Many customers appreciate the platform's flexibility, finding it easy to work with and a good source for extra income. People enjoy choosing gigs based on their preferences and value the opportunity to make money on their own schedule. The app is often described as user-friendly, with some praising recent upgrades, features like auto-match, and the convenience of add-on gigs. I wonder how Roadie works

I wonder how Roadie works? Sometimes we who have vans get small gigs, and other people who drive sedans or mini SUVs get big gigs that don't even fit in their cars.
Communication with the drivers needs to improve, they need to create a direct line to solve certain problems.
please raise up the pay

Only seeing pharmacy orders in…

Only seeing pharmacy orders in californias central valley. And dreadful low payouts on the home depot orders. I assume that means its flooded with drivers. So I do just enough deliveries to keep the account open & functional.

App has too many issues

App has too many issues. Takes waaay to long to load to view gigs, especially XD gigs. Scanning items is very slow as well. Economy isn’t so good but the gigs pay getting lower and lower every week. More deliveries, heavier items mixed with mail innovation so people with larger vehicles end up with not many gigs to work with.

Cleveland Roadie XD

Cleveland: Roadie XD has evolved. Finding it more difficult to be selected for package 2lb routes to the larger Home Depot deliveries, just added. Will travel to Pittsburgh & Columbus: Roadie XD and not having these issues. The Auto add on feature is very nice. Thank you. Miss the Roadie XD blocks. It would be nice to be able to pull inside a building, to scan and load. Cleveland’s weather changes like Carter takes liver pills. 😊

Acceptance Rate Poor

Haven’t been getting orders for 2 going on 3 days. According to them it’s because I have low ratings but I have 3 stars and never had an issue on any of my deliveries. The worst part is I just started and was thinking about making this my main gig but I’m discouraged now.

Roadie Shaping

I enjoy that there are blocks now! I’m very grateful to be considered for guaranteed pay.

However, I found out that Roadie pay is calculated by already assuming you’re going that way. Which I believe causes drivers to lose money. If the pay for gigs were higher and we didn’t depend on people tipping (most of the time they don’t) to raise the gig pay, Roadie might have more drivers. A lot of us are going out of our ways and sometimes end up in different states. We then aren’t paid [enough] for the drive back to where we came from.

There have been a couple of times where I pulled up to the warehouse and drivers cancelled their blocks on the spot because “it’s not worth it”. One driver was telling me he had 100 deliveries to do the other day and didn’t think the pay was enough to do it again. I believe him because if you don’t have a full tank of gas when you start, you’re sometimes just making money back to be able to fill your tank back up. For example, someone can have a gig for $110 but end deep in VA from Maryland and have to drive back to Maryland. So then they’re only making $20.

I also believe we should have the option (maybe toggle) to have our route end back where we picked up the gig from due to majority of drivers needing to go back in that area.

I also think it would be great if Roadie offered “missions” like GrubHub, DoorDash, or instacart. “If you complete one block then ___” maybe guaranteed pay, higher paying block advantages, or first pick to high pay offers on AutoMatch. Or “If you get 4+ star ratings on this block or gig then____”. I think having incentives or ways drivers can earn money bonuses (say $20-$40) would make a huge difference and motivate the population that uses Roadie. Or maybe even a “thanks, I’ve seen you’ve been active on Roadie! Here’s a $60 (just an example) bonus”. I know it would really change someone’s day/life/mindset!

To go along with this, I think there should automatically be higher paying gigs when the weather is bad. Or if it’s super busy and warehouses need drivers, you can raise the pay or offer $2 extra when we complete 5 deliveries..per 5 batch delivery. It’ll add up! Drivers know that.

Roadie could also include an alert about weather in the area to ensure drivers know that conditions may change and double check they want to continue driving.

I really hope this is going to be read and taken into consideration because Roadie really is a great app, I think it just needs a little shaping.

Also, if someone signs up for a block and there are no more deliveries to be given out, I think (such as Amazon Flex), Roadie should pay the driver the guaranteed earnings or even half of what they were guaranteed for their time and gas.

I don’t know Roadie’s budget for anything of course but I know lots of people use Roadie to get their packages shipped/delivered and that’s pretty awesome.

I enjoy helping the community by…

I enjoy helping the community by delivering goods, especially the elderly. This platform allows me to earn some income while ensuring they have their prescriptions, as most of my gigs are from Cvs. We live in the second smallest city in Virginia so I understand why the gigs are infrequent. It would be great to have more opportunities. I usually get 6 to 8 offers a week (in my city.) My only complaint is receiving offers for Roanoke, which is almost 2 hours away. And there should be a way to contact the customer before we arrive because there are so many places without service in this area.

The app needs a little bit of fine…

The app needs a little bit of fine tuning with certain aspects of making deliveries but it’s workable obviously lol. I went through around 6 different people over about 6 months of needing my old phone number deleted from the 2 part verification until Victor from customer service was the one who fixed my issue and I can’t praise him enough! Thanks again Victor!!!

I would like to provide feedback…

I would like to provide feedback regarding the shift reservation process in Roadie. When a driver taps on an available shift, the system makes us wait up to 15 minutes before letting us know whether we were awarded the block. During that entire time, we are unable to reserve other available shifts, even though we don’t know if we’ll actually get the one we selected. If I tap on a shift, it already means I want to accept it. There shouldn’t be such a long waiting period just to receive a yes or no. This process wastes valuable time and often causes drivers to miss other available blocks while waiting for a decision. An instant confirmation—or at least a much shorter response time—would make the experience far more efficient and fair for drivers. It would reduce frustration, improve productivity, and help ensure available shifts are filled more quickly. I hope you will consider improving this process for the benefit of all drivers. Thank you for your time and consideration.
