Needed a part for my old alarm system. Looked on the Internet and found what I needed on The Security Warehouse's website. I ordered it late Monday evening and it was delivered at lunch time on Wednesday. It was fitted and tested on Wednesday evening. What a superb service.

Ordered a part at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, arrived next morning at 10 o'clock. Excellent service. Item well packed, unopened in original packing. Full marks.

Just Find Someone Else - Trust me. SW delayed sending the product, I found an alternative solution in the meantime. I requested a refund and they took 20% as a restocking charge! Do yourself a favour and just find someone else to buy from (someone else who cares about their customers).

Always been a great experience

I've used Security warehouse a few times in the past and always found them reliable, Sadly that's changed.
I placed an order with them last week and they happily took the £126 out of the account, contacted them a couple of days later to ask about the order and was told that the items were out of stock and they didn't know when they would be in. Told them to cancel the order and refund the money but still waiting, contacted them today only to be told that refunds take 7 days. Strange, it takes 30 seconds to take your money but 7 days to refund ?, if they do this to a lot of people they make good money from the interest alone. As far as I'm concerned this is pretty shady practice, taking money for goods they obviously don't have.
I've lost a customer over this & it's certainly ensured I'll never deal with them again.
If I don't get the money refunded, I'll be reporting them to the credit card company and Action Fraud. Order: 96324

Just told them that if the money is not refunded within 24 hours, I intend to report it to the Police as a fraudulent card transaction.

I have no idea why anyone would use this company.
I googled a part and their web site said they had it at a reasonable price, with difficulty on their web portal I ordered and paid for it. A week later they informed me they didn't have what i wanted but could get it if I paid an additional £64, making it dearer than i could get from any of my usual suppliers. I declined the offer and and asked for a refund of my money giving them my bank details for a refund, 10 days later I managed to find a phone number spoke to a nice young lady who must have woken their accounts to generate a refund. Even then they found difficulty as I have only had a business account with Lloyds for over 20 years. Total time from buying to refund 37 days emails to and from about 35 times.
If you happen on the web site remember the old saying BUYER BEWARE. My own stupid fault I should have realized when they had no phone number or contact details on their site.

Placed an order 2 days ago. Checked status of order next day expecting to see it had been dispatched but was still in processing. Went on chat line and was advised it might be 5 days until items would be sent. Assuming the item was out of stock i cancelled the order so i could order an alternative which was much more expensive. Today i again check order status and it has not been posted. Again the chat line tells me it could take 5 days until dispatch. No mention of this on the website although found it eventually in the FAQ. Tempted to cancel this order but as i haven't yet received my first refund i am a little reluctant. I've been a customer of SW since 2009 but will definitely not be using them again. Beware if you use them and you can get it for same price elsewhere.
As an extra to this experience i waited for my refund and send them a reminder email urging them to return my money. To be fair they responded to the email but no refund.
Eventually contacted my credit card company and explained situation plus some screen shots proving order was cancelled and screenshot promising refund. Credit card company credited me next day. Well done Chase.
Do not use this company. They are very helpful when you place an order, the web site is actually excellent with lots of useful information. Trouble is they like taking your money and dont send you the goods. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Fast well packed

Placed an order on 1/10 and all items were "in stock". The next day my order became "stalled" because I opted for a shipping address that was different to the billing address. Apparently, this is a requirement, but I didn't see it anywhere during the checkout flow.

Once this issue was resolved, I was waiting and waiting for the order to be dispatched, but it wasn't until after 4 working (6 calendar) days that the order became ready for despatch, Apparently they need up to 5 *working* days to prepare delivery, so this was within their timeframes. Again, no mention about despatch times on their website, only the shipping option "Shipping (UK - DPD Courier with 1 hour delivery slot notification (Free))" which made me think I would have received my item within a few days, not a whole week later. They could have called this "Shipping 5-7 days (UK - DPD Courier with 1 hour delivery slot notification (Free))" to make it more obvious.

While waiting, I had a look at what the competitors had to offer and to my surprise there was another large competitor offerering the same items £5.1 cheaper, with next day delivery if you order before 1pm.

Since i bought 5 units, i thought i'd make use of their Price Match which clearly states "If you find a better price or genuine offer please report it to our team so that we can better it.".

I messaged them, and to my surprise, they said "We are able to Price match X2 of the WDC-0002 as these were from our exisiting stock. As a new order had to be placed for the remaining 3 and due to price increases we are unable to offer these at discount.".

So not only they "matched" and not "bettered" the price of their competitor, but they offered to match just 2 out of the 5 units!!

I've never come across such a lame excuse in the past, so I dread to think what they'll say if I come across any issues with any of the products.

Excellent service

Order placed Monday Morning for install following Monday, no update whatsoever, how come they can run business like this! Phone lines doesn’t work, no email address or response from ticket service. Requesting refund via paypal.

I purchased my PIR from Security Warehouse on the 09th of May after contacting them on a premium number confirming they had it in stock.After that, there was no product,no response, and no refund.
I have had to wait 30 days before the credit card company will refund my money from this bad purchase.
Do not approach these fraudulent people, you will not get your product, ever, or comminication.

Today the 17th of June 2024 security Warehouse have responded 38 days after they took my money.
Their claim of defence is that they wanted my home address to send the goods to as it was my first order with them. They already had my home address for the card payment. A pathetic poor lame way for a defence. I had also sent a question to them on their site asking if they were sending the goods to my home address so I could keep a look out for the parcel, they didn't reply. There defence is flawed!!!

First thing to know before making a big order, is read all the other reviews and be prepared to be Very. Patient.

As long as you know you need to do this, are not in a rush, know that there'll be (possibly multiple) delays, then you will get (most of) what you order at a better price than almost anywhere else (which, for me anyway, was the main thing).

I went ahead with an order knowing all of this from reviews here - and (some time later) am happy with what I got - and appreciate the staff sorting it all out.

Obviously the company needs to fix/streamline their handling of orders and stock etc. - seems to create a lot of unneccessary work for themselves - but everything gets sorted-out/fulfilled in the end, at the best prices I could find.

Had the parts I needed. Quick delivery and very helpful staff. Will definitely use again.

Would definitely recommend Security Warehouse. The items I ordered came the next day and when I phoned to ask for advice on one of the items I was buying, the staff member was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly. Will be using again. Thank you.

Ordered Monday and item arrived the next working day. Great customer service and low prices, I Would highly recommend Security Warehouse Ltd.

Ordered an item beginning of March, was then told out of stock, eventually found out the order was cancelled on 20th March, then contacted for refund was told 5 days no refund still, have phoned and messaged them no response. Avoid they take money and don't refund.

Waited over a week after placing an order, to be told they didn't have any of the items in stock.

They send out emails from no-reply@ and their site doesn't have an email address to use (I got their email from this TrustPilot site).

I have cancelled the order, and now I am waiting for a refund.

I placed an order with security warehouse in the middle of January for 90 pounds worth of equipment. After about a week there was no communication so I ended up ringing them on their Premium rate number to be told the parts were not in. Despite that they had charged me the full amount. I then asked for a refund which they agreed. I am still waiting for that refund several weeks later, after several emails
