowed). However, a day and a half later, I logged in to find my job had been closed!! For me a complete waste of time.
I have had far better results with other trade sites!!

Tradesman and Homeowners be aware do not use this company they are corrupt and are only interested in taking your money.
The experience we have had has truly been herendois, they are just out to rip you off, there is no customer care they take money from your account even when you have cancelled, they have been reported for fraudulent activity with my bank and we are now taking this matter further, I’m guessing this is why they have no form of contact, we will be seeking compensation for money they have taken without our consent.
AVOID AT ALL COST.

I discovered that the business address displayed on this platform (246 Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 3AQ) is entirely fake. Despite Rated People advertising that they 'take all the stress and the worry out of finding someone' and that they vet their traders, they allowed this false information to be displayed on their website. When I complained, they emailed me claiming they are just an 'introductory service' to distance themselves from responsibility. Their claims of vetting and stress-free service completely contradict their hidden small print."

Rated People has given me one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.I hired a tradesman through their website. The work was very poor and left me in a very difficult situation. I emailed Rated People to explain the problem. They asked me to send over my messages with the tradesman and photos of the work. I sent everything, but they never emailed me back.With no other choice, I called them directly. The person on the phone told me I would receive a email ,but it never happened . I called a second time. They assured me 100% that someone would get back to me. Once again, nobody called or emailed.Out of options, I reached out to them on LinkedIn. Only then did I finally get an email back. All they said was that they would email the tradesman and ask them to contact me! No apology for the stress I was put under . Rated People offers no real support or protection for consumers when a job goes wrong.
