Brian and Daniel just finished work on my house, insulating under the floor. They were both very pleasant, were hard working, did the job without any issues and once finished they cleaned up afterwards.
I would thoroughly recommend Richardson and Starling.

Would never and will never again use this company. From start to finish disgracefully amateur. The fact they offered £200 off the price and then accepted £400 off tells you everything you need to know. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Horrendous workers, and especially dreadful management.

We had a survey carried out by Craig because we had high humidity issues within the house. He was very knowledgeable, candid and honest. He was proffessional and gave us his diagnosis along with a resolution that we could work toward. I have faith and trust in his assessment.

We had our kitchen floor done today as we had woodworm the guys done an excellent job no mess nothing was too much trouble for them .
The guys tidied up everything they really went over and above and I can't praise them enough.
This is an excellent company and I highly recommend them 5 stars isn't enough brilliant job .

We have a very small damp issue in our downstairs toilet (1.5m x 1m). Asked R&S if they would be able to come round to look at it and recommend a fix. We were informed they could but to prepare a written quote it would cost £180. The kicker is that if we needed work done then even if we got it done by R&S it would NOT be netted any final bill. They can do an email report for less but tough luck if you actually want them to do the work - you then have to cough up the difference (and again no netting off).

So regardless if you have a very small damp issue or a really significant one its the same charge. I am no damp specialist but pretty sure our problem is tiny compared to majority of damp issues they attend to.

It is a ridiculous pricing strategy from a supposed national, highly reputable company. God knows what their actual charges would be for actual work done. Put me right off using them and currently looking elsewhere

We’ve received very poor service from Richardson and Starling’s Edinburgh location. So much so that we are on day 10 of what we were told was a 3 day job and it’s still not finished. To make matters worse, we have had no communication since last Tuesday when we were told someone was calling back to confirm the next steps. We’ve called the office and emailed but still nothing.
I’m hoping someone in their office might read this and call to follow up and finish their work which has been poor to date.
Very disappointing as they had come recommended but our experience has been very poor

Had this company do work for me recently,the standard of workmanship was excellent it was a damp course and plastering I had done would highly recommend them

R&S were highly efficient throughout the process of the wood treatment work I had done. They offered a competitive price and were available at relatively short notice to carry out the job.

We had Lewis and Paul around our new house completing woodworm treatment before we moved all of our stuff in. They were professional and efficient, and tackled a fairly precarious loft really quickly and made the whole process really easy for us. Really happy with the work, would definitely recommend!
